I read the first 2 books, the short stories and then jumped to this one. So..umm.. I'll definitely take Clay
I think my preferance so far would be Clay first with Jeremy and Karl in second place...

Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike Clay, but there's just something childish & needy about him that rubs me a tad bit the wrong way.

Martina's December TBR Clean-up Challenge - 3/10

Just finished Seduce the Darkness (Alien Huntress, #4) by Gena Showalter (★★★1/2). The series is futuristic/alien urban fantasy. It's an indeterminate future where multiple races of aliens have come to earth. There was a big human/alien war, but now there's (relative) peace. However, there are government agencies specializing in alien intelligence & assassinations. And it's around one of those groups, designated the A.I.R. (though they don't remind you in this most recent book what it stands for) around whom the individual stories unfold.

This book centers around Devyn, King of the Targons, who we've met in previous books, and Bride McKells, a vampire. Devyn is an avid collector of women, of the "wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am" variety. He's been with a vampire before, but something about Bride is keeping his attention like never before. Bride has a mysterious hole in her memory with regards to her past. And it turns out Devyn has something she wants.

This series is generally a 3-star series for me, but this one seems to be a bit of an improvement over the others. I think I liked it more b/c the female lead was less of a bitch than the ladies in the past three. Despite being a vampire, Bride is softer, more flawed, but more likable than the others. Like the others, the story wraps up a bit too quickly at the end. Still, I keep coming back for more. I've got the next one on my bookshelf already so I'll be reading it soon.
