Amanda D. (tinyminx) | 634 comments I'm reading The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo for June anyway, might as well sign up for this challenge.

Jane (PS) | 24334 comments I'm going to read One Foot in the Grave - very handy this book series turned up on this list :)

Jane (PS) | 24334 comments Buddy read Dee??

message 355: by Suzanne (new)

Suzanne (esmerelda1) | 2244 comments I'll try to read Girl with the Dragon Tattoo!

message 356: by Cee (new)

Cee I keep trying and failing the Random Book Challenge. The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo should be on its way to me. If it doesn't get here on time, I'll reread Scandal in Spring.

message 357: by Wan (new)

Wan (wanwaddell) | 2081 comments I'm going to read Sin Undone this month.

message 358: by ~Sara~ (new)

~Sara~ | 667 comments This is a tough one. The choices for Discworld, Dark-Hunter and Night Huntress are all at the same point in the series as I am. I'm leaning towards Night Embrace since I started it in April but had a hard time getting into it. I think I should give it, and the obnoxious piece of work that is Sunshine, another chance.

Jane (PS) | 24334 comments I've just finished One Foot in the Grave - great book: 4.5 stars :)

message 362: by Fran, Moderator (new)

Fran | 12278 comments I finished Midnight Sun (for New Moon)today 6/8. It was interesting reading the beginning of the saga from Edward's point of view. I enjoyed revisiting Edward and Bella- 4*.

message 363: by JC (new)

JC (jmnc) | 311 comments Finished The Bell Jar, 3 stars. Horribly depressing look inside a young woman's head as she slowly sinks into suicidal depression. I need something to lift my spirits, so I'm rereading Harry Potter for the umpteenth time!

message 364: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments whoops - I didn't see your msg until just now...haha! i'm going to maybe start this weekend, but your already done.

message 366: by Erin (new)

Erin H I finished Lover Unbound on 6/10. I really loved reading V's story but I didn't think Jane was the one for him. I thought the ending was really weird and I felt the author just wrote anything to get them back together...

The book gets better power through ...you can do it. Yeah Sunshine bothered me a bit but it does get better.

I think I'm going to read
Halfway to the Grave I've been wanting to get started on this forever.

message 368: by Jane (PS), Moderator (new)

Jane (PS) | 24334 comments Does anyone like Sunshine??!! (I started that book twice before I finally finished it on the third go...)

Joann | 973 comments I finished Scandal in Spring by Lisa Kleypas on 06.12.11. I loved this book; it was so much fun to read! I rated it 5 stars.

message 370: by Barbara ★ (new)

Barbara ★ | 3901 comments completed The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (Millennium, #1) by Stieg Larsson and what a book! starts of real slow but when it picks up steam it doesn't stop. can't wait to read the further adventures of Mikael and Lisbeth.

message 371: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments I loved this book and it got me hooked onto a whole new genre - nordic noir...I never realized how many mysteries were set in that area...and so far i've really enjoyed every one that i've read...I bought the DVD of the GWTDT to watch, but got to buy a new DVD player because mine died

I've finished [book:The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
by Stieg Larsson and it was awesome! You gotta get through the first part that tells the back story of the journalist, it was confusing. After that it's awesome! Some of the scenes were disturbing but the author did a really good job with the revenge Lizbeth had. Very satisfying!

message 374: by Karina (new)

Karina | 95 comments I finish Lover Unbound by J.R. Ward, today- wow, gave it 5 stars and I loved it!

message 375: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments I loved the GWTDT series - if you are looking for some similar authors let me know - i've gone on a bit of a nordic noir reading binge recently

KarenF (cleocleveland) | 1099 comments I finished Rosemary and Rue today (6/27/11). Very interesting world building and well written. I'm not entirely sure about the protagonist, sometimes she seems a step behind. But I still give it ****.

message 377: by Laurie (new)

Laurie I read Lover Awakened (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #3) by J.R. Ward . It's the first of this author's books I've read and I enjoyed it thoroughly.

~Sara~ | 667 comments Joyce wrote: "The book gets better power through ...you can do it. Yeah Sunshine bothered me a bit but it does get better...."

You were right Joyce, the book did get better. I'm not sure if Sunshine got less annoying or I was just better able to ignore her but I enjoyed the second half of the book and was able to finally finish Night Embrace yesterday (6/28**). I only gave it 2 stars though due to the horrible beginning.

message 379: by Wan (new)

Wan (wanwaddell) | 2081 comments I finished Sin Undone (Demonica, #5) by Larissa Ione on 6/25. It was amazing. 5 Starts for me. Then again. I love the entire series so I'm bias. :-)

taita What a great excuse to re-read one of my favorite books. I'll do Once and Always. Thanks Yz!

message 383: by KarenF (last edited Jul 03, 2011 05:30PM) (new)

KarenF (cleocleveland) | 1099 comments Somehow I never read the Anita Blake series so I'll read Guilty Pleasures for The Killing Dance.

message 384: by Jane (PS), Moderator (new)

Jane (PS) | 24334 comments Depending on time, I'll read either read The Importance of Being Ernest (an absolute favourite) or Club Dead... However Burning Up is tempting...

message 385: by ~Sara~ (new)

~Sara~ | 667 comments I'm going to read Burning Up because I own it and I've cut back on challenges to read more of the books that I own rather than buying new ones all the time! :o

message 386: by taita (new)

taita I was to excited to re-read this. I finished Once and Always today.

I love everything Judith McNaught. This was no exception. Each character was rich, and complex. No one was immune to the good or bad. I cried a little for each character AGAIN. I swear, each of them could have had their own book!

I gave it 4 stars overall (instead of 5) because there were some major misunderstandings that drove me up the wall. Still... I love Jason & Tory. I wish it didn't end.

Thanks for having it on the list this time around.

message 387: by Joann (new)

Joann | 973 comments I read Burnt Offerings on 07.07.11 for The Killing Dance. I rated it 4 stars.

message 388: by Jane (PS), Moderator (new)

Jane (PS) | 24334 comments Just finished Club Dead. I'm really warming to this series. I thought Sookie was a brainless twit in the first book, but she is definitely getting better if no less verbous on her kitchen cleaning and hostessing skills.

message 389: by [deleted user] (new)

I finished The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde on 7/23/2011 and giving it ****.

message 390: by Fran, Moderator (new)

message 391: by Jane (PS), Moderator (new)

Jane (PS) | 24334 comments I love The Importance of Being Ernest - I used to have a VHS movie of it and would watch it regularly when I was a teenager... Because of it I read all Oscar Wilde's plays etc back in the '80s...

message 392: by Megan L (new)

Megan L Harnett | 806 comments I read the The Darkest Night and it was fantastic. I love the demon/immortal story lines! I loved the relationship between Ashlyn and Maddoz. This series kind of reminds me of The Dark-Hunter series! I love it!! I finished this book on 7/25/11

message 393: by Yz the Whyz, Moderator (new)

Yz the Whyz (whyz) | 9327 comments I just finished All Together Dead, another entertaining episode in Sookie's adventures. I gave it 4 stars.
