You should read all of them this year. :) Make it a 2 part challenge hehe. (I'm evil. I know.)
Heidi I wrote: "Let me know about Warrior Heir. I have the audiobook in my wishlist on netlibrary."
I read the "Heir" series. My fave was the "Warrior Heir" though. Interesting concept.

Loved the "Blue Blood" series and "Beautiful Creatures" series. Haven't read others on your list. Love the vampire concept of "Blue Bloods". Very interesting, made me interested in fallen angels and started to read books on that subject.

Despite the fact that I haven't even got through half of my last library haul, I got these today:
I'm quite excited about The Help; I've been on the waiting list at the library for ages :)
Also, these arrived from Amazon:
A good day, all in all!
Yay indeed guys! I'm really looking forward to both of those; I confess I bounced around my room like a small child when they arrived.. :D
I just got courtesy of the awesome bookhouse in my grandmother's apartment building:
,
,
, and another one I don't remember. Plus I won from firstreads
and I just asked for an ARC - and got it - of
which has really made my day.
Peep wrote: "Yay for yays!"Hahaha! Becca I got Daughter of the Forest at the library as well last weekend, but am waiting until later in the month to start it. I'll let you know what I think.
Wendy & Alyssa - yay for both of you as well! I loved One for the Money and I love the Fever series.

Awesome! Just so you both know, it starts as a fairytale retelling sort of, and you'll find the storyline a little familiar if you know fairytales at all, but it goes far beyond that later. It's simply an awesome story and the herione is one of the strongest female characters I've ever read.
Books that just came in the mail!
I am so excited about these two books they are two much anticipated reads for this year!
I recently ordered Crescendo, the follow up to Hush Hush and finished it in three nights, I loved it, can't wait for the next instalment.

A friend loaned me Looking for Alaska and bought me The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, The Time Machine, and The Invisible Man. That adds to the pile of books I have to read, no need to spend money for some weeks, ha XD
I haven't been on this group for a while but I just finished Finnikin of the Rockwhich I loved. I also since the start of the year have read Rebecca,The Necromancer and Belle: A Retelling of "Beauty and the Beast". So I have been doing a lot of YA reading lately.

....that's so funny, Wendy - so, I won the fourth book and figured that figured "what a good time to jump on the wagon" and, so I did...to find out the fifth book is coming out, like, tomorrow. I'm loving the series so far!!!
I got all 4 of them too, jumping on the band wagon with you. I've only got about 50 pages left in Darkfever.
I have Saving Francesca too, but I'm trying to hold out on reading it until closer to when The Pipers Son is coming out.Melina Marchetta did a spin-off sequel to Saving Francesca, and she's doing a spin-off sequel to Finnikin... it makes me wonder what the odds are of her doing something similar for Jellicoe Road?
Wendy if you want to read Francesca now you should be fine because from what I read there is not a lot to remember from Francesca in Piper's Son. I hope that is right anyway, because I already read it!
Oh, I definitely won't be waiting until March. I have alot on my list right now that I need to read, so I'm not rushing to read it yet.I'm in the middle of the Fever series, I am going to reread the Clan of the Cave Bear books before March, the BDB books slowly before March. March is the new releases for those series.
On top of that I have Bloody Jack 1, the Bartemaeus Tril, Graceling, Everlost and sequel, Enders Game, 2 In Death's, Looking for Alaska, The Only Alien Left on the Planet. Crave and Covet... among countless others. I'm drowning in books to read. That's not even just my to read list. Those are books that I've already compulsively purchased and are sitting on my bookshelf!
It's an illness I tell ya!
I agree, but lately I feel a bit overwhelmed. I finish a book and stand at my shelf and between my Kindle and my bookshelf I've got so much to read I just never know what to pick up.Plus I've got people who've read books I've recommended, who in return loaned me books to read that are waiting patiently.
I have just check out
or as my copy is called 'Knife'. Never read a fantasy book like this before based on Faeries, looking forward to reading it.
Carmel wrote: "Tracy I'm sure you'll enjoy Saving Francesca, I certainly did!!"I really liked Jellicoe Road so I'm excited to read it.

Wendy when I first started in all my GR groups I felt so overwhelmed because before GR I normally just picked out books that looked good at the library (or through word of mouth). There were so many more opinions given to me on GR that my tbr pile was nuts! It has died down a lot since last year, so that has helped ease my mind. I am task driven so having a large tbr pile is not a good thing for me because I will obsess over it!
Just ordered
from Barnes & Noble for $3.99 (hardback).I havent started this series yet, but for that cheap, I couldnt resist!
Heidi I wrote: "Wendy wrote: "I agree, but lately I feel a bit overwhelmed. In a good way though. I'd rather have too much to read then too little.
For my Kindle I ordered
,
, and I preordered
.I've only thought the first of the Iron Fey books were 2.5 star readers, but once I start a series I generally try to finish it. I have to feel pretty unaffected by a book to not keep reading the series. Plus, I love Puck, haha.
ouuuu my copy of
finally came in the mail today. Man that thing is HUGE! I'm very excited but I have to finish this Vampire Academy book first...
I just hit the library YA jackpot today! I'm so, so excited to read all these books!! I'm not even sure where to start, these have been on my list for so long.

I need to finish
and
before I dig in... YAYYYYYYYY! I will be reading the rest of the weekend. How am I going to be able to focus on work next week with this stack waiting for me?
I just got an armload of books from my local library and ILL today, they all came in at the same time. I'll have to have a 2 week reading fest to get them all in.
and
Yay for
, that book should get way more attention. My copy has a slightly creepier cover
...which is actually kind of misleading! Hah.

(new)
Today at the library I picked up
and
and the librarian was kind enough to tell me that
and
are on their way. I know City of Bones got a LOT of mixed reviews. I'm going to give it a go and see how I like it. It seems to be one of those series that you either love or hate. I'm excited about the other 2 I got. Going Bovine was the 2010 Printz Award winner (same award Jellicoe Road got in 2009). I haven't read anything by Libby Bray yet.
Oh... I also started
today on audio. I've recently started commuting again for school so I have an hour each way 2 days/wk to listen away, especially since all my podcasts seem to have switched to a monthly format. I'm not really into circus stuff, but the narrators are great, and I'm also only 3 hours in. I've got a ways to go.

I got:
[bookcover:Rosebush|7..."
we're just doing the two of us because we wanted to add a bit of a "challenge" for ourselves when we went on our road trip. (had to buy a red book at the first store, orange at the second, etc) It was a lot of fun!
