Melina really is brilliant. Her writing, her characters, her *men*... so perfect.

I'm about to buy Son
on my Nook which is the newest and last book of
series. Looks so good! This one ties all 4 books together! Yay! Loved these!

Love them all - Tom especially!
I love Tom also! Saving June's hero is very similar to him; I definitely recommend it! Any other recs for Tom-like characters (with some romance)? :)

was kind of similar
I plan on reading that series next! :) Kinda nervous because I expect the first to end on a sad note :P
Danielle wrote: "I plan on reading that series next! :) Kinda nervous because I expect the first to end on a sad note :P"I liked If I Stay but I LOVED Where she Went -- they were both kind of sad I guess but not so depressing that I couldn't move like Melina's books or
Wow!! Nice work ;) I might just have to preorder the sequel to BRR too! Can't wait for the end of the month!!
Bethany wrote: "I just bought
and I pre-ordered [bookcover:Rebel Heart|1..."That's a lot of books for the TBR pile!
David wrote: "I've heard really good things!! Woo woo!"I'm so excited for you to read Daughter of Smoke and Bone!!! It's so amazing, you're gonna love it! And UNWIND!!! I know I've been pestering you to read that book for a while now. It's gonna blow your mind. I can't wait to hear what you think of it :)
I was not as into DOSB as some others. I liked Unwind though. I think it is because I like dystopian more than fantasy.

I love when you pester me in to reading awesome books Bethany! I'm trying to decide what order to read them in. I have a group read for Under the Never Sky but it probably doesn't really matter because I'll finish them in like 3 days each lol :) The only reason Rebel Heart is taking me so long is that my wife is using my Kindle to do a second beta read of The Sun Dwellers for me lol!!
Heidi (up to no good) wrote: "I was not as into DOSB as some others. I liked Unwind though. I think it is because I like dystopian more than fantasy."Dystopian's my favorite so I know I'll love Unwind but I'm a pretty huge fantasy fan too so I think DoSB will be awesome for me too ;)

BitterBlue is Such a great book. I take it you've already read the first two?
I feel like a Negative Nancy but Bitterblue disappointed me compared to Graceling (loved) and Fire (liked a lot). It is still a great read though!
Heidi (up to no good) wrote: "I was not as into DOSB as some others. I liked Unwind though. I think it is because I like dystopian more than fantasy."I wasn't really into DOSB either. But yeah, Unwind is really cool. I also forgot that Rebel Heart was coming out––AHHH I NEED TO READ IT SO BADLY.
Vanessa wrote: "David wrote: "Bought

Heidi (up to no good) wrote: "I feel like a Negative Nancy but Bitterblue disappointed me compared to Graceling (loved) and Fire (liked a lot). It is still a great read though!"Don't be such a Debbie Downer Heidi!! Lol, just kidding, it's hard to love all three books in a series :)

Yes, you need to read it!! Admittedly it's taken me a little longer to get into than the first one but it's still really good ;)

Me, too! That's why I'm so proud of myself. :D
I picked up
I was going to pick up something else but I can't remember for the life of me what it is now but I'm reading this now and enjoying it.
I've got two John Green books
and
I am a few chapters into each (Yes, I read several books at a time) and I always, always marvel at the author's style of writing. They're both great. I also got Terry Pratchett's
. THEN, I was also excited to find a great copy of Eva Ibbotson's
at a used bookstore for a very good price. Pretty proud of myself. Now the problem is to stop from hoarding another batch of books before I finish this batch. :)
David wrote: "Sheepsie, I just bought and started reading
Yay, it's my first John Green book :)"Get ready to sob, my friend :) That book is gonna kick your butt! It's so amazing!
I'm up to 42% and as I'm reading there's constantly this lump in my throat and every time I laugh at something (which is frequent) I almost cry too. It's only inevitable that the tears will pour out eventually. Wonderfully moving writing by Mr Green
I listened to this book on CD while driving and almost swerved off the road numerous times...it's amazing...but any John Green title is a worthy investment! The Fault in Our Stars great readalike = Jenny Downham's Before I Die...hilarious, poignant, deeply moving, beautiful.

Yay, it's my first John Green book :)"I just started reading this last night, too!
Once I finished TFiOS, I have these waiting...
I like having lots of choices. I tend to book hop a lot.

Yay!! So good! I finished late last night :)

Woot!
I happened to be on Amazon last night and picked up these books.
I've read good comments from everyone and the author seems like a nice, genuine guy.
Plus the 99 cent price tag is great for my holiday budget!
Now I just need to finish the book I'm reading now (
) and then find more ever elusive time. :)

I've been really making a point to find and support YA books featuring lead characters of color and or GLBTQ youth. That should be a goal for all readers because the world is increasingly diverse and well, this next generation isn't accepting of the status quo. Not to mention, there are some amazing books seriously being overlooked.I just grabbed
, and I'm totally salivating over
,
and
.Though they're not YA, these two books
and
were awesome reads!
I love how they actually have people of color on the covers, too!I went on a bookstore pilgrimage for used and remainder titles on Saturday and got
,
,
,
, and
. It's a weird bunch haha
Just finished
byStephen Wallenfels. Our library put it in the adult SciFi area. I would definitely put it in YA. Good, fast-paced read. Alien invasion told from the perspective of a 15 year old boy, and a 12 year old girl. I anticipate a sequel.
