Cool - I still have to start mine lolPS Steph - in case you missed It cause I noticed it's not bolded on the form, I finished Clockwork Angel for the free space - message #136
Hi ladies - I know it is late when I post this but just wanted to stop in for a minute & note that I have finished my Free Space read - Moon CalledMoon Called by Patricia Briggs 4*s for me...I really liked this book - at first I wasnt sure where this was going but after a few chapters I was hooked. I loved the air of mystery this book had - it was a little shocking not to find all of the "sexual encounters" most of the paranormal books have but it didnt matter because the characters were believable & I have to say I am looking forward to the 2nd one in the series.
I started out on page 58 yesterday afternoon & after that I couldnt put the book down...Im glad the rest of the series is just as good...I have the series down for a challenge requirement so I definitely will finish the books...

I avoided reading that series for so long because I'm not usually a fan of the werewolf/shifter books, but this is a fantastic series (like everyone else already said). Glad you enjoyed it!
Hope everyone had a Happy Halloween weekend! For some reason, I ended up super busy and didn't read one page for days - and after I picked up a slew of books from the library too, withdrawals happening galore...
Read my freespace book. Ended up changing it.Mind Games ★ ★ ★
finished 11.2.10
This was a different kind of UF story, very much a psychological thriller type of book. I found the main character a little annoying at times, but the overall story was intriguing and unique - Justine is a hypochondriac who joins a "psychological hit squad", where she and others feed their weaknesses into the bad guys to "disillusion" them. There are definite points in the story I just didn't find plausible, and the ending was a little disappointing, but it did keep my interest the entire time and the author gets points for creativity.
I've finished my werewolves-vampire shelf bookI gave Claire de Lune 2 stars, it's much more suited to a younger audience.

looks like we are off & running again - good luck with everyone's picks....
I finished my bookPack Challenge read 11/9/2010 3 stars
I liked this book but at the same time it annoyed me.
I liked how the three girls were snarky but they were too immature for my taste. I don't understand all the arguing between them an the slapping , but whatever.
I also thought it was weird how Zach called Sara a bitch a lot and there wasn't any romance between them. It seemed like the only thing they had going for them was great sex and I'm not sure how you can base a life long relationship on that. Overall I thought it was good and more like 2.5 stars.
Vivian wrote: "I'm going to go with Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins. Happy reading to all :)"I'll be looking forward to your review, Vivian. I've got this one on my TBR shelf.
I've been in such a reading rut! Don't think I've finished a book all week, but I'm getting back into things. Hex Hall will probably get done next week...
Just read
, which just happens to be on the shifters list, so I thought I'd say I kinda loved it. There were definitely aspects I didn't like, but it's a fantastic debut novel, I liked the writing and it read really quickly. It's like a shifter version of Twilight if Twilight was good (sorry to offend any Twilight fans). I'm still going to read Hex Hall, but I thought I'd throw out Nightshade in case anyone lost interest in their book.
I'm done with Pride read 14/11 - I gave it 5 stars - I know! it shocked me too! Review is here: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...
The Shifters series is popping up everywhere, may finally put it on my TBR. Glad you enjoyed it Shelleyrae!

Ladies, I am so behind in my reading & with the Holidays fast approaching its not looking good for the rest of Nov or any of Dec but I am not one to throw in the towel just yet - just reading when I can grab the time....
I'm with you guys too. Haven't been reading a whole lot lately. Started my free space read but need to get going on my shifter book. Maybe tonight...
Had a little downtime at work so able to get into my bingo read, yay!Finished Hex Hall 11.18.10 ★★★★
First off - Shifters are pretty much non-existent in the book, so I feel a little weird using the book for the challenge, but it was on the list, so life goes on. It's publishing company is part of the Disney group and it has a feel-good Disney vibe to it, I thought.
As for the story, a somewhat typical storyline: teenage outcast goes to new school, rooms and bonds with another social outcast, makes enemies with popular clique, falls for popular guy, etc. Nothing mindblowing, but I still really liked it. A quick, fun YA book.
Since some of us are prepping for Thanksgiving meals, gatherings and overall post-holiday exhaustion. Another early announcement!
