Vivian - the first book is pretty awful - if it wasn't for the fact I had bought 1-4 in advance I probbaly would have not bothered, the 2nd was better and so far the third and fourth really enjoyable IMO

Faythe can be rather annoying in #1, Shift. But, I agree w/Shelleyrae, if you can stand her through #1, the rest get better.

Yeah, I heard it was similar to Fever in that way, but she gets better.

Sorta, yeah. Things about both characters are a bit irritating early on, but they both grow throughout.
