Read
(it was ok/bleh... kind of 2.5-3*, and a bit lacking in character development and chemistry), then
(which wasn't as good as DP's other books, IMO, although it was enjoyable..3*), and I reread
(I love the angst in this one)

Woohoo! I finally found someone who agrees with me. I was beginning to think I'd lost my mind. LOL!;-)

I liked it but it was definitely not the best Garwood book. I listened to it on audio book and the narrator was really good. Plus the heroine was very likable.
Just finished reading
and
My first Lisa Kleypas and Mary Balogh's books. Really enjoyed both of them :D

I had to hide the book from my daughter. It was right there on the edge of too much. :)
Just finished
.. Gotta say it was original, and I loved it: preacher hero and ex-prostitute heroine.. I think that's a first!:-) 4*Now starting
(since I don't have Clint and Julie's book:-( )

which was my favorite in the series.
Finally started working on my stack of paranormal books for the PNR create your own october challenge. I'm currently reading
. It's pretty good and reminds me a little of True Blood and the Queen Betsy series.
Read
(which was ok, but I was disturbed by the fact that I thought the hero would be the first brother she hooked up with... a little weird for me, and the chemistry felt a little forced at first, so 3*) and
(respectively 4* and 3.5*) tonight...Sandra J wrote: "I liked *Just a Hint - Clint* a lot. I liked it almost as much as *Say no to Joe* which was my favorite in the series. ..."
Sandra, it's the only one I don't have:-( I'll have to wait till I pass another order (which I will try to wait a couple more weeks for, lol).. I really enjoy Lori Foster.. her books are fun!
I just started my first Georgette Heyer book, The Black Moth. The literary style and authentic vernacular is definitely a different sort of reading experience. I find myself having to pay closer attention than I might with a more modern romance, but it's pretty good so far.

I'm halfway through
. I wish I didn't have anything else scheduled today. I'm dying to finish it, but that will have to wait till tonight.
@ Delicious Dee: Here's what I posted in another group about Blue Diablo.I've enjoyed Ann Aguirre's Sirantha Jax series and her Ava Grey Skin series for differring reasons. So I went into this wanting to love Blue Diablo, but it's not quite there for me. I didn't really feel the attraction between the main characters. It's all on paper, but not making the connection for me. I did like the concept. Corine's powers and how she received them are interesting as well as other's paranormal abilities mentioned. The first 2/3 just felt slow. The introduction of a character in the last 1/4 really picked things up and the action sped towards a quick finale. I'll probably add the next book in the series to my TBR, but it won't go to the top of the list.
The book starts in Mexico, but the characters travel back to the U.S. fairly quickly. And while there are a few hops back into Mexico, most of the action takes place on the U.S. side of the border.
I am re-reading Love Unscripted by Tina Reber
because it was THAT GOOD! Ryan Christensen is just - Mmmm - I want him and all the characters in this book to be my friends! I tried to read The Host by S. Meyer again but for some reason I just can't get into it. Friends keep telling me that once I get past the first 8 chaps it gets better. Sorry, I'd rather curl up with a dreamy actor and a great story than fake interest. I'm going back to chapter 10 when Ryan makes love to Taryn for the first time! HOT!
Finished A Slice of Murder
. Cozy mystery centering around a pizza parlor owner. I picked it up yesterday because it's due back at the library; it wasn't until I read the first page that I realized it was set in North Carolina. LOL. I've been debating which book to track down for the challenge and this has been sitting in my library basket for a couple weeks. I wasn't sure at first whether I was going to like this book, but it grew on me. The sherriff's reasoning for making Eleanor the main suspect was a little thin and he seemed a little one-dimensional. But overall, it was charming and enjoyable.I made the mistake of picking up Talk Me Down
after finishing the other book. I should have known better, given it was already after midnight. I love what I've read so far and had trouble putting it down in order to get some sleep.

It's very good-lots of adventure and interesting characters. Today's plans were cancelled, so I'm going to finish it this afternoon. Gotta love Bennett! And I like that London (Lordy, what a name!) doesn't fall at his feet in a little puddle like every other woman he's met.
