It's up to you, Catherine. For me, I don't always know what star rating a book is going to get until I've written the review and really reflected on how the book affected me, know what I mean?

I find it helpful seeing what someone rated a book in these challenges just for a quick reference of what that person thought of the book. If I see that they gave 5 stars to a book I'm likely going to look into that book, if they gave it 3 stars I may ignore it for the time being.. just a thought! :)

D.G. I vote you go for Skin Game and The Hunger Games among those on your lists… these were very good. I've not read anything on your Male Authors list, but I liked what I have read by Piers A.
I don't need a star rating or review but a quick "done, this was great" or "done, didn't really like" that would be nice!

I thought it was very good. It's not a feel-good book, but the writing was entrancing. An interesting story that gets you thinking. Katherine, it's my first OW book. I'm eager to read The Complete Fairy Tales of Oscar Wilde. I'm not fond of reading plays, but I heard his plays are good:
The Importance of Being Earnest and Other Plays.
Cheryl, I'm almost afraid to watch a modern version of this novel. I think they will show too many of Dorian Gray's sins. I'd rather that be left to my imagination. :)
The importance of Being Earnest is good too. It's a comedy of sorts. I saw the movie with Colin Firth and Reese Witherspoon.

Well, after seeing the movie and knowing what his many sins are, it was done more tastefully than it could have been done. It was rated R but it wasn't as graphic as it could have been. I can't imagine reading the book, the movie left me feeling a little sad so I know the book would leave me feeling even more so.

I took The Picture of Dorian Gray with me when I went to Ireland in May partly because I had always wanted to read it and partly because it was the book for the Dublin read program. I haven't been able to get into it, but I'm not completely giving up on it either.

I have been putting that book aside to read fiction, but I'll pick it back up again soon. I'll have to return it to the library, and I've already renewed it the maximum number of times.
