Welcome back, Claire!Anna, I'm definitely coming round to your house next Christmas for giant tubes of Jaffas! :D
I went to the Washington Auto Show with the fam yesterday because that's what my sister wanted to do for her birthday. It was fun, but man were my feet hurting.
My feet are killing me! I'm getting ready for a ballroom competition, but I wasn't planning on competing this semester. My feet aren't used to my shoes, and after 2+ hours of cha cha I'm in serious pain!

A friend sent me this...http://www.uvioo.com/video?m=pritkin&...
Nowadays they don't make jeans like they used to or so it seems...
Lannister wrote: "Mello, I guess that's a car exhibition? It's tiring being on your feet all day."Yeah it is. I should have wore different boots. It was fun, but I was doing the penguin walk before long.
@Mello - Ouch. I can relate and that is never ever fun.. I have screwed up by wearing the wrong footwear, especially when there was walking or dancing involved, plenty of times. I hope you feel better... @Sarah - Hummm so Jaffa cakes are not God's gift to Earth as Lannie would have me think? Interesting. I still want to try them.
Maybe Sarah's status as a vegan is influencing her decision? But, either way, you have to try them! :)
I will. Its not like they're readily available so it'll be a while before I do any trying anyways. Plus I am always up for trying new sugar :)
Steve's (my hubby) random comment of the day...okay - it wasn't that random, seeing as how he was commenting on the burger rolls I purchased for tonight's supper.
"Where'd you get these? The Lilliputian bakery?"
Finally back from my ballroom competition. Getting up at 4:00am to get ready, and then going to an after party from 6:00pm to 1:00 was probably not the best decision I ever made. I've learned so many things about my teammates I wish I could forget.
Has that ever happened to anyone?
I'm doing an execise for my Food & Bevereges class. We had to pick 10 cocktails and discribe what they have, whats the differnt prices and cl/ounces/gramms you have to use... how you prepare it and how you serve it...and all the research is making me want to drink one, LOL
The stangest part is that I'm not a drinker but those pictures look tasty as well as the flavour ingredients(coconut, kiwi, ...berries, vainilla...)
I hope the next assigment will be sth with desserts!
Good to know I'm not the only one =pThank God most of them were too intoxicated to remember what happened this morning! I have no intention of reminding them.
yep! blackmail material is always good to have around. and yes that does happen at parties Claire... lots.
So now you have to think. Will you use those pictures for achieving world peace? or world domination? I would go with the latter ;)
Zeenat wrote: "omg guys, I love massages. I had an amazing one today. I feel so tired now!"Wooo!!! Me too!
Awesome, Zeenat! Hope you're feeling all nice and relaxed. :)Massages from hot guys. Is there anything better?!
Lannister wrote: "Massages from hot guys. Is there anything better?!"Depending on the perspective, massages from hot girls :P
LOL I actually always use a female... I think i'm too shy around guys. I've had a guy once, but he was gay so it was all good :) All I want is for all the tension to just fade away.... lol
Actually my massage therapist was also a girl and she was really good. She would have soothing music on and I almost always fell asleep. This one time though - I had a flight to catch the next day and she was busy so I had a guy. This huge, black guy and I stupidly told him I was used to deep tissue massage and he did not have to take it easy.
I could not rest my back on the 20 hr flight. At all. every inch of it HURT!!!! Now I don't trust guys to do a massage tbh even though it was not his fault.
I had to tell her once yesterday to lighten the pressure, my lower back couldn't take it. I think she wanted me to say it earlier cause she could tell it hurt. But I knew my shoulders needed some of the pain. I can tell when it's "bad pain" vs. the "needed pain".If it's hurting all through a long flight... that was not a good pain!
I know what you mean. I think it would have been okay if I had rested the next day - but sitting on those stupid plane chairs did not help. Plus with deep tissue you can feel your muscles sliding against each other and hurting (or that is what it feels like) and with more pressure on them due to sitting for so long - yeah - I was so cranky when I finally landed.
anyone a writer here who can help me? I have a piece for class I need to submit, and it has to be 500 w words or less. I am at 584 words. I have a few ideas on how to make it shorter, but I don't want to resort to them if possible. So I could use some help! :) Thanks!! :)
Hi Zeenat I don't write but I work with students who need to reduce word limits. Send me an email if you don't get a better offer!!
@Zeenat - I can edit it for you :) I am kinda confident in my editing skills. Since editing tends to involve slashing, i should be able to help you get back under the word limit too. You can always send it to Anna after I've worked on it. Two opinions are better than one.
Oh sorry I missed this post. Thanks for the offer! I actually already got someone to look at it and posted it.
Aww, I really appreciate it the offer though. I'll think of you guys next time. ;) If you guys want to read it I can still send it to you!
