I hope Boaky and White are okay - I'd rather they miss the Saints and be 100% against the Swans.
Boak and White have been withdrawn from the Saints game. Honestly I'm sort of relieved.But Gussy, Polec and our other runners are gonna have to step it up a notch.
Any netball fans here? The Swifts are hosting the minor semi-final on Sunday -- can't wait!
First game in my actual seat, lotsa noisy people around me which suits me just fine - don't have to be embarassed about my yelling.Agreed, really nervous about next week, think the Swans will really test us. Was really happy with the way the boys went today though, didn't really notice any lack of run with the abscence of Boak, White and Gussy - heart was in my mouth when Polec came up short, but hopefully we're back up to full strength for the SCG.
Well Tippett was hurt tonight and Buddy did a head-high bump so it might be easier than we're expecting. Sort of hope Swans are full strength though, it'll be a great test for the Port boys.
Buddy probably should've gotten a week, but oh well. The government gave me $98.75 out of nowhere from tax I didn't owe LAST year, so I immediately put it on Port to win. What else do you do with free money, save it? Pfft.
Papa needs a new guernsey.
Agree it was a great game from two hard committed teams. Either side could have won.

Meh, to lose by just 4 points to Sydney at the SCG, with so many terrible umpiring calls + no Polec and virtually no Hartlett is okay. We'll get them next time. Got to drop one eventually.
Also apparently that was the biggest SCG crowd since 1997? They were so quiet!!I didn't realise how loud Adelaide Oval was until I watched that.
Excited to see Tommy Logan in his first game for 2014. God I love him.

Great win by Port today!
Sydney didn't play we'll when Richmond did but at least we got the points.
And a great Saturday afternoon match at the MCG seeing my Hawks beat Collingwood.
Great to see the Dons get over the Crows.

I'm so sad :c really thought we had that. 18 behinds is insane, though, need to work on playing in the slippery conditions.still, 11 win 4 losses compared to five wins all season in 2012 - I'm not complaining too hard.

Yeah it was pretty awesome. The crowd roaring in that last quarter every time we got the ball was amazing, too.A lot of players looked flat out there last night, I really hope they're not getting tired. Then again I'd rather we have a slump in form now than during finals.

Considering its so tight I dont think we'll get a home final (Not a qualifying one, at least). If we lose to Richmond we might not even make top 4. Need a turn around. Its not like there was a lack of chances on the weekend, though.

EDIT: I'm amazed the Swans have the money left to buy off umpires after buying up Kurt and Buddy! Would've been interested to see what would have happened if Port had gone down by less than a goal, what with Buddy's obvious shove in the back and goal being the decider in that case.
Was proud of the boys, actually showed up and played for the first time in a few weeks - showed some spark. Now just need to obliterate the Suns next weekend.

Got money on him getting the Brownlow. 30+ disposals every game and usually a couple of goals too. What a gun.Huge game next weekend! Loving all the hate from other teams' fans on social media - it's how you know they're scared
Ive been trying to tell my diehard crows supporter friend that Gray is a good chance for a Brownlow placing. He's finally starting to believe me :)
@Michael where you sitting? I just grabbed seats right at the back of the Southern Stand to be safe.I can't believe all this rubbish with the guernseys. First they tell us we have to wear our AWAY top at our HOME FINAL because Richmond won't pull their finger out and design a decent clash strip, and then they tell us we can wear our heritage guernsey instead - the same heritage guernsey they said we COULDN'T wear TWO ROUNDS AGO on the 100th anniversary of the Port v. Carlton Champions of Australia match in 1914.
I hate the AFL so much.
Considering that the Eagles five weeks ago had to wear their away top at home because of Richmond's guernsey, it's not like it's a problem that's gone away either. Ugh.
Agree very unfair on Port. Richmond coming in at 8th should have been made to change if there was a clash.
Probably get there about 1:30~. Taking a non-footy mate who I know wouldn't be interested in the march, as much as I'd love to go :(

Hubby and I are International Rugby fans and as I am of Welsh decent I am a follower of the team as well as the Aussies. My proudest item of clothing is my Welsh jersey :)A few years back in 2012 Australia played Wales in Brisbane and Hubby bought us tickets and we flew down the week before we were due to fly to Europe. Poured with rain that night but the Suncorp Stadium was full! There I was in my red jersey in the middle of the Aussie stand in the pouring rain, freezing cold as was June, and had a ball cheering for the Welsh and hurling abuse at the Aussies who were telling me the error of my ways. I even told one man off for using the 'F' word at me - told him my children didn't use language like that in front of me so I certainly wasn't going to let a stranger do it. He apologised!
I then proceeded to demonstrate how to hurl abuse without using swear words. He he he - was a perfect night!
One thing the Welsh and the Aussies agreed on though - the ref was hopeless

Good for you for telling him off Sally. Maybe if more of us did that we would her less language? We can but hope!
