Because I'm a GR author, I tend to step carefully in friending readers in case they think I'm spamming them. But cross my heart I'm anti-spamming. I will not be sending you invites to buy my books, or to events other than those like my last 'Cleaning Out of The Chook House Event'--which I have to say, was a great success, and no, it had nothing to do with books...

Hahaa!! 'Cleaning Out of The Chook House Event'- sounds interesting!! Great news about 'anti-spamming'...none of us likes that, and we all can get on very well without it. I love to be friends with authors, I've had some amazing experiences since joining GR, and I'm 'only' a reader. But just recently I've met 3 authors at events, and it's thrilled me completely, and none of it would have happened without GR!

Yes, although the hard-core spammers are easy to detect, probably not so easy to detach.

None of it is necessary. If a book is good enough people will read it. That's my motto. Otherwise we are acting like used-car sales men or real estate agents, which is very unappealing (unless you are a used-car sales man or real estate agent).

Yes my chook house event was fun, and it was my way of pointing out the above. Although I have to say none of my friends on GR are spammers either.

We have all but the pig, but they are coming. My husband wants us to get a dairy cow but I've said it's only happening if he gets up to milk it.

I'm the animal woman, he's the plant man. I get blamed for the damage to his crops by the wild ducks, because I am a magnet for wildlife (or so he tells me). Our domestic ducks (about sixty last erratic count) are too fat too fly. Our chooks breed constantly, we're about to sell a few. I've given up counting. Sometimes I think that I am a slave to my poultry...

Oh no, we have to save up a few thousand dollars and when we tell them to ship it, it could take anywhere from 9-16 weeks to arrive in Melbourne I believe. Sadly all of my books are still waiting for me in storage. *sigh* I only have about 12 books on my wardrobe right now
