In somewhat happier news, I have almost completed my Personal Project- y'know, that big stressful 4,000 word report that only decides weather or not we pass the MYP?
yeah, well Last night (or in the very early hours of this morning) I finished my first draft. Its 3,891 words, which is perfect length. Now I am just editing it, and will hand it into my mentor to edit tomorrow. Feeling kinda relieved :)
Michael :( I hope everything gets sorted for you
hopefully the Meds help and you get some answers tomorrow

Melanie, we're not allowed a cover picture. The cover just has to be our name, mentor and guiding question. Boring.
:O Blasphemy! Cover pictures are the only good thing about assignments!
I hope all gets sorted Michael! I feel for you...must suck not knowing whats going on
Oh Michael, how very frustrating:( You must be getting fed up with it all. At least you've got medication, and hopefully the dentist can help you out sooner rather than later. Good luck with it all, thinking of you:)

One year, we promoted Mothers Day at work by all wearing our PJ's in the apparel department..I had bright yellow flannelette's with hot pink animals on them, and yellow fluffy duck slippers to match:) Hahaha!!
No Carmel, no photos!!! Not allowed by me >.<
Today on our way through Hay, we found out where the Girls Institution was, that used to hold young female prisoners, transferred from Parramatta Girls Prison back in the 1960's. I had read The Inconvenient Child by Sharyn Killens, which is the true story of her life, and I was horrified about the story of the Hay prison. I didn't know it existed until I read the book. We went there, and went inside, looking at the cells, and where they were kept, and worked. It was so incredibly inhumane. I took some photos as well, which I will post later. It was very interesting, but horrifying as well.

Wow the prison sounded pretty nasty Brenda! Interesting Aussie history which I think we're all grateful we never personally experienced!"
Haha!! No, definitely no jammie pics..lol
It's awful to imagine the era back then, and the horror some people went through...I bet there would have been a lot who didn't survive!!

Good luck Jess with all your assignments. It's a horrible time isn't it, but the results are well worth it!

Thank you all or your sympathies...i have a fathers day present and my mums and brothers birthday presents to buy so ipod will have t wait till next sigh...i also need a new computer...this shall be one expensive month

A similar thing happened on my street a while ago. It was 2AM and there was a giant explosion, and apparently someone had put a firework in the neighbors letter box and blown in apart.
Michael wrote: "Lucky bugga Jess i have to wait till the last day before i go. =/"
Why is that? My school had a pupil free day, so we went first day from about 10-5. Me & a few friends left early. Others stayed until the fireworks. A casual 11 hours at the show.

I brought my dad his fathers day present earlier today. the complete Underbelly Season One. I couldn't find it anywhere. The very last shop I looked in had it, and it was on sale :)
Discounted from $70 to $50. Normally I wouldn't pay so much, but I have no idea what else he would like, and I wouldn't mind watching it myself :D
Oh Carmel, so sorry to hear about your dreadful night with those rotten vandals!!! They need catching, that's for sure. Hope you manage to sleep better tonight, especially when you had a lovely day with your family:)

however yesterday I went out a got Kermit the Ipod (he is green ) and Sonny my new laptop (I,Robot)

The number of bookshops in Britain has halved in the past six years and nearly 600 towns have none at all.
Heavy discounting by supermarkets, the rise of Internet retailers and the growing popularity of e-readers such as the Kindle have forced nearly 2,000 bookshops to close since 2005.
There were 2,178 high street bookshops left in Britain in July, according to research carried out by Experian, the data company, compared with 4,000 in 2005. A total of 580 towns do not have a single bookshop.
Campaigners said that the loss of bookshops, coupled with threats to close thousands of libraries as part of council cuts, will lead to "book deserts" across large areas of the country.
Tim Godfray, the chief executive of the Booksellers Association, which represents independent bookshops, said: "These are very difficult times for bookselling and high street retailing in general. While the overall picture in terms of the number of independent booksellers in the U.K. is still one of contraction, we continue to do as much as we can to support booksellers, whose presence on the high street makes such an essential contribution to culture in the U.K.."
Small shopkeepers have complained that rising rents and business rates are making it hard to stay in business.
Many independent bookshop owners say that they are on the verge of collapse, and even established chains such Waterstone's are having to close branches. Last week Waterstone's, Britain's biggest bookseller, ended its long-running three-for-two promotion. The Booksellers Association is consulting with its members about what measures can be taken to stem the decline.
Judith Parke, head of development at the National Literacy Trust, said she was concerned by the decline of bookshops and libraries.
"In the U.K. today one person in six struggles with their literacy. As this can negatively affect all areas of an individual's life, from employment to health, any decline in institutions that encourage reading is a potential concern," she said.
Roger Hickman, the owner of the Mole & Haggis Bookshop in Torrington, Devon, said he is "only just" in business and predicted that in five years there will be "very few" independent bookshops left.
A number of high-profile small bookshops are on the verge of closing or have recently shut.
The Travel Bookshop in London's Notting Hill is threatened with closure, while the Derwent Bookshop in Cumbria - a local favourite - has recently shut.
The volume of books being bought is in decline. In 2010 a total of 229.3 million books were sold in Britain, a 1.7 per cent decrease on 2009, according to research company Nielsen Bookscan.
