I have to say that the first half of my twenties were by far the most fun and crazy of my life.

And if you ask me in a week or so I'll have probably got over my bday grumps and say the rest of my twenties were pretty good too. Still got a couple of years to go though...

with you all the way Jess full cream or nothing
I try to buy form the dairy when I can (full full full cream :D)
if it came down to be fat or drink low fat milk...I would be fat!

as for teenage years in about two weeks I shall sadly be leaving mine behind me :(
however I'm pretty sure I can still get away with spending ridiculousness amounts of money on night outs and still make it to work in the morning for a couple more years :D

One of my beautiful little twin grand-daughters took a tumble last night and has fractured her wrist! Poor little mite, the dramas this morning with getting an x-ray (they were advised against getting it done last night, because of waiting for hours in the emergency of the hospital), seeing their doctor this morning (who doesn't plaster anyway) and then having to phone around to get someone who will plaster her wrist, themselves!!! She is getting the plaster on at this moment! Then the family are flying to Q'ld tomorrow for a week of holidays, swimming etc! She's only 20 months old:(

Totally agree Brenda. It must be our age that makes us so smart and wise?

Get to a shop quickly and try one. I swear they're not as good as when I was young (blah blah blah) but they still have a unique taste, you must try one.

The perfect cup of tea always wins. But you can't eat anything chocolate-y with tea (you can with coffee though). However I'm not much of a chocolate person and I dont drink coffee, hence my obsession with tea. In fact, I'm thinking about making another one right now.......

Carmel wrote: Oh Brenda poor little thing!! I understand the frustration with Emergency, we can easily wait 4 hrs or more in Bendigo to be seen, but I suppose that's quite common in Aust. Hope their holiday isn't spoilt too much by the incident & hope she heals quickly!

Isla has the plaster on now, but when she woke after getting home-just before 2, (she fell asleep in the car) she was screaming with pain! They had to move her wrist around to set it properly, and the stirring up really had her in pain. She was throwing herself backward, trying to get away from it, poor little mite! Hopefully it won't be painful for too long....

Yes, she had panadol at 2pm so will be able to have some before bed at 6. They'll probably have to give her more through the night I'd say.

★ Jess | 3071 comments Heck yes. Hope its nice on Friday. Last day of school; dismissal at lunch time. Me and three friends are going to a cafe after school for lunch, then coming back to my house. Maybe a swim in the pool? Last year we did the same, when it was like 40 degrees. We went swimming in our uniforms :)

message 3975: by ★ Jess (new)

★ Jess | 3071 comments oh well. Last year we had a water fight as well. It was so fun because we didnt expect it. One of my friends just filled a bucket of water and poured it on my head, so I sprayed the hose at him, and we were all in formal uniform, so that was fun. Just do that again I guess :)

PS..has your work experience with Mum finished?

message 3977: by ★ Jess (new)

★ Jess | 3071 comments Yeah, tomorrow will be my second Monday back at school. It was pretty cool. The greatest part was a hearing I went to where there was full on shouting. Usually hearings go on for like 10 minutes tops, since its just sorting out details and requests before it goes to trial. The one I went to went on for 40 minutes. Full of shouting and stuff.
Then they went into another room for another hour of more shouting. It was really serious, but more entertaining then any other stuff I did that week.

It was an amazing tribute! I looked her up on Wikipedia, and she was born in Penola, SA, and also spent some time at La Trobe Uni in Bendigo. She was certainly a wonderful woman, and taken far too soon:(

A wonderful tribute. Sara Douglass would have been a hard working writer to have written all of those books. A wonderful legacy to leave behind. Too young to die.
