Is it only Tasmanians who call them 100s and 1000s??"
They're hundreds and thousands to me;)

Oh heavens, I would hightail it back indoors - I love Australia, but you have some pretty scary animals over there.

There was a person in my province who had a snake come out of his toilet ... I checked before I sat for a good long time after that haha

Yeah I'll take the spiders any day Ashleigh :/

Definitely! My son that is a terrible eater demolished some at his last kids party, I'm fussy though, fresh bread is a must ;)
since joining this group I have learned a lot about Australia :D

All good I hope Melissa? ;) we have learned to live in harmony with our creatures ;)
absolutely good stuff - however, I could've done without the budgie smugglers lol.

Poor you :( (even though I don;t eat it I used to make it for kids parties as it is both compulsory (ie it didn't count as a party in their group of friends unless you have fairy bread) and very easy to make

I must of missed that one. Probably a good thing."
It should be easy to miss Michael but sadly it never is (⊙_◎) ٩(̾●̮̮̃̾•̃̾)۶

We call them freckles at my place. I've always asked my children if they want "freckle bread" 100's and 1000's takes too long to say :)

Is it only Tasmanians who call them 100s and 1000s??"
I grew up in Sydney and the scientific difference is the round ones are 100s and 1000s and the long ones are sprinkles
Freckles to me are those chocolate circles with hundreds and thousands on top. We had them in Englandbut I think they are in Aussie too.

Yes, I think that's where we got the name from. I think it was I was just too lazy to keep saying 100's & 1000's that and my boys weren't real keen on eating fairy bread, that's for girls :)

Congrats, Marianne. That is awesome.

Thanks for sharing..."
I somehow missed Melissa's original post...
What a crack-up. Some classic one-liners there. :)

And me.

Not as scary as a Canadian grizzly bear! :-P

I've always called them that.

They were hundreds and thousands when I was a kid and I have never even been to Tassie. They shall remain that to me.

My problem is a fussy husband! Did porcupine balls last and they were yummy, though next time I'll add more soup towards the end :)"
Did you get the supplies for this dish at the vets? Lots of angry male porcupines out there now!

I am really rolling on the floor laughing at that, Rita:D

Oh no, we do. And we did back in the 1960s when I ate them. I thought 'fairy bread' was an imported name.

Hahahahahahahahahaha... :D

Didn't your Mum teach you anything? Just pull up your dress and hold the hem in your teeth, now pull down your undies then pull them up again, smooth dress down over your undies. Now, bend over and look between your knees, can you touch the hem of your dress at the back? Okay, all done then.
At least, that's the way my 3yr old g-niece does it!

You can't hide from me; I sniffed you out ;)

I've been to Canada Melissa. You have maple syrup to sugar up your treats wherever possible! I have fond memories of walnut and maple icecream. Delicious!
