There was a person in my province who had a snake come out of his toilet ... I checked before I sat for a good long time after that haha

Poor you :( (even though I don;t eat it I used to make it for kids parties as it is both compulsory (ie it didn't count as a party in their group of friends unless you have fairy bread) and very easy to make

We call them freckles at my place. I've always asked my children if they want "freckle bread" 100's and 1000's takes too long to say :)

I grew up in Sydney and the scientific difference is the round ones are 100s and 1000s and the long ones are sprinkles

Freckles to me are those chocolate circles with hundreds and thousands on top. We had them in Englandbut I think they are in Aussie too.

Yes, I think that's where we got the name from. I think it was I was just too lazy to keep saying 100's & 1000's that and my boys weren't real keen on eating fairy bread, that's for girls :)

They were hundreds and thousands when I was a kid and I have never even been to Tassie. They shall remain that to me.

We do not have Fairy Bread in Canada - but we make do with our other sugar coma inducing treats lol

Oh no, we do. And we did back in the 1960s when I ate them. I thought 'fairy bread' was an imported name.

Didn't your Mum teach you anything? Just pull up your dress and hold the hem in your teeth, now pull down your undies then pull them up again, smooth dress down over your undies. Now, bend over and look between your knees, can you touch the hem of your dress at the back? Okay, all done then.

At least, that's the way my 3yr old g-niece does it!

I've been to Canada Melissa. You have maple syrup to sugar up your treats wherever possible! I have fond memories of walnut and maple icecream. Delicious!
