I just received an email from Book Depository, full of apologies for the 'less than perfect' state of my book. They have re-ordered another copy for me, and will dispatch it asap. I don't have to return the damaged one either. *Happy now*

Adele (mooturtil) | 169 comments I'm going to sydney for a week during easter (so thats 22nd april to 1st may) Anyway. I'm going to the sydney easter show(so excited i've never been before).
Any must do's or tips for while i'm there?(the show itself and sydney) Local Knowledge similar to melbourne's stay left of the escalators so people can walk up the right(or is that everywhere - i know i get cranky when people don't do it)...you know stuff like that.
We are trying to bus, train and ferry everywhere too(which i think makes it more of an adventure). Anything would be greatly appreciated(first time being a tourist in sydney, i have only been there for business)

You'll have fun Adele...take plenty of water, rain gear, umbrella (it always rains for the Easter Show), and be prepared to wait in queues, meander slowly through the massive crowd, and food will cost you an arm and a leg!!! If you are prepared for all this, the ambience will give you a thrill! It's an experience not to miss!

The rest of Sydney...make sure you go on the monorail across to the shops at Darling Harbour..up above everything! Loads of touristy things to see in that area. Go to the special bookshops in the city area...there are lots!Just relax and enjoy! :)

Neko @Adele- Enjoy Sydney :) It's been YEARS since I've been to sydney so I can't really tell you what to do there.

-

Today, I was given a card which was thanking me for all my help in one of the prep classes I helped with. There was childrens drawings in it and a note from the teachers (they co-op a class) It was really rather cute and after the cruddiest day in my life, that card just changed my outlook on the day.

That is so cute Laura!! Love it when kids do that...on your fridge that one will go:) It's great that it managed to change the end result on your day, so much better to smile. :)

message 2030: by Neko (new)

Neko @Brenda- Hehehe..Yeah! It brought a smile to my face for sure. I plopped it down on the dinner table and my father was like 'Well, this trumps my bad news for sure. It's great to see!' :)

The teachers note mentioned they wished i could be kept on longer. So, positive note all round :D

Wow! Melanie!! Good for you, if that's what you want. You can do so much with your life..travel if that's what you'd love to do...see the world..whatever your heart desires. You can always go back to uni later as a mature aged student, if you want to do that as well. The world is your oyster...

Enjoy your hair do as well...:)

message 2034: by Neko (new)

Neko @Brenda- I knooooow...The spiders..omg...I COULD never go near a tree like that..I go girly and freak out at one spider..But if I saw a tree like that...I might just melt for real..lol

They said on Nine at 7.30 that it had been upgraded to 7.4 Laura. Tsunami alert downgraded cos the epicentre was inland...poor things.
