Thanks for all the hard work you've done to build the site into the success it is, Mandy. It would be time consuming. You've done a great job and I wish you plenty of reading time in your retirement.
Is there any hope of this rain stopping?

I want my teacups to turn up!! >:(
::packing bags to move to Tassie::

Haha..Until the weather changes, right? :P Has it stopped raining though?

Well..After all these problems with PSN...I had to cancel my most reccent order with BookTopia..And have about $80 in credit. I honestly forgot I spent that much..lol Just sucks cause I'm now without that last Oishinbo book >:( However, I am very happy with how quickly their customer service responded.
It has been 'persisting' down, on and off all day. :(
Bad luck about your cancelled order Laura.
Bad luck about your cancelled order Laura.
i have not had problems with the psn...credit card wasn't on there (was an old out of date one) and no password is the same so I'm lucky.
did you have to change your cc? I thought the hack didnt get the security code for the cc's so they cant actually use them they just know where you live...which is fun

@Melanie- Nice on having no password is the same. I don't believe my PSN password is the same as any password I usually have..I just don't remember what it was or what my secret question was. I've changed CC just to be careful since I've ran into experience with this sort of thing beforehand.
But since they got your secret answer and your password, DOB and if any of those are tied to the Bank Account it could cause problems.
I've had someone tell me answer to my secret question over the phone before..They spelled it out...I was horrified they'd even do it. I'd still change things just to be doublely sure but maybe that is just me.

One poor girl it's her 19th birthday and her Mum isn't allowing her to go out with friends as her plans were originally. She has to sit at home instead watching the wedding. That feels a little mean i thought.
But no I'm not excited about the wedding..Infact it's a good time to read as there won't be anything on the tube :D!
You looking forward to it Carmel?

Looks like that weather pattern has slowed down a bit, so you'll probably get the rain on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday.

It was loads of fun- there were four of us ( plus friend's mum, brother and three of his friends), it was wonderful.
Stayed up to 3am every night, night walks on the beach, rock climbing, bike rides, swimming, no rules except 'set dinner times'
It was awesome

Thansk for arranging that Jan, gives me nice we..."
I do my best....now if it were really up to me, I would have it rain every night, followed by sunshine every day. But all I can do is tell you what's coming from the west, because the weather seems to travel across the country in a south-easterly direction.

Just made one of the yummest steak sammiches! The steak was SOOO tender and I've got one steak left over for another sammich. Rusty (cat) he got some of the meat and the fat..he loved me after that..haha.
My sister is watching the wedding and I'm playing a game XD

i was working for the wedding no one would leave cause they were all glued to our tv screens lol i just wanted to see the dress and thats it took her so long to get out of the car!...i came home mum was crying because it was so beautiful lol wasnt that great

Kinda funny I turned my head and it copied my moves.

Indeed I do :)
haha the rosella moved to the washing line as I ended up moving out of eyes view. But when it was perched on the washingline it could easily see me..hahaha.
I've got a photo on my phone just to show what i mean of it sitting on the crabby tree :)

I watched all of it too. I though Pippa Middleton ( the bridesmaid) dres was absolutely STUNNING.

"There are two kinds of royal wedding men; The ones who didn't watch it, and the ones fantasizing about Pippa"

Here is the Green Rosella I was talking about and the crabby treee :)

This was taken through my window as I didn't wanna disturb.

My favorite image of the Royal Wedding :)
That one was a heavily photoshopped one, here's the real pic (I think):

Grace Van Cutsem is the name of the miserable flower girl and I so wanna cuddle her, she looks so miserably cute!!!

Totally agree with you, Jan. History happening before our eyes, and for a change happy history.
Loved the dress. Didn't like Diana's, too frothy. And a dressmaker friend of mine said at the time it didn't even fit her properly, was too big.
I seem to be alone in this, but I personally don't believe Charles was the monster to Diana he's been made out to be. I don't believe he's the twit he's made out to be either. The man has done/does a lot of good we never hear about. Everyone has their faults and failings. Di did too, but suddenly when she died she became a saint. No denying she was a good mum, though.
Heard during the pre-wedding coverage interesting story. In 1979 when Earl Mountbatten was killed by the IRA, Prince Philip deliberately made Charles cry (he was 31 then) the night before the funeral. So he wouldn't cry at the actual event. Charles had been very close to the Earl (Philip's maternal uncle) who'd obviously been kinder to him than his own father was.
Lovely wedding anyway, the Brits are brilliant at pomp and pageantry. And critics of the Royal Family should remember they're worth millions to the U.K. in tourist revenue alone. They're always criticised for costing the country money, but I read once that the yearly royal allowances are equal to the value of the Valium prescriptions - not all medications, just Valium - issued by the National Health. And Charles gives back half his income from the Duchy of Cornwall to the Exchequer, always has.
Who'd be a royal nowadays? Hordes of paparazzi following you around, public functions, endless criticism, little privacy. During the wedding coverage a commentator mentioned the Queen (and I remember when she was lovely Princess Elizabeth) nowadays performs only one or two public duties per day. The woman is 85! And the Duke in nearly 90. No retirement, in this job you die with your boots on. But abdication is a no-no since Edward VIII.
I'm not even a firm monarchist, and it's inevitable that someday Oz will become a republic. But for the time being the system works well. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
End of lecture!
Monya (aka Mary)

Here is ..."
Laura, lovely photo! But my aged eyes are failing or the green Rosella - it should have a red head - is perfectly camouflaged in the tree.
We get them here on the Darling Downs in Queensland, but much more often it's the Rainbow Lorikeets that eat our apples. A short time after the fruit flies start on them...
Monya (aka Mary)

@Monya- Hahaha..Nah my phone camera is just not that good. Even to me it looks very camouflaged in there. Had it been all red like you mention it woulda stuck out easily. I don't know how easily it is to see Reds here. Greens are usually spotted down near the beach, 10 min walk from home :) All downhill...So walk home is uphill..No thanks! Cars are great..lol
I love Rainbow Lorikeets colours..They stand out so much!

Hey, Laura, are we talking about the same bird? You say greens and reds as different rosellas, whereas when I say rosella I mean a green bird with a red head.
I'm up too late. Night night!

totally agree. Only saw a few minutes of the ceremony but thought the bridesmaid was stunning.

The flower girl with hands over her ears...that shot was taken as the planes flew overhead...children have sensitive hearing ...probably her ears were hurting.

There is two different Rosellas..Green and Red :) The one you're thinking of is the Eastern Rosella :)
Green one that I am talking about is specific to Tasmania..Here is some additional info-
The Green Rosella or Tasmanian Rosella (Platycercus caledonicus) is endemic to Tasmania and Bass Strait islands. At 37 cm (14.5 in) long it is the largest species of the Rosella genus. The male and female are generally similar in plumage, being predominantly black, green, and yellow in colour with a red band above the beak and blue cheeks; however, some females have red-orange colouration on the front of their necks. Its diet is composed of seeds, fruit, berries and flowers, as well as insects and insect larvae.

@Jan- Thank you :) He's hidden very well..lol
Was soooo! bloody glad the footy came on, retreatd to the headphones & T.V. & enjoyed both games & a number of beers, sooo! over the damn wedding thing!
i know im still a little shocked...but i doubt it will mean the end of the war

Hardly the end which is the sad thing. I hate to think now who will try and take his place :(
Will be an interesting next couple of weeks in the US.

So I apologize.
(I also 'made a loosing') :P

Oh I thought it was intentional. I thought it was very witty and was going to use it from now on.

Oooh..And it's raining here..eww :x
I would come and cook for you Laura, but I'm stuck at work and I am sick of rain.

@Jan- So little rain :o Would you like some of ours? I'm sure i could bottle it up and send a cloud or 12 over when it's starting to drizzle here.

To celebrate this agreement, my historical romance e-novel ‘Ice King’, set between 1804 and 1807, at the end of the trans Atlantic slave trade, has been discounted to $0.99 from Smashwords and Amazon. Geoff
