That is funny! (I'm a physio, so my perspective on medical stuff is automatically ghoulish and warped...)

Let's hope the ablation's soon, though.

Suz | 4436 comments I'm in the process of trying to maintain some kind of organisation/order to my sad IKEA cube system that's my only book case. Too hard! I almost took photos of the 'behind' piles. That's just stoopid!!!! But I'm also procrastinating and typing here so, we shall see ;)

Tui Allen (tuibird) | 143 comments I'd also like to warn you never to trust photographs taken by me. :)

It is so lovely to read through a thread where people are being nice to one another. I've been recently involved in one of the Amazon threads where one or two trolls mess it up for all the others. They think they are being "interestingly provocative" but it's really just annoyingly argumentative and sometimes quite vicious. This thread has a lovely feel, just from my quick scan.

And we don't believe in being horrible to one another - we are predominantly Aussie and we Aussies are a friendly bunch;)

I am really excited to be heading into Sydney tomorrow to meet up with some of our very regular Aussie Readers - Marianne, Julie and Suzanne! What fun we'll have;) A little sad that Carolyn and Phrynne couldn't make it (work erk!) but hopefully another time!

Not so thrilled about the 2.5hour train trip both ways, but at least I'll get LOTS of reading done;)

Looking forward to it Brenda, hope your train is warm? Bring a mug of hot chocolate or coffee. And yes, all that uninterrupted reading time! Sorry you couldn't have stayed in Sydney and made an event of it...we could have rescheduled.
Any rate we will have to do it again in the future to catch up with the others ;)

message 20336: by Tui (new)

Tui Allen (tuibird) | 143 comments Just after posting here, my long absent 31 yr old much-loved son phoned and we met up on the coast near here at Raglan. We stood on the beach together looking out towards Australia across the Tasman sea and watched a spectacular thunderstorm develop and approach. He insisted on flying his kiteboard in the face of the approaching storm. I was petrified but he survived. That's why I suddenly disappeared again from the thread. I had vamoosed to Raglan to be with him.

And yes, Julie is right - the photo is manipulated - that's why I warned you never to trust an image from me. It was really shot on a still day. I put fake wind into the trees and half-swept the rainbow away, using photoshop warp tools. It was fun to do.

Chris Miles (cruisingcricketer) | 44 comments For those of you in Adelaide, there is a book sale at the Norwood Town Hall from 9am till 5pm each day of the long weekend. Reputedly there are over 10 000 books, with some as inexpensive as $2.00. Apparently a wide range of books available. Saw details in my 'Weekend' email.
Cheers
