I really want to go to the book expo this year. Everyone that went last year seemed to have such a great time. I was very jealous.

I didn't get the last 3 for this thread either Veronica - I'm just going to check to see if there are any more I haven't got!!

Go Veronica, its great! Even if you end up going on your own there is so much to see and do :)

That's just too cold Carolyn! Brrrrrrrr!! At least a fine day is forecast.

Yes you're right Phrynne. It is going to be another beautiful sunny day. I'd rather have it cold in the morning and sunny than warmer and rainy :)
Definitely not long to winter now Brenda!
In more ways than one Carolyn (reading!!) - but yes, it's lovely and sunny here now too:) We had fog early on...
My goodness things are quiet in here tonight!! I hope everyone is wrapped up in their reading and too busy to chat;) I'm loving the book I'm reading at the moment.. Mistake Creek by Rachel Amphlett - it's a doozy!
I was watching ABC - Griff Rhys Jones was travelling through Namibia. He even went to Swakopmund which is where I was just a few weeks ago. So nice to see:)

Have discovered that getting hooked on reading challenges leads to lots of figuring out what I am going to read and not enough actual reading!

That one is my W for the winter challenge Michael :)

That would be great to see the same country you just travelled through Phrynne :)

That's a shame Rita..

I've been watching that too. Namibia's an interesting country. I had no idea of the German connection and that maxing town (Swakopmund) on the coast. I hope you weren't travelling by train :)

Funny you should say that but I did travel by train. He has not yet mentioned Rovos Rail which does tourist type trains on some African train lines. We travelled on one from Swakopmund to Pretoria in South Africa but it was maybe too luxurious for Griff! Having said that there is a quick flash of that train in his trailer so maybe it will be shown in the last episode.

Definitely too luxurious for Griff by the sound of it - although maybe as you say he's keeping the best for last. That must have been quite a long trip but I imagine you would have seen a lot of the country. I love train travel - nothing to do but look out the window (and read!).

It was nine days but we travelled mostly at night. In the days the train stopped and we visited places like Etosha Game Reserve and the diamond mine at Kimberley. I took loads of books with me thinking I would be able to read a lot and there was hardly any time!
