She also said she couldn't quite believe people in Australia were reading her books!

Morning, Marianne! Have fun! I will also be on the treadmill this morning and listening to a book, but later, once the gym opens!

If you can make it I recommend seeing it in the movies. It works so very well on the big screen.

Cheap Tuesday!

I bought a block the other day to taste, then took it to work with me & handed it around the office. The majority reaction (and also mine) was "Its not awful, its just 'not quite right' if that makes sense :)

Lol, yes fully charged thanks Carolyn! ;) though I have just expended a fair bit of energy in the kitchen knocking up another Beef and Coriander Green Curry for the slow cooker from my new recipe book :P YuMmmm.
Think I might need to sit down for awhile now with a nice cuppa and my book...maybe later on a bit of chocolate..sans the Vegemite ;)

message 20026: by Brenda, Aussie Authors Queen (new)

Brenda | 80178 comments Mod
I just bought the new Vegemite chocolate to try. Hubby's verdict - it's not horrible but no more thanks. My verdict - I can't taste caramel (which shocked hubby) and CAN taste the vegemite but the taste goes very quickly...I did dissolve the square in my mouth like Carolyn suggested. So I'm quite happy with it, but won't be devastated not to have it:)

message 20027: by Faye (new)

Faye (lastchapter) | 409 comments We tried that vegemite chocolate but sorry just can't get into it - and I am a big chocolate fan.
On another note very pleased with my op shop run this morning got heaps of books and I also popped into my local library to pick up a book I had reserved - could not believe my luck they had a trolley of books for sale 50 cents each - I had to relieve them of some of their books!

message 20028: by Carolyn (new)

Carolyn | 9868 comments I think the rest of my vegemite chocolate will be going into work for people to try. Like me, my younger son quite liked it but wouldn't eat a whole bar of it and the verdict from hubby and older son was 'disgusting'.

Sorry Juliette. I thought you realised that you can just ask people to be friends. As Brenda says usually you do this to people who share your interests and taste in books.
