Sounds a good idea.

Boil before your drink :)
Good on your Mum Sally;)
Just discovered our garage has flooded:( Done what I can (which isn't much until the rain stops) but I guess lots will be thrown away once it's all done! Good excuse for a clean up I think :/

Dreadful news. You certainly are copping it up that way.

Oh well, nothing we can do about it! Mother Nature at her finest;)

It's brutal Sharon! Hope your Mum is OK - stay safe:)

Excellent news Marianne! I suppose he'll expect a bit of pampering at home now?

Not good! I'd say lots of people will have lots of different stories to tell after this. I hope the damage doesn't continue, though I suspect it will:(

Yes, and they'll probably be glad to see the back of him!
I feel bad - I keep seeing you guys talking about the horrid weather over there. Meanwhile over here it was lovely and sunny - maybe somehow I can will the nice weather your way so we can share :)

It sounds bad over there - stay safe everyone <3

Stay safe Brenda and Leonie and all those in the Hunter and on the Central Coast.

Woo hoo - great news

So my sister drove over and collected her. Sister has water coming through a wall so the towels are down. But they have power at the moment.

Stay safe..."
We seem to be pretty good in the Upper Hunter, so far, Carolyn - it sounds like Newcastle has had a really dreadful time, though, and Dungog is just awful.

The second storm front has hit and it is wild here again. Gosh I hope it blows itself out very soon. I'm over it, and I know everyone else is too!

I love short summers, Melissa! I lived in Zurich for a year with pretty much the same weather, but with 4 months of snow in between and only 2-3 months of hot weather. Oh gosh, I LOVED it!

Kelly wrote: "Yep next storm front has hit here. Wind has picked up again and we have thunder and lightning really close together. I looked on the BOM and it's yellow and red on central coast, with another front..."
Stay safe Kelly - hope it passes us all quickly!

Very glad to hear it Marianne.

Lower Hunter seems to have copped a real hiding, I'm feeling for everyone who's being affected by this storm.
@Marianne Great news about your husband, very happy to hear that:)
