Thanks, Brenda! I can hardly believe it :)
I just found out quite by accident that my favourite author Kate Griffin writes under not one but two pen names. As Claire North she wrote The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August which I have been meaning to read for ages and under the name Catherine Webb she has written enough books to keep me happy for ages. Happy days:)

Yes, I read and loved The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August and immediately went looking for more by her under the pen names, have just read The Extraordinary and Unusual Adventures of Horatio Lyle and have The Obsidian Dagger: Being the Further Extraordinary Adventures of Horatio Lyle in my TBR, both from the local library.

If you like urban fantasy try her as Kate Griffin as well. Her Midnight Mayor series is just fantastic. (I love the blue electric angels.)

It is very liberating! It's completely altered my self-image as well as my outlook on life. Did you learn as a more mature person?

Sharon, I'd never tried to learn. And the first time I sat behind the wheel almost four months ago, I felt more than daunted. But confidence comes when you see and acknowledge that you *can* do it. :)

Thanks, Ashleigh. :) It's a wonderful feeling of empowerment and achievement. :)

Thank you :)

No Margaret I learnt when I was in my late teens but I remember it was BIG for me, it gave me so much confidence which I was so lacking in at the time...it really made me believe in myself, and I still love driving. I would feel totally adrift without it.
It's no small feat that you have done this now, so kudos to you Margaret, you should be very proud :)

Congratulations Margaret! You should be very proud of yourself too. It's a very liberating accomplishment isn't it? I rate it right up there as one of the biggest favours I ever did for myself...and still love driving.
