All I know about Peterson is that he was a conservative -- which would, of course, in my mind, identify him as a reprehensible "kakistocrat" (as opposed, you know, to all the utterly horrible people in government who aren't "kakistocrats" ) -- but then, I tend to think that Karl Marx was a dangerous, right-wing nutjob, and that Michael Moore is a staid moderate, so that sort if makes me... what? Um, probably not a member of the "Tea Party."

I always thought Toblerone and Cadbury were pretty good, but I'm not a connoisseur. I'm sorry to hear about yet another of life's few amenities succumbing to the global economic meltdown. I don't think Darrell Lea could have had much income from export sales, because I'd absolutely never heard of them.

Margaret when I first heard about Darrell Lea I nearly cried - I rarely eat chocolate but I would shout myself a Rocklea Road easter egg every year, it was the only chocolate I really liked.

Ol' Sir Joh gave new meaning to the word 'conservative' and then, of course, after his term finally finished it all came out about how corrupt he and the government of the day had been [as if that was really a surprise - power corrupts remember?]

Still, growing up under his leadership I do remember that QLD always seemed like a safer place than say NSW but that may have only been perception.

Hmm sort of - What Alice forgot is more of a light hearted book about marriages, family and friendships. Alice did have amnesia, due to a bump on the head, but was able to recall memories from the previous day.

Before I go to sleep was more of an intense thriller/mystery.

Yes, I was actually pleasantly surprised to see they now have one in Sydney, and a few in Melbourne. The used to be solely in Adelaide. I'd have to wait until we visited Adelaide to indulge! I still have to anyway, as I've never been to the one in Sydney:)
