Marla | 261 comments Not LOR, haven't seen GOT yet, I know, we're losers. But maybe Interview, but I'm not sure. The previews looked intriguing, but looked like something I'd easily get tired of. But you never know.

I think I'm off vampires for shifters or straight up romance and romantic suspense.

Steph (angel4492) | 32734 comments Nah, they're not everyone's must-watch, I get it. We're liking Interview a lot more than we'd expected, which is a nice surprise.

Well, Miss Marla, I'll be around should ya land on something you wanna chat about - books or TV. I so enjoyed our TWD chatter over the years and think I'll use missing out on our chats as another strike against Gimple. 😆 If/when ya watch any of the spinoffs, lemme know what ya think of them and I will as well.

Same for you, kittykat. 😁

Steph (angel4492) | 32734 comments Well, my hubby and I wrapped up TWD series and while I bitched and bemoaned the loss of the edge-of-your-seat thrills they began with in Season 1, the finale wasn't terrible. Didn't help that we knew who wouldn't die from the start.

Doubt we'll watch Fear, but it sits on our DVR in case we change our minds.

Some TWDU updates for those interested.

kittykat AKA Ms. Tortitude | 376 comments I've now watched season 11 too... too lazy to post thoughts now though...

Marla | 261 comments Hubby is watching Daryl's show, so I've been seeing bits and pieces. But only one scene so far held my interest, so I don't even know what's going on.

I don't understand the appeal of Ride, Norman's motorcycle show. But hubby has been watching that too. Huh.

I watched half of one episode of Neegan & Maggie. They weren't getting along and I was glad, but it got old.

message 659: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32734 comments Glad he's enjoying it. Mine is disgusted by Daryl's fanship. He doesn't understand the appeal - "his greasy hair..." 😆 I like his character okay, mainly how his character evolved throughout the main show. I read it was supposed to be Carol and Daryl's show, but for whatever reason (I didn't look for more info), Carol isn't on it.

We watched Neegan & Maggie's show til the first commercial, then bailed on it.

Daryl's show has been reported as TWD "returning to their best", but I'm doubtful. I think the shine has well and truly worn off for me. Still, we're recording Daryl's to at least check it out at some point.

Marla | 261 comments I just read something that Carol is going to be on Daryl's show.

I'm sure hubby will at least give it a chance. I've been updating my GRs challenges while he watches Daryl's show.

message 663: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32734 comments Huh. We've got it recorded, but still haven't watched any. I'm sure I will at some point, especially since it's a short season.

Did you see the news about Rick & Michonne's series? Guess they gave up on the Rick movies they'd talked about and now have a series planned.

The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live (Feb 2024)
The love story between Rick and Michonne, changed by a world that is constantly changing, will they find themselves in a war against the living or will they discover that they too are The Walking Dead

Marla | 261 comments I think I saw a commercial about Rick & Michonne. I'm still not sure that I see them together. I hated Lori, but I could see them together.

A movie was probably too much, since so many people are tired of TWD franchise.

message 665: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32734 comments Yeah, it's an odd pairing that always felt a bit forced for the show, IMO, too. I could NOT stand Lori. Ugh. I even had a hard time watching her in something else (forget what) after her TWD stint. LOL!

Definitely agree, at least where I'm concerned. Don't know that I would've bothered with a movie. Definitely wouldn't have paid to see it in theatre. Maybe I'll watch the show. Probably. I can't seem to help myself. Though, one episode is all they get sometimes.

message 666: by Marla (new)

Marla | 261 comments Lol, I have missed our TWD discussions!

message 667: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32734 comments 😊 Me too!

message 668: by Marla (new)

Marla | 261 comments Did you watch any of the Rick & Michonne mini-series?

I watched the first episode or two, but hubby watched most of them and said it was okay.

message 669: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32734 comments We haven’t watched that or Darryl’s yet, but have both recorded. I’m sure we’ll eventually check them out.

message 670: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32734 comments Marlaaaaaa! Have you watched TOWL yet? 🙄🤨🤬 Ep5 featured a throat-punch-worthy Rick. Seriously, WTH!? Michonne has more patience than I would've had in that scenario, for sure! I'm glad I watched it. It felt like I was finally putting that series to bed. We still haven't watched more than 1 ep of Maggie's or any of Daryl's, but I saw his was renewed *sigh* I'm really ready to be done with Gimple's globs of BS.

Lemme know when you've watched Rick/Michonne's so we can dish it out 😊

message 671: by Marla (last edited Jun 12, 2024 07:08AM) (new)

Marla | 261 comments Lol, I watched bits of most of the episodes of Rick & Michonne, but couldn't get enough energy to watch even a full episode. I didn't even DVR them. Was it worth it? I think I'm over TWD & Company.

message 672: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32734 comments Marla wrote: "Was it worth it? I think I'm over TWD & Company."

🤔 only in that I feel like I can now say buh-bye to that world. Gimple turned it all to 💩 <— actually, that cute shit-smile is too cute for the mess he made of it all.

message 673: by Marla (new)

Marla | 261 comments Gimple the writer? Lol

message 674: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32734 comments Yep. We saw him several times on Talking Dead and he was sooooo pleased with himself, even after he’d written the show right into the shredder. IMHO 😏

message 675: by Marla (new)

Marla | 261 comments You know that's hardly an inspiring review to convince me to watch the Rick & Michonne show. Lol

message 676: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32734 comments 😆 nah. We saw him on that show years ago and it stuck with me. For a fan, I’d definitely recommend the R&M show for the arc closure, if nothing else.
