Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments ... COMPLETE THE SENTENCE."
It can be related to ANYTHING. If you "hate it" too, laugh along and then post one of yours. :)

message 2: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments Don't ya hate it when ...you spend 15-20 minutes putting together a thread post, you accidentally hit "cancel edit" instead of "edit" and ALL your changes are gone?

Please tell me I'm not the only one that's done this?! LOL!! Aughhhhh! :o

message 3: by Laura Lulu (new)

Laura Lulu (lauralulu) | 1603 comments Don't ya hate it when...you have 85 gazillion things to do but you just want to sit on the computer and veg out on GR?

message 4: by Literary Ames (new)

Literary Ames (amyorames) | 1854 comments Steph, I don't like it when that happens either but...

Don't ya hate it when... you've just taken the time to put a long but perfect review together when suddenly your laptop *gasp* freezes. Noooooooooooooooo!!!!!

message 5: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments YES and YES! :\

Don't ya hate it when ... you try really hard to "eat right" and "lose those extra pesky *cough* lbs, but realize life just isn't as sweet without a daily dose of chocolate?!

message 6: by Aske (last edited Aug 06, 2010 10:39AM) (new)

Aske | 119 comments A daily dose of chocolate if actually good for you, isn't it? I know that I can't do my work without eating either a bit of chocolate, cucumber, or almonds. You know those inspiration foods that keeps your creativity up and running. :)

message 7: by Literary Ames (new)

Literary Ames (amyorames) | 1854 comments Don't ya hate it when... you bump into someone you disliked from high school and find they're doing better than you in almost every aspect of life.

That happened today. I know I shouldn't care and it's kinda petty but it still bugs me. And I'm pretty sure she was rubbing it in my face. I hate people like that, not that I'm bitter or anything. :)

message 8: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments YAY! Chocolate everyday, Aske said so. :)

Poor thing, Ames! That sucks. I'd be pretty bummed about that too actually. Just when you think you've moved on, it pulls you back in (HS drama). Yah? :( If it's any consolation I bet her sense of humor isn't as great as yours!

Don't ya hate it when ... you're a Chatty Cathy and your hubby is a Silent Sam?

Most times it doesn't bother me, but geez ... nothin'? *chirp*chirp*chirp LOL!

message 9: by Literary Ames (new)

Literary Ames (amyorames) | 1854 comments Lol! I have another one.

Don't ya hate it when... you look forward to watchin' somethin' on TV and you're enjoying the beginning when you suddenly wake up to find the credits rolling! Ugh.

Happened to me last night watching The Big Bang Theory. I missed Sheldon :(

message 10: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments LOL! Yes, I do hate that, esp when I don't have a DVR or way to replay it. :)

Don't ya hate it when... your mind just won't stop, but your body is screaming "MUST SLEEP".

That's me, right now! I've got a ton of ideas that I know if I don't get them down now I'll likely have forgotten them by morning. But, my eyes are half-mast just posting this reply. LOL! NITE! :)

message 11: by Aske (new)

Aske | 119 comments YES!! That happens to me a LOT! It's like 4 in the morning and I'm half asleep, yet my mind is reeling like crazy with great ideas or with the latest book I read. Next thing I know it's 9 and time to go to work. :(

message 12: by Literary Ames (new)

Literary Ames (amyorames) | 1854 comments Don't ya hate it when... a book makes you cry. Why do we have to have distressingly unhappy endings that make you sob into your duvet? I know it's a mark of a good book but I really dislike being a soppy wet mess.

message 13: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments Poor Ames, you talkin' about Forbidden?

Don't ya hate it when... a book starts off really good, but then goes to sh*t? Bummer!

message 14: by Literary Ames (new)

Literary Ames (amyorames) | 1854 comments Good starts and crappy endings, huh? That's disappointing. I'd rather it be the other way around, at least then it'd give you hope that the next would be better.

Yup, I was talking about Forbidden. It also led to a very sleepless night last night. I couldn't stop thinking about it. In the end I grabbed my phone and read the last Aisling Grey book and now I'm mainlining caffeine to stay awake. Thank god I'm not working at the moment or I'd be taking the day off . :)

message 15: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments Agreed! Crappy starts, great finish are MUCH better!

Hope a bit of Aisling helped. It's not the norm, but when a book stays with you like that it's got to be pretty intense.

message 16: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments Don't ya hate it when... your scheduled for a long airline flight and all they offer for entertainment is the crappy '70s one-big-screen-for-your-section? :(

I'm so bummed! I want my built-into-the-seat watch-as-many-movies-as-you-want kine! Waaaahhhhh! Well, that just means that my carry-on is going to be filled to the brim with books and iPods! LOL!

message 17: by Literary Ames (new)

Literary Ames (amyorames) | 1854 comments I hate those screens and the little ones in the aisle too. Come on, people! We're in the 21st century here! It's one screen per person as it should be, anything else is just embarrassing for the airline.

message 18: by Steph, Serious series addict (last edited Aug 12, 2010 01:37AM) (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments Seriously, those planes should be retired at this point! LOL! :\ Bummer, maaaajor bummer! That's gonna be 11.5 hours of torture ... for my husband cuz I'll wanna talk. LOL I'm just gonna have to pack a mega bag load of books and charge up every iPod I have before boarding. :)

message 19: by Literary Ames (new)

Literary Ames (amyorames) | 1854 comments This is when hoarding becomes important. All those old things that were previously heavily hinted to you to perhaps sell, give away or swap are now coming in handy. A smug grin usually appears on my face when that happens. :)

message 20: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments Too true! :)

Don't you hate it when ... you thought your noisy neighbors had heard your pleas for peace, but instead they were just on vacation?

LOL! I thought silly me that somehow I'd telepathically convinced my downstairs neighbor to be considerate to those around them, but no, they were just off island apparently. The Okinawan neighbors must think Americans are the noisiest, rudest bunch of people ... how can anyone not be aware of the noise they (and their lovely children) make at all hours?

message 21: by Carson (new)

Carson T (carsont) Don't you hate it when ... You spill cookie crumbs all over something. Namely..your laptop!?

message 22: by Steph, Serious series addict (last edited Aug 18, 2010 05:20PM) (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments Yep! Got one of those compressed air thingies you can spray in there to get'um out? Good luck! Are ya crunchin' as you type? hehe

message 23: by Carson (new)

Carson T (carsont) Yup, it sounds so weird!

message 24: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments LOL!

Don't you hate it when ... everyone has their hands on the latest book release and you've yet to get yours?

message 25: by Literary Ames (new)

Literary Ames (amyorames) | 1854 comments Yes!!! I'm tremendously jealous of those who've read Mockingjay!

message 26: by Laura Lulu (new)

Laura Lulu (lauralulu) | 1603 comments Amy or "Ames" wrote: "Yes!!! I'm tremendously jealous of those who've read Mockingjay!"

What the...??? So not fair!!! ;)

message 27: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments Seriously! WTH! No ARCs should be sent out on books that are anticipated by 1/2 the world! LOL!

message 28: by Aske (last edited Aug 31, 2010 07:28PM) (new)

Aske | 119 comments Don't you hate it when... you suddenly burst out laughing for absolutely no reason at all in a very public place?

message 29: by twinfish2 (last edited Sep 09, 2010 08:48PM) (new)

twinfish2 | 3 comments Don't you hate it when...someone asks you what you are reading,so you tell them. But what they heard is,(And please, feel free to critique my reading choice).
I swear if one more person tells me I shouldn't be reading that stuff, I just may go postal on their ass. Maybe that would cure them of thinking only their choices matter.

message 30: by Aske (new)

Aske | 119 comments What's it to them about what you or anyone else read anyway? I usually just tell them to shove it where the sun don't shine if they don't like what I read.

message 31: by Josie (new)

Josie | 1967 comments Uh huh. People like that really annoy me, the way they look down their nose at you and basically tell you to read a "proper" book. Gah!

Don't you hate it when... you remember reading a book a while ago but can't think of the title OR the author and you can't look it up because AARRRGGGGHHH what do you type in???!!! Yeah... I have that right now. Bad times. :(

message 32: by Josie (new)

Josie | 1967 comments No, scratch that. I just found it!!! Whoop woo! Good times :D

message 33: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments LOL, Glad you found it, Josie!

Don't you hate it when... you have a stack of books calling your name, but just can't get into the groove enough to read them?

But, they sure do look pretty. LOL!

LOL, totally been there!! But GR has helped a lot with that.

Don't you hate it when... you lose a library book, it's due in 2 days and you still need to read it before then?
Thank goodness for renewals, hope I find it soon...

message 35: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments Good luck Vivian, I've sure been there!

message 36: by Vivian (new)

Vivian (_vivian) | 1934 comments Thanks Sandra! Found it, fell in the space between my bed and the wall. I swear I looked there. Sometimes I think the Borrowers take my things.

message 37: by Steph, Serious series addict (last edited Oct 14, 2010 08:27PM) (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments LMAO! I actually blame menehune for my lost stuff. They are always to blame in Hawaii and it stuck with me. :) Glad you found it.

message 38: by Vivian (new)

Vivian (_vivian) | 1934 comments That's a fun fact! I think I know of the menehune from some tv show from back in the day, and I want to say Saved by the Bell, or something cheesy like that, but I don't remember for sure. Yes, I get my knowledge from 90s sitcoms, very sad, hehe.

message 39: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (last edited Oct 15, 2010 01:06AM) (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments Substitute that for 70s & 80s sitcoms and its even sadder. LOL.

edit: Darn spelling

message 40: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments Hey! Those were the BEST! LOL!

message 41: by Josie (new)

Josie | 1967 comments Don't you hate it when the same books have different titles in different countries?
I have been looking for Succubus on Top for AGES, only to find out today that it's called 'Succubus Nights' in the UK :(

message 42: by Literary Ames (new)

Literary Ames (amyorames) | 1854 comments Aw, Josie. I remember mentioning this to someone else and saying that the title was probably too naughty for us uptight and stuffy Brits! LOL! There are a few books that have different title in different countries, it's very annoying.

Don't you hate it when... you know the book store has the book you want but they haven't unpacked it yet so no book for you, you have to wait a day or so. It's so mean. It was Ghost Town -a new release, it was the reason I got up and out. Grrr!

message 43: by Ruby (new)

Ruby Hollyberry | 8 comments You go to the trouble of ordering a book and paying far too much for it and then waltz into a used store or library sale and find it for a buck or two?

Literary Ames (amyorames) | 1854 comments Ruby wrote: "You go to the trouble of ordering a book and paying far too much for it and then waltz into a used store or library sale and find it for a buck or two?"

I HATE it when that happens!

message 45: by Sandra (new)

Sandra DON'T YOU HATE IT WHEN... you're reading a great paranormal romance but have to go to excedingly elaborate lengths to hide the cover when reading in public because of the beefy half nekid man on the front?

message 46: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments Ruby wrote: "You go to the trouble of ordering a book and paying far too much for it and then waltz into a used store or library sale and find it for a buck or two?"

So frustrating!!

LOL! We've been chatting about just that @ "Hey, Not Nice! Don't Judge Me!" . Just let it all hang out, I say. :D

message 47: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments Don't you hate it when... you start hiccuping when brushing your teeth!

message 48: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments Don't you hate it when... your microwave that you've had for 26 years, stops working.

Don't want a new one, they treat you like you're an imbecile. Luckily, the MILs one is stored in our shed and it's exactly the same, bought at the same time. Yay!!!

message 49: by Shannon (new)

Shannon (frencett) | 96 comments Don't you hate it when... your books arrive from Bookdepository - all individually packed, and your husband gives you the 'more bloody books' look.....

message 50: by Shannon (new)

Shannon (frencett) | 96 comments Don't you hate it when... you get a book recommendation from a work friend, who has previously given great recs, but then this rec absolutely sucks. How to let them down easy....and do I even bother with the next two in the series...
