Rebecca (bexsi) I have finished Wild Magic (Immortals, #1) by Tamora Pierce Wild Magic An immensely enjoyable read 4 stars
Cry Wolf (Alpha & Omega, #1) by Patricia Briggs Cry Wolf there are so many character holes you start to wonder if you have just caught the "punchline" and missed the main event 2 stars
The Shack by William P. Young The Shack I quite enjoyed it , but found some of the religious ideas difficult to fathom 3 stars
Beastly by Alex Flinn Beastly This book was recommended to me by a friend for a reading challenge and I am so glad I read it. I found the book which was written in the Beasts point of view to be an enlightening read 4 stars
I have started Catching Fire (The Hunger Games, #2) by Suzanne Collins Catching Fire and Once Bitten, Twice Shy (Jaz Parks, #1) by Jennifer Rardin Once Bitten, Twice Shy

Joanna (joannaoj) | 394 comments ok. so I'm still reading Dreamfever (Fever, #4) by Karen Marie Moning and after that I NEED another adult-paranormal series... so far i'm choosing among Bitten (Women of the Otherworld, #1) by Kelley Armstrong Some Girls Bite (Chicagoland Vampires, #1) by Chloe Neill Pleasure Unbound (Demonica, #1) by Larissa Ione Dark Lover (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #1) by J.R. Ward any more suggestions??

message 2405: by Isamlq (last edited Dec 28, 2010 06:01AM) (new)

Isamlq @ Joanna, I'd skip Pleasure Unbound and go for Dark Lover (that's very adult.) Chicagoland is also a good choice...

message 2406: by Lisa (last edited Dec 28, 2010 06:08AM) (new)

Lisa (lisathisissilly) | 6 comments @Joanna, I definitely recommendBitten out of the ones you have there.

I also love the Sookie Stackhouse series Dead Until Dark
and Laurell K Hamiltons Meredith Gentry
A Kiss of Shadows- although theres a LOT of sex scenes in that one.

I am currently reading Shades of Atlantis by Carol Oates

I'm half way through and I really like it, but I'm hoping to get more of the Fae mythology soon- the author has been teasing me with snippets of information so far and I'm dying to know the secrets!

message 2407: by Carina (last edited Dec 28, 2010 08:00AM) (new)

Carina @Joanna I would recommend you read the Mercedes Thompson series. They're small quick reads loaded with action and a pinch of romance ;) (maybe more than a pinch haha)

And from your picks Im leaning towards BDB series or Chicago Vamps series. But you should consider the Kate Daniels series too. (I havent read it but according to Isa its really good).
Also the Tairen(spelling?) Soul series is supposed to be really good according to Stacia.

Anyways, which ever you decide to start reading let me know how you like it.

PS. I have to say again, the Mercedes Thompson series is REALLY good.(No sex thou just implaid.....well I just finished the 5th book and there was a very small sex scene) but still, they are very good books, just ask Isa. =)

Moon Called (Mercedes Thompson, #1) by Patricia Briggs Blood Bound (Mercedes Thompson, #2) by Patricia Briggs Iron Kissed (Mercedes Thompson, #3) by Patricia Briggs Bone Crossed (Mercedes Thompson, #4) by Patricia Briggs Silver Borne (Mercedes Thompson, #5) by Patricia Briggs

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) How sad is it that every single book that I just mentioned in the previous post is adult and I'm posting in a YA group?

I still read more YA than adult though, but most of the YA that I have read we all already know about!

But I don't mind plugging White Cat (Curse Workers, #1) by Holly Black and The Hourglass Door (Hourglass Door Trilogy, #1) by Lisa Mangum again since not everyone has read those yet!

i feel it's for younger kids... my sister's 11 and she asked me to read it and that is why i'm doing it... can't say it's like bad bad, but it's not good either... or maybe just not my style... tries to teach a good lesson though but, then again, for younger kids

message 2445: by Carina (new)
