I loved them! The best books about faeries I've read so far. Though to be honest, I can't say I've read a lot of those. Haha.

U were soo right i love this book! At first i wasnt sure and i even thought about not finising it but i remembered u said i would like them so i kept going and im soooooo glad i did and now im aching to read the whole series!! Isnt it awesome that shes adding 3 more books!!??
i am reading Clockwork Angel (Cassandra Clare) very good, just finished hush hush (Becca Fitzpatrick) that one I would say is worth reading again.
Carina wrote: "Lazuline- i havent heard of that series but it sounds interesting, wats tha name of the first book?"The first book is Pleasure Unbound and it's an amazing start to a thoroughly enjoyable and epic series. ^_^
I will be starting Hunger Games soon. Everybody recommend it and I can't wait to read. It's time for that book to move from my book shelf to my hand. lol
Vicky wrote: "Thanks for the recommendation - Raised by Wolves - I put it on hold at my library!"I liked Raised by Wolves and I really didn't want it to end!

"I started this series after the VA series b/c i love richelle mead's books, & i am not dissappointed. Though i must say nothing is better than The Vampire Academy series. I want to live in that world if i got choose just one. But back to georgie, i love her but i really can't get into Seth i like him but he's just not appealing to me. I am currently reading the 3rd book Succubus Dreams & i am liking it so far but i haven't gotten to the good part yet. It's hard to get into any books the way i did The Hunger Games it was just so full of action i stayed up night after night reading the series.
I am currently reading
I am so into both of these books. I'm struggling making time to read each of them an equal amount of time. They are library books & are due back soon so i pray i read fast enough. It's kind of sad i'm addicted to goodreads & reading my books so i am sitting with the iron king in my lap trying to read & type at the same time it's not working out so well.

Aiyanna wrote: "What is it about?? The one by Laurell K Hamilton?"Anita Blake (Vampire hunter/Zombie raiser and later necromancer) falls in love with bad-ass vampire... in one word, the series is HOT!
And if you like her style, go with her Meredith Gentry series as well.

Nothing matches the VA series, esp. not the Georgina Kincaid books. GK novels are a good read, but I really hate Seth and that makes me hate Georgie sometimes 'cause she loves him. But I love the side plots, the ones with all the demons and Carter, because they're a lot more interesting than Georgina's pathetic love life.
I haven't read The Hunger Games yet, but I've heard many good things about it. I'mma finish some of my already started series first and then try out new series, like The Hunger Games.
My current obsession: Rachel Caine's Morganville Vampires. I started the weekend with
and shall wrap up with
tonight...Any recommendations after this?

Just a heads up though. Some people can't get into series because of the gratuitous sex etc... I, personally, didn't mind. You can skip through those parts because those don't really add anything else to the flow of the stories... the same goes for the Gentry series.
Reading City of Ashes by Cassandra Clare, on page 27 and loving it so far.Im hoping to start reading The Hunger Games series after this cause everyone has great things to say!
Isamlq wrote: "My current obsession: Rachel Caine's Morganville Vampires..."I love Morganville Vamps. Those and Mortal Instruments (which I'm pretty sure you've read, since you commented in the CA thread) are my favorite UF selections in YA.
I'll start with some YA recs first, then do a few adult.
Since you can already see the list of other reads we're discussing on this forum, I'd say that the ones that are the best that we already have up here are Hunger Games, Vampire Academy, and Shiver. Beautiful Creatures isn't bad either. I like House of Night fine, but it's more of a guilty pleasure that I can't quit, and I have a hard time seriously recommending it.
If you have read and liked Hunger Games, this book (sequel will be out next month) has some similarities and is good. This one is dystopian with survival elements.
I already recommended it in another thread, but I loved -really enjoyed!- this book (haven't read the second one yet). This one has a little bit of mystery, romance, and time travel, with a few bad boys thrown in as a bonus.
If you need something light and fluffy to take a break from a Morganville type read, you might want to try a fairy tale remake.
Since Morganville would be considered more UF (urban fantasy) than PNR (paranormal romance), you might want to try some adult UF. Adult UF's are usually more balanced between action and love story, and have less sex than PNR (although it is in there because the reads are adult).
Here's a few I like :
Shifters series - Kick butt heroine, hot love triangle
Fever series - Lots of mystery, you'll want to figure everything out (Fae World).
Also, Night Huntress and Chicagoland Vamps are good.

Aiyanna: Im loving City of Ashes more than City of Bones too!! This one Grabed my attention from the get go.Everyone has only good things to say about Hunger Games im almost scared to start reading cause they're big and if i like them that much i might not be eble to put em down lol =) but i will read them still cause i cant pass up a good book ;D
City of Bones was weak for the first half of book 1. Any time someone says they aren't sure about the series, I urge them to keep going because it gets so much better. The prequel/companion series to Mortal Instruments had a much better first book than City of Bones, which made me happy.
Hunger Games should go next on your list if you have room. Most GR groups these days have active discussions on the trilogy, so it's fun to get involved in the talk.
I decided to give
another try as its the only book I have ever put down and never picked back up after starting to read, and I am glad I did as im enjoying it. I am halfway through
and I think its fantastic.

I think you'll love how the story turns out... when I first read it, I kind of wanted to ... punch... one of the characters. Later it gets better.

Thanks for your recommendations...
I've also read Hunger Games and Vampire Academy: I LOOOVED all of them.
I had a hard time with Shiver and Linger.
I loved that Beautiful Creatures had a male MC. (Wonder what happens next.)
As to House of Night, why do you consider it a guilty pleasure? Isnt it as good as Vampire Academy?
I shall now look into Shifters and Moning, etc... I love me a good love triangle!
