But they're both different stories so others may disagree

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Aw poop. Check your inbox.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) And have you read Georgina Kincaid yet? I don't remember who did the buddy read with us. If not...do eeeet!!!

message 7904: by [deleted user] (new)

I've only read the first one. I got side tracked into reading Kate Daniels. so many books... so little time. LOL

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Yeah, no kidding. I'm a terrible series finisher. I'll get a few books in and get distracted.

message 7906: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) @Stacia (Thanks!!) and you're not excited about NH!? Maybe it's the cover. I like the old model D: but I'm only looking forward to Vlad.

Carina *pokes sleappy head in*
Did someone say Night Huntress?? I'm still excited for One Grave at a Time (Night Huntress, #6) by Jeaniene Frost , but I have to agree, not as excited as before...but I am looking forward to Vlad too ;)

I'm actually very VERY excited for Second Grave on the Left (Charley Davidson, #2) by Darynda Jones (Which comes out TODAY!)

Vixen looks good Stacia, I've been reading good things about it.
I have trouble going back to finish series too. That's why if I like it then I try to read it back to back or else God knows how long before I can go back to it.

I think I'm sort of burned out on adult pnr right now, so the only series I'm really looking forward to is Georgina Kincaid because I'm having that same anticipation that I had with Shadowfever - all of the waiting and wondering about what is going to happen will finally be answered. Carina...the books get better and better, so I hope you get to read them. It's very similar to Fever. Each book is better than the last.

I liked the first Charley Davidson, but didn't love it, so I will probably wait to read it.

Chain Reaction (Perfect Chemistry, #3) by Simone Elkeles is out. :) I hope to get to it soon.

If your burnt out on adult PNR, try
Stray (Shifters, #1) by Rachel Vincent . Its something in between and addictive.

message 7913: by Stacia (the 2010 club) (last edited Aug 16, 2011 01:59PM) (new)

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) That was one of the first UF series I read, actually. I did enjoy that one quite a bit.

The reason I'm burned out is because I have read a lot of uf/pnr. I'm just enjoying other genres right now.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Free audiobook of White Cat (Curse Workers, #1) by Holly Black if you subscribe to the Random House newsletter. I liked this book, but read it in print form, so I don't know much about the audiobook.

message 7915: by brittany (last edited Aug 17, 2011 05:43AM) (new)

brittany (cirilla) I don't think I'd ever listen to an audio book.

message 7916: by CαthεεBooks (new)

CαthεεBooks (catheehales) I am reading Dead Until Dark (Sookie Stackhouse, #1) by Charlaine Harris and it's awesome.

Amy ~Lover of Books~ going to start reading this soon:
Always a Witch (Witch, #2) by Carolyn MacCullough

Jean Valjean (OG 2010) (courfeyrack) Re-reading Shiver (The Wolves of Mercy Falls #1) by Maggie Stiefvater so that I can be refreshed when I start reading Forever (Wolves of Mercy Falls, #3) by Maggie Stiefvater

Also, Amy Alwaqys a Witch was SO freaking GOOD! I was really hoping she'd do a sequel for that one, but I'm not entirely sure it's gonna happen. :(

message 7919: by Courtney (new)

Courtney K (cklueh) The Eternal Kiss 13 Vampire Tales of Blood and Desire by Trisha Telep . I like Holly Black's story the best so far.

I am just happy the author wrote this sequel because when I read Once a witch, I was looking to see if there was a sequel planned afterwards.

message 7921: by Debra Jo (new)

Debra Jo Reads (debrajo) just finished Raising the Dead (Past Midnight, #1.5) by Mara Purnhagen and getting ready to start A Great and Terrible Beauty (Gemma Doyle, #1) by Libba Bray

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I'm still reading Demon King but for some reason ended up in bed last night and couldn't sleep. So I decided to lay there read in the dark, and because of this I got stuck with my color ereader (which has none of the books on it that I wanted to actually read). I got stuck picking one of my b&n freebies and ended up getting halfway into Wings (Wings, #1) by Aprilynne Pike , which I hadn't really ever planned on reading. It's not horrible...maybe a little juvenile and simple so far, but still entertaining. I'm surprised.

WINGS!!!!!!

message 7928: by Stacia (the 2010 club) (last edited Aug 17, 2011 09:22PM) (new)

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Haha Brit. I'm almost done and I'm liking it, but I don't know if I'll go more than 3 stars. It's reading somewhere between 3 and 4.

Although, I appreciate that it's been light and fun. I've had a lot of heavier books to read lately is seems. This was a nice break.

Oh, and I do like Tamani. I was getting sick of cocky guys being everywhere, but the last few guys I've liked have been all average or the underdog, so I'm okay to like another cocky guy again. :)

I'm mad at you for not finishing drink, slay, love. I liked the unicorn guy!

message 7929: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) oh good. Do you like David? I hope not. To me hes on Shay level. I can't stand that the annoying, clingy, possesive jerk >.< Plus Tamani and Laurels chemistry in illusions is amazing. if she ends up with David..>///////////////////<

I will finish it! I've been planning to i keep getting distracted. it's on the computer and I get epicly distracted when reading on the computer.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) David doesn't really register with me one way or the other right now. He's just sort of there.

message 7931: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) That's how I felt in Wings. Then Spells came along and..argh.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I will say that I like that the book seems to be short. I have no idea why I keep ending up with really long books. Demon King is massively epic in size!

message 7933: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) The rest of the series isn't as short as wings. illuisons was 450 pages. Lol yeah it is huge. and i think the next two are bigger.

Rogier (rorocapri) | 3 comments me, readin Blood Heavy (Blood Heavy, #1) by SLJ Shortt
and finished The Marked Son (Keepers of Life #1) by Shea Berkley

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) But you're liking illusions?

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Oh nm. You finished it. I just looked.

message 7937: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Yeah, Illusions was great. Only because I'm such a Tamani fangirl though xD;

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Oooh Marked Son. That one looks good too.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) You? A fangirl of anything? I never would have guessed.

message 7940: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) Stacia *steals Leea's coffee wrote: "You? A fangirl of anything? I never would have guessed."

I'm a fangirl of lots of things! Just not a rabid one.

Ohwait you were being sarcastic.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I'm a closet rabid fangirl of a lot of things. Every once in a while I'll slip and be all ...

Fortunately, this does not happen much. I'm much too jaded these days.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Brittany wrote: "Yeah, Illusions was great. Only because I'm such a Tamani fangirl though xD;"

Is this because Tamani is not far off from Taemin?

message 7943: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) omg, LOL.

Actually I'm a closet one to sometimes. But theres rabid and then theres RABIDDDDDD.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I'll never forget the girl who argued with me that I could not like a boy in a book because I was married and that only the single girls should be allowed to.

I was like...huh. So this is how it works. If you're single, it must somehow mean that the "book guy" will be more likely to fall for you. That's scary.

message 7945: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) LOLOL. Ohjeez. I hate people like that. Wth was she on.

Sounds like a major delusional fangirl. It's scary that theres so many out there.

message 7946: by Isamlq (new)

-Didn't see this- I'm kind of over Taemin now. I've liked Tamani for nearly 3 years anyway.

Btw, don't know if I'll be finishing Drink, Slay, Love by Sarah Beth Durst at this point. My new laptops fan died -________-
