What are you reading now?
Carina wrote: "I want to listen to an Audiobook but my library doesnt have a big selection. Any suggestions?"I loved
because the narrator sounded like the main character (in my head). My favorite audiobooks were the Harry Potter series b/c the narrator does all the different character's voices. They are amazing!
I'm reading the Ramona series by Beverly Cleary still. They are so funny. I started
, which is really depressing so I have to read it in small sections. I'm also reading
for a challenge. I just finished
, which just made me want to watch Season 3 of True Blood. I just got Netflix back, so I'm curious to see if my reading amount will go down. So far, I just let my son have control so I can read my books in peace, LOL.
Carina wrote: "Hold Me Closer Necromancer was really good. Sequel? ...."There will be a sequel next year according to Wendy F. I think she got the info off the author's site.
this book gives me hope that not all current books are copies of each other. It's historical, and feels like an urban fantasy/ PNR. (I don't know how to classify it but its SOOOO GOOD... and Im not even done yet! Hope you guys read it!) :)@Carina, I got Hart's Broken because of you :)
@Carina and @Isamiq thank you for your reply. I will have to investigate further into the book. I am just trying to get through The Hunger Games.
Jojo-Jo Anna wrote: "@Carina and @Isamiq thank you for your reply. I will have to investigate further into the book. I am just trying to get through The Hunger Games."trying to get through?? are you not liking it??
@Debra I am two chapters in and I am just not sure it is for me. I am trying to take some of the things like "wild dog stew" with a grain knowing they are that hungry however dystopia isn't a genre I love.
Isamlq wrote: "

(I don't know how to classify..."Weird, I just entered a contest to win this one. I thought the book was new and I see that it's been out for a while. It looks interesting.
I'm about a few chapters in. I plan on doing a heavy reading session later today. My son went down for a nap extra early today so I'm using the time to try to get some emails and other things taken care of first.Oh...and I read that "brothers" book last night (the one were talking about) and got about halfway in. It's dark and weird, but I think I'm going to like it if it turns out okay. Right now I'm pissed at this guy's dad and sisters for leaving him to rot in that hellhole all of those years.
@StaciaI only read 1 chapter of Feed last night, and then I read short story but it was pure smutt (it was really good actually).
I'll check the message you sent me last night. I'm glad you're liking it. Let me know how it turns out.
Argh...speaking of short stories, there's something I want to tell you but this is the wrong group for it. I'm going to be posting something in the very adult book topic in a minute because it made me laugh so hard when I was reading it. When you get the chance, go look for it.

Good to hear.... I could kick myself for putting it off so long. I had it forever collecting dust and finally picked it up. I couldn't wait and dove into Catching Fire immediately. I read the first chapter of Mockingjay and that's about it. I think I just needed a little series break. I am gonna read a few other things for now and then get back to it. Keep me posted on how you are enjoying ok??
Finally reading
!!I didn't LOVE the first two books but I'm willing to give the next books a chance. So far, there's too many information that gives me the impression that it should be a philosophy book.
It's heavy and a bit confusing. Not in the way that Luce is confused, though. Just...erm, counfusing. :)
BTW, you guys are driving me nuts with The Iron Fey comments. @_@ I feel like I want to read them again! And again and again! <3
Am reading Jennifer Armintrout's Possession book 2 in her Bloodties series. Also working my way through Must Love Hellhound anthology.Pamela ...i too love the Iron Fey books am waiting for my copy of the Iron Queen to arrive that I have ordered from the book depository.
S€NA wrote: "Amy I wonder, how is that book?"It is interesting so far. There is werewolves, vampires, fae, shapeshifters in this book. You don't know what type of supernatural the main character Kylie is. I'm halfway done with this book and we still don't know about Kylie. Not sure if they will mention who she is before the end of this book or not.
reading both
and
(I'm super stoked about the latter but super broke as well... maxed out my limit for the the month of July!)

You're welcome.
Slowly making my way throu
I want to have a serious reading sesion tonight and see if I can make some real progress.
I've been trying to read
. I just can't get into it. Has anyone read it and would recommend it? It is for a challenge, so I may have to hunt for a different book. I'm starting

and
Both
and
were pretty good reads, (more so with the latter.)
I just started watching Spartacus on Netflix and the Girl in the Arena goes right along with that (although I'm picturing the nauseating scenes as I read). Jojo- A challenge is a Reading Challenge. We have a monthly one is this group, but I also belong to another reading challenge group. They choose categories for you to try to find a book for--like find a book that starts with the letter J, find a book whose author is from Virginia, etc. It gets my butt in gear to read more books, so I try to do one each month.
Finished
a few days ago & am now switching back & forth between
&
... Which are both good so far. I expected Pretties to be awful from the beginning, but so far I'm interested. I fully expect it to take a turn for the worst. Soon.
Finished
earlier today, It was an okay read for the most part.I will start reading this tomorrow as my next read:
