Courtney K (cklueh) I only have one Paranormal book to read this month:
A Matter of Magic (Mairelon, #1-2) by Patricia C. Wrede . I started reading it, and didn't get pulled in so I had to read the next book in the Ranger's Apprentice Series and the Ramona series, which I just discovered. Love it!
The Siege of Macindaw (Ranger's Apprentice #6) by John Fanagan The Ramona Collection, Vol. 1 Ramona the Brave / Ramona the Pest / Beezus and Ramona / Ramona Quimby, Age 8 (#1-3,8) by Beverly Cleary

message 7369: by Debra Jo (new)

Debra Jo Reads (debrajo) I have been trying to read Mockingjay (The Hunger Games, #3) by Suzanne Collins and just can't. Not sure why, maybe I just need a little break from the series.

Amy ~Lover of Books~ Isamlq wrote: "I'm done with Lockdown (Escape From Furnace, #1) by Alexander Gordon Smith and Hourglass by Myra McEntire... (I need to write up those reviews!) Reading Mercy (Mercy, #1) by Rebecca Lim now..."

I want to read Hourglass and Mercy.

message 7371: by Carina (new)

Carina Lots of people reading the Iron Fey series. =)

Debra, sometimes it helps to take a breather.

message 7372: by Pamela (new)

Pamela (waterspout) Yeah, The Hunger Games series is a bit too much to take in all at once. I've also experiened that but I managed.

message 7373: by Carina (new)

Carina I can usually handle reading back to back books of the same series if I really like them. Actually, now that I think about it, thats what I usually do. But it can be draining sometimes.

@Amy,

for the first half of Hourglass I caught myself rolling my eyes (she's all his lips, his clothes, his muscles...) then I got in the mood for it.. I guess I was expecting it to be bad, but when I let go of some of my preconceptions the story got better. it was still silly at times but at least the last half got a little more exciting. )

@Brit, Mercy is one of the "better" angel books I've read (not done yet though)... but Im putting it on hold for Dust & Decay by Jonathan Maberry becuase I LOVED ROT and RUIN :)

message 7376: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) @Isa Oh well thats good then. I was just iffy about it because I heard it was quite bad.

It's been a while since I read those, but yup there's romance in it (even a love triangle, if I'm not mistaken..) :)

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Still working on Hold Me Closer, Necromancer by Lish McBride since I haven't read much the past couple of days. I'm really liking it so far though.

Managed to grab Passion (Fallen, #3) by Lauren Kate but I'm not in any hurry to read it to be honest...

Catherine (cattymccat) | 754 comments So, I've been taking my time (I'm moving & kind of have a new guy... sorta? i dunno...) with Bite Club (The Morganville Vampires, #10) by Rachel Caine . But I picked these up this week: Passion (Fallen, #3) by Lauren Kate , Everlasting (The Immortals, #6) by Alyson Noel , Assholes Finish First by Tucker Max , Girlbomb A Halfway Homeless Memoir by Janice Erlbaum , & Whip It by Shauna Cross . And I'm too antsy to start reading them to really enjoy Bite Club. lol

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Oh haha we were just talking about Tucker Max not too long ago.

Is that the same Whip It that the movie is based on? I liked that movie.

message 7387: by Isamlq (last edited Jun 19, 2011 09:13AM) (new)

Isamlq I just finished done with Dust & Decay by Jonathan Maberry (4.5 stars... but I'm biased because as I have discovered, I LOVE my zombies!) Mercy (Mercy, #1) by Rebecca Lim (3 but could have been 3.5, it made me feel a little of what I felt for Unearthly which was the BEST angel book I read late last year :))

I might read Fury (Fury, #1) by Elizabeth Miles or maybe Passion (Fallen, #3) by Lauren Kate later... but for now I sleep :)
reading Wavelength by A.J. Betts :)

I didn't know you guys were talking about him. I saw it on book swap on here, I got a $27 for $4 something. And yes... Same Whip It!

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) He's very crude and kind of an ass, lmao. Some people really like him though, so don't listen to me!

Mirna Reading Comfort Food by Kitty Thomas ....

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Ooooooohhhh good one Mirna! Be prepared to have some serious messed up thoughts going through your head though.

message 7394: by Mirna (new)

Mirna I think im already there... lol

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Did Carina recommend that one to you?

message 7396: by Mirna (new)

 Mirna Yeap..

Jean Valjean (OG 2010) (courfeyrack) I've been completely OBSESSED with indie books lately, so I just finished Anathema (Cloud Prophet Trilogy, #1) by Megg Jensen yesterday, and I'm about to start on Bone Dressing by Michelle I. Brooks or Released (Agents of Evil, #1) by Megan Duncan .
Released looks really interesting. It's a YA novel that takes place during a zombie apocalypse and from the looks of things, the main character is a total gun-slinging BAMF.

I'm stoked.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I'm going to sound like you now Meghann, but check your inbox girl.

Jean Valjean (OG 2010) (courfeyrack) *Facepalm* I suck at this.Either way, replied. =]
