Isamlq @Stacia, Brit and Jess: ROFL! you guys are too much... I love that when I pop back in here after 7 hours you all are discussing NH, Fever, Bones and Vlane... (all topics that I love) too bad I missed out... I love stalking your convos.

Good Oil by Laura Buzo has officially made me a fan of Aussie YA...
Now, I'm reading more of the same with Babe in Boyland by Jody Gehrman and Two-Way Street by Lauren Barnholdt

message 5857: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca (bexsi) I have finished Glimmerglass (Faeriewalker, #1) by Jenna Black Bloody Tower The Diary of Tilly Middleton, London 1553-1559 (My Story) by Valerie Wilding City of Glass (The Mortal Instruments, #3) by Cassandra Clare Beautiful Creatures (Caster Chronicles, #1) by Kami Garcia The Forest of Hands and Teeth (The Forest of Hands and Teeth, #1) by Carrie Ryan and Bitten By Cupid (includes Argeneau, #12.5 & Offspring, #2.5) by Lynsay Sands only the first (argeneau) story by lynsay sands and I have started Outlander (Outlander, #1) by Diana Gabaldon

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I go to bed and come back almost 12 hours later and see you all kept up for a while!

Lmao, I didn't mean to make you all go back and delete posts. I just start having guilt when the topics go too steamy in this particular group because I know we have some pre-teens in here. It's the mom in me I think. Yet, I still contribute and then feel guilty after the fact.

I can't help it. When people start talking about Bones and V'lane my brain goes all haywire. There's too much hotness to contain myself.

It also doesn't help when the rest of my groups have no hold barred conversations and then I forget to tone it down over here.

Too bad Carina wasn't around. She always misses out on the conversations she would want to be a part of.

The solution in getting me to shut up will probably be to start going to bed earlier. 2 a.m. conversations are making me a zombie the next day!

@ Isa,

It is too bad you missed out. I like talking to you too!

I am going to have to try that book. It looks good.

Carina @Isa, Stacia, Britnee, Mirna, Jessica, Megan....

Peek a Boo, here I am!! lol

This morning when I woke up I checked this thread from my phone, so I had a chance to read the whole conversation Stacia, Britnee and Jessica had....before it was deleted. *wiggles eyebrows* I do wish I had been around to chat with you guys but oh well.

Since today was my day off I went on a shopping spree....well more like a shopping RAMPAGE! lol I know I'll regret spending so much money tomorrow, but tonight I feel sooooooooo good! =D BTW Thanks for rating me out Sis!

I havent finished with Lover Revealed cause I havent picked it up since last night but I'm 75% done and hoping to read a little more tonight. Tomorrow is a looooong work day so I have to hit the pillows early tonight...urgh!

@Brit, woops! Who likes Ash then... I really thought it was you. :)
@Carina, shopping rampage! I might go on one of my own soon.. I have been scouring the net for good YA real reads... (there seems to be an absence of decent YA PNR right now..) On my radar: stuff by Cath Crowley, some stuff by Jaclyn Moriarty and Marsden too.

message 5873: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) @Isa Hehe its kay (: Ooooh I'm in a YA real reads mood atm too!

Carina @Brit Right!

message 5881: by Stacia (the 2010 club) (last edited Mar 16, 2011 11:10PM) (new)

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Carina I saw what you said in the other group about Butch's book. I'm one of the people that really liked it. I'm not sure why so many people didn't like that one much.

The only book that was sort of a letdown for me was Phury's, but Phury's book has one of my favorite scenes of the whole series so it balances out.

.....

OMG it's a miracle! I finally finished The Knife of Never Letting Go (Chaos Walking, #1) by Patrick Ness

Hmmm...I really hated most of the book though, and I feel so bad for saying it because I know a lot of people who loved it. Although, I did have two friends that read it within the past week or so that only gave it 2 stars, so I'm not completely feeling like the only one who wasn't 100% thrilled either. I will say that the last 100 pages got interesting all of a sudden from out of nowhere and I became invested. I ended up giving it a 3 star because the ending redeemed some of it for me.

The ending was unexpected and I really like how Todd finally became a "man" at the end! I'll definitely read the next book though because I hear the second and third books are much better.

Going to be finishing Storm Born (Dark Swan, #1) by Richelle Mead soon and then will be moving on to Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins

message 5882: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) I'm not reading it then. That book is huge! And the last 100 pages? I wouldn't last the first 50

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Isa loved it, so I could just be short attention span girl or something.

message 5884: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) I have a very short attention span.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Oh and hell has frozen over. I'm about to read a realistic fiction book.

I keep hearing how good it is though, from just about everybody, so I caved. Next thing you know, I'll be reading Julie James books and I will have to start bringing a blow torch to thaw out hell.

message 5886: by Isamlq (last edited Mar 16, 2011 11:15PM) (new)

Isamlq @Stacia, dont feel bad! Im just glad you got to read the first one! :)

@Brit, yup, I love it.... and all the books are looooong. I got pretty invested into the characters by the end of the first one.

message 5887: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) I barely read them either but I'm majorly in the mood for them atm. Mainly because YA PNR is really grating on my nerves.

message 5888: by Isamlq (new)

Isamlq Stacia, I havent read anything by that author yet though I recently got "Something.." (I used to read a lot of Nora Roberts, before she went all paranormal trilogy.) Do tell how that goes.

Brit, I'm with you on that!

message 5889: by brittany (new)

brittany (cirilla) I read alot of Realistic stuff when I was around 13. lol

Yuh! Its all the same old recycled trash imo

I plan on reading the second, just not right away. Maybe next month I'll be up for it. The ending really was good!

As for Julie James, I've heard Practice Makes Perfect by Julie James is a 4 to 5 star read from several people. I also hear that Just the Sexiest Man Alive by Julie James is also pretty good.

Supposedly, most of her books are pretty tame and aren't any more racy than a YA book, so YA people might like them. I haven't read any yet to know, but keep getting pushed to read them, so I will probably cave.

I'm done with BDB book 4 and I really really liked it! Alomost as much as Z, but definetly more that W and R. I guess we're one of the few people that loved this one Stacia, but then again, I liked Butch and Marissa from book 1!

message 5896: by Isamlq (last edited Mar 17, 2011 03:18PM) (new)

Isamlq I just finished Perfect You by Elizabeth Scott (crappy cover, right?) I loved everything about it EXCEPT the characters!

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) That cover is pretty craptastic. But, we've already had the discussion that pretty covers don't always equal pretty books.

message 5898: by Carina (new)

Carina I decided to stop being such a winney little B**ch and stick to my original reading list I had for March, so I bought the Study Trilogy Collection: Poison Study, Magic Study, Fire Study Study Trilogy Collection Poison Study, Magic Study, Fire Study by Maria V. Snyder for my kindle. Plus it comes with Assassin Study Assassin Study (Study, #1.5) by Maria V. Snyder too and it was only 18 bucks!
So now I'm gonna start Poison Study Poison Study (Study, #1) by Maria V. Snyder =D

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Nice. :)

I think this is the first month in a while that I haven't strayed too far from my rough list. There were a few extra smut books I added in because I was in the mood for some good lovin' but other than that, every other book I've read was picked from my original list.

message 5900: by Carina (new)

Carina I am completely in love with the Brothers but its not like they're going anywhere right? I'm sure I'll MAKE time to read the rest of the BDB books, but I've been doing soo good sticking to my lists that I dont want to ruin it. Besides, if I had the Study series in my list its because I want to read the books, so Im just gonna do it!
