message 1: by Rex (new)

Rex This is a storyline that takes place inside an alternate UNISEX Glade, not the Original all boys one.

It will start with all the characters waking up in the glade and eventually breaking out. How long that takes though is up to all the players.

((Sooo...does my character have to wake up in the Glade? I was planning him on already been in there, but I can change it, haha.))

message 3: by Rex (new)

Rex Nah. Knock yourself out. :)

((Kayy.))

Oscar's eyes opened briefly before fluttering back closed, tanned lids covering deep-set green eyes. They inched open again, the morning haze of fog slicked over his vision as he sat up from the cold ground, his blanket a few feet off to the side of him where he must of kept it. The sun wasn't even risen yet, the first peaks of yellow just barely beginning to creep into the sky.

Oscar sighed, using the pads of his fingers to rub dirt out of his eyes. This was going to be another long day, he could just tell.

Patrick wakes up to an new day that was getting old. Very old. To Patrick, it feels like he has already been stuck in this fridgin exuse for a home for weeks when he realizes that it has only infact been only two days. Feeling like a piece of klunk, he heaves himself up into a sitting position.

He yawns and then streches every little inch of his body before finally standing upright.

He mumbles to himself, "I can't wait for today to end."

Patrick knew that soon he who have to go through training to see what job he was best at. He dreaded the thought, but yet still felt a tingling sense of anticipation as well.

Leon was already up and dressed, surveying the scene and getting ready to garden. However the greenbean--Patrick--was with him today. Lets see if the greenie is any good with plants, Leon thought, walking over to the younger boy.

"Oy, greenie," Leon speaks in what he knows is a New York accent. However, he can't remember where or how long he lived in the state, or anything specific about his past. However, in the two years he'd been here, he'd come to accept he wouldn't be remembering for a long time to come.

"You're with me today, in the gardens. Come on," he called, already walking towards the fields.

((Leon is the Keeper of the Gardens. I can't remember what the offical title is. I'll have to look it up.))

Patrick nodded. "Just can't wait to be pickin' daisies," he sarcastically told Leon.

message 10: by Rex (new)

Rex Leon's eyes narrowed at the kid's dismissive reply and turned around with a scowl.

"Greenbean, listen the hell up. Everything in this Glade depends on the plants we grow. Without them the animals would starve and so would we. What we're doing is essential, and don't forget it," Leon snapped before walking towards the field, grabbing a small shovel and some gloves.

"We'll be weeding the upper west side of the cornfield with the other Gardeners. It's easy. Just pull up anything that doesn't look like a cornstalk."

"Got it," Patrick responded."Lets get this done with."

Leon and Oz were at the front of the group and each put a hand out for Cole to grab.

"We'll explain everything we know to you later," Oz said with his calming tone.

Patrick wondered who was in the elevator, but knew he couldn't find out until the greenbean was calmed down. He didn't like gardening, he had found out from his long day. He didn't like the Keeper of the Gardens, Leon, even more.

"Yeah," Leon called, still holding his hand out.

((u should roleplay as oz as well))

Leon and Oz pulled Max out of the Box when they had gotten a firm grasp on his hands.

Leon led the greenie around the group of boys and sat down on a log, gesturing for the greenie and Oscar to sit down.

"Okay, greenie. No questions until I say so. You are in the Glade, a place we know very little about," Leon explained.

"We sleep over there," Leon said, pointing toward the area with the house just starting to tip as we built more floors.

message 20: by Ember (new)

Ember (embersmith) | 201 comments Paizlie had found herself in The Box only a month ago. She was somewhat still a greenie, and she absolutely loathed it. She ventured out to the main area of The Glade, and noticed the newest victim right off the spot. He looked terrified. She almost let out a cruel laugh, and walked forward to meet him.

message 21: by ɐlʎʞ (new)

ɐlʎʞ | 220 comments Bryant opened his eyes. All he saw was darkness. It was completely black. All he remembered was his name. Bryant. He didn't know when he would get out of here. He was shaking and he hugged his knees.

Bridget stood up in the dark area she was in. She could feel the vibration under her feet and knew they were moving. She walked around and felt the walls. Finally she tripped over something and landed on her back.

message 22: by Ember (new)

Ember (embersmith) | 201 comments Paizlie sat on the grass, fondling a wildflower stem gently, waiting to see the newest greenie.

message 23: by ɐlʎʞ (new)

ɐlʎʞ | 220 comments Bryant looked around but of course couldn't see anything. "Hello? Anyone there?" He asked.

"Did I just trip over you? Sorry I couldn't see you. Any clue where we are?" Bridget asked excited to see she wasn't alone.

"Nope no clue." Bryant answered. All of a sudden they came to a grounding halt. Two doors above them started to open and sunlight poured in.

Bridget stood up. "Hello? Anybody up there?"

message 24: by Ember (new)

Ember (embersmith) | 201 comments Paizlie popped up from her sitting position and looked in The Box. "'Ello greenies. Welcome to the Glade."

message 25: by ɐlʎʞ (new)

ɐlʎʞ | 220 comments Bridget saw a girl standing above them with blond hair. "Thank you. Now two questions. What is a greenie? Where and what is the glade?" She reached up and grabbed the edge of the box "Oh and here is a third. Can we have a little help?"

Bryant decided it would be better to let the girl do the talking.

message 26: by Ember (new)

Ember (embersmith) | 201 comments "At the Glade we have a specific set if slang terms. Greenie meaning a newbie. The Glade? You'll figure it out." She offered both of her hands to them, one for each.

message 27: by ɐlʎʞ (new)

ɐlʎʞ | 220 comments Bridget reached up and grabbed the girls hand using it to pull herself out. She looked around and saw that they were in a sort of courtyard thing. There was some sort of shack type thing and a wall around the thing she guessed was the glade.

Bryant did the same.

message 28: by Ember (new)

Ember (embersmith) | 201 comments "I'll get you the tour. Tomorrow maybe?"

message 29: by ɐlʎʞ (new)

ɐlʎʞ | 220 comments "Sure. Can you tell us anything now? Like why we can't remember anything, or what that thing we came up in was." Bridget said.

message 30: by Ember (new)

Ember (embersmith) | 201 comments She frowned. "Sorry kid, it doesn't work like that. What's your name?"

message 31: by ɐlʎʞ (new)

ɐlʎʞ | 220 comments "Bryant." Bryant answered.

"My name is Bridget, and what is yours?" Bridget asked.

message 32: by Ember (new)

Ember (embersmith) | 201 comments "Paizlie. I've been told I look to be fourteen or fifteen. I also consider myself one of the heads." She pronounced her title with a shrug and nodded in their direction.

message 33: by ɐlʎʞ (new)

ɐlʎʞ | 220 comments "Great. Are there any heads that will answer my question? I want to know what is going on." Bridget said.

Bryant just stood there looking around deciding it was probably best not to get in the middle.

message 34: by Ember (new)

Ember (embersmith) | 201 comments "Look, everything will make sense after the tour. But for now, I'm sure you two are hungry. Let's go to the homestead to see if we can bother for some food."
She smiled for the first time since she met them and puts a hand out to lead the way.

message 35: by ɐlʎʞ (new)

ɐlʎʞ | 220 comments Bridget followed Paizlie. She didn't want to wait until tomorrow but she didn't really think there was anything she could do to change Paizlie's mind.

Bryant decided he would just follow Bridget.

message 36: by Ember (new)

Ember (embersmith) | 201 comments Once they got there, Paizlie took a seat in front of the two.
"Now, listen you two. I will tell you this. This place? It's all about bloody survival. We're all a team. We all have to pitch in to help around here. There's different jobs. We'll see what you two can do tomorrow when we start you out. Experiment a little, you know?"

message 37: by ɐlʎʞ (new)

ɐlʎʞ | 220 comments "Okay, and since it's obvious you won't tell us anything at least give us some of that food you promised." Bridget said realizing she was starving.

message 38: by Ember (new)

Ember (embersmith) | 201 comments Paizlie swiftly nodded and disappeared into the kitchen for a moment.
Upon return, she shoved a few sandwiches on the table.

message 39: by ɐlʎʞ (new)

ɐlʎʞ | 220 comments Bridget dug right in and ate two sandwiches. "So where do we sleep?"

Bryant ate a sandwich but didn't really have that much of an appetite. Things were all going to fast for him.

message 40: by Ember (new)

Ember (embersmith) | 201 comments "We sleep in--" Paizlie paused, looking at Bryant curiously. "What's wrong?" She asked the boy.

message 41: by ɐlʎʞ (new)

ɐlʎʞ | 220 comments "I'm just not that hungry, oh and I have no memory other than my first name, I'm stuck in this place with no clue how to get back home, which I don't even know if I have a home because as I already mentioned I have no memory. What could be wrong?" Bryant asked rhetorically.

message 42: by ɐlʎʞ (new)

ɐlʎʞ | 220 comments Bridget gave the Bryant a sideways glance. She had thought he looked like the quiet type.

message 43: by Ember (new)

Ember (embersmith) | 201 comments "Hm."
Paizlie drummed her fingers on the wood of the table. "Bitter. Scared. Common for greenies."

message 44: by ɐlʎʞ (new)

ɐlʎʞ | 220 comments "Stop calling us greenies. And if you hadn't noticed I'm not one bit scared I just want to know what the shuck is going on?" Bridget shouted.

message 45: by Ember (new)

Ember (embersmith) | 201 comments Paizlie laughed. "You've already caught onto the slang? Nice. I'll explain. I promise, I will."

message 46: by ɐlʎʞ (new)

ɐlʎʞ | 220 comments "Okay I don't even know what shuck means but it just sounded right. Now again, Where do we sleep?"

message 47: by Ember (new)

Ember (embersmith) | 201 comments ((GAH! Help. I forgot where they sleep. It's been awhile since I've read the first book again.))

message 48: by ɐlʎʞ (new)

ɐlʎʞ | 220 comments (( Some of them sleep in the house but most sleep outside, ))

message 49: by Ember (new)

Ember (embersmith) | 201 comments ((Thank you much.))

"Well, considering the fact that you two are newbies, you'll sleep outside." Paizlie answered, careful not to say 'Greenies' again.

message 50: by ɐlʎʞ (new)

ɐlʎʞ | 220 comments "I decided I like greenies better than newbies. Do you have anything like blankets or sleeping bags to give us?" Bridget asked.
