Thanks RachelI love ghosts and they are killers to find good ones,I`ll check it out now before I forget.
The Hunger Games series is pretty good. The Vampire Academy series (I know vampires are getting to be played out but this series is really good). And His Dark Martial Series is great (aka The Golden Compass).
I would have to dayLords of the Underworld By Gena Showalter
Dark Hunters By Sherrilyn Kenyon
Shiver By Maggie Stiefvater
Merry Gentry series By Laurel K Hamilton
I've gotten where I'm afraid to recommend books b/c people have such different tastes. When I get asked for historical romance recommendations, I always recommend Kleypas. She's usually a sure hit.
I have recommended The Shadow of the Wind, Outlander, The Bronze Horseman, and author Lisa Kleypas a lot. I do make sure before I recommend that there will be a good chance that the book will be liked. I don't want to recommend a book to someone who has a potential to hate it.
My favourite book ever out of any genre is:
But other books I would recommend are:
The Black Dagger Brotherhood by J.R. Ward,
The Wallflower Quartet by Lisa Kleypas,
The Belgariad by David Eddings,
Thursday Next series by Jasper Fforde,
The Handmaidens Tale by Margaret Atwood.
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
There are others but I will leave it at that for now!

Is Sugar Queen a sequel to Garden Spells, Suzanne? I have wanted to read GS, but wasn't sure if I would like it.
Did you read book 5 of the Wallflower Series?
SuzanneYou have some books that I haven`t seen on every board so I think I`ll start with your Sugar Queen, does the GS stand for Gena Showalter Alycia.

Garden Spells, I believe it is the book before Sugar Queen or related to Sugar Queen.
@ Kathy Anne and Alycia. Nope, it isn't a series and Garden Spells and Sugar Queen are stand alone reads. You should definately read them, I love them both, but Sugar Queen is my fave. I recently read and reviewed Garden Spells(naturally it got 5*!) if you wanna check it out see if you would like it. I hope you like them as much as I did, let me know what you think : )@ Alycia. I have read Wallflower Christmas, I liked it but I didn't think it was as good as the other Wallflower books, although it was nice seeing them all again! Have you read it?

I have not read the Wallflower Christmas yet.
Well it is worth having a look at if you like the Wallflowers, you get to see all the characters again I am hoping that maybe LK will do something on Lilliand and Daisy's other brothers, but a full length novel instead of a novella.
I have it, I just wanted to read it closer to christmas since it seems Christmas themed. :) Thanks for your input. I would love to see more after the novella.
Suzanne and Alycia,I have been wanting to find some stand alone books for quite awhile now.I like series but I also like the stand alone characters staying on my mind and not being able to get another book to find out about them, sometimes it`s good to remember and wonder about them
And these sound like two good ones to do it with. Thanks for posting about them.

I like stand alones as well, they are a nice break from series. Feel free to recommend any or ask for more.
That's okay. I know what you mean about stand alones, although there are loads of great series, sometimes just finding a great standalone book to read can be difficult.have you read Sunshine Kathy Anne? That is a really good book.
Suzanne, I have recommended The Hunger Games and can't wait for Mockingjay to come out. I am #1 at the library for it.I always recommend J.D. Robb's In Death and Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series.
I have preordered Mockingjay, I can't wait for it to arrive! I have put off reading Catching Fire until it arrives so I can read them all at once!
A few weeks ago I read Hidden Wives and loved it. I won from First Reads: The Blind Contessa's New Machine: A Novel, which was pretty good.
I normally read suspense genres, but I'm branching out more lately.
another one: Angels Fall

Oh, I second, third and fourth C.L. Wilson's Tairen Soul series! They're absolutely amazing, and I can't wait for the last book to come out in November!!!
I've also gotten hooked on Julie Garwood (I've read all but 4 of her books in the last 5 weeks) who writes the greatest heroes and Diana Palmer, who makes your heart clench (if only they would sit down and talk it out, lol) till the very end!!
I would recommend starting both of these authors with:
Julie Garwood:
or
Diana Palmer:
or
And of course, Larissa Ione's Demonica series, starting with
!
Suzanne wrote: "I love Julie Garwood, espeically The Prize, I think they are great."I enjoyed THE PRIZE, too! I think that was my favorite Garwood...
Also I would recommend The
series by Richelle Mead. If you think Rose from the Vampire Academy series can kick ass then wait till you read about Eugiene!
^ I really would like to read My Sister's Keeper sometime, but I did a not-so-smart thing and went out to see the movie with some friends. I don't like the feeling that I already know the storyline (even though I know the ending is dramatically different.)

I got a hold of the galley of this book and it was the best thriller I have read in years. There is an amazing secret world for the black market for organs that I knew nothing about and the protagonist in this novel explains it all, while racing around the globe trying to prevent a murder and trying to make up for his own sins. Incredible book. Mark it "to read" right now. The Organ Broker
