Check out both Fledgling and Parable of the Sower. Great books."
Agreed.
I also love the rest of her work. I haven't read anything by her that I wouldn't be willing to recommend.

Contemplating starting Nightchild but haven't been enthused by the blurb on the back. Odd because i read parts one and two of the trilogy and enjoyed them...
Just wondering if i can leave this trilogy hanging?

I am loving the beginning!

Rivers of London was so refreshing and funny. I really liked it.

I finally finished with Malazan and started my Tolkien read. (but I really want to start Gardens of the Moon again.)

Its not bad. Its just I am in a really boring patch in the middle. I have heard it gets better.

A lot's going to depend on your own taste.

If you haven't at least looked at it, do so. It's worth the time.

I read the trilogy starting in the mid '90s. I don't remember much of the details except for the chair. I remember enjoying it more than most of Tad's fiction.

I read the first book early last year and I still catch myself thinking about Simon's underground scene. I'm going to re-read that book and try to finish the series this year.

Ahhhhh! Thanks! I officially have no interest, lol. Not much into violence and gore...

Must.Not.Stop.Reading.
hahahaha

There's other books I want to read at the same time, but I can't stop reading this one. Review to come.

I am still reading I am reading Parable of the Sower by Octavia E. Butler

I loved that series! I really loved how realistic Butler made everything sound. By the end I felt that the series really stayed with me.
Another that I loved was [book:Lilith's Brood.

Mrs.Joseph -- there are just two in the series, right? I was having trouble finding info on GR.
Lilith's blood looks so good! Thank you.

Started The Return of the King. And then maybe on to The Children of Húrin. Maybe. I think I'm getting burned out on Tolkien.

Started The Historian. I'm only 50 pages in but I'm not terribly impressed so far.
