What Are You Currently Reading?

I'll be starting Wuthering Heights next and I'm still reading The Three Musketeers.

From all I can find, the third book to this series has never been published and may never be. I think the first two are worth reading as they are, but they are not a complete story. It's a cryin shame. These were very good.

I really need to read that."
I hated that book. Hated.
Though I did love Pellinore."
Me, too, Ala. I forced myself to finish it!

That's what a lot of people tell me.

Sharon, you need to read Ender's Shadow if you have not read it. You will love it if you loved Ender's Game. I know most people read Ender's Game then miss Ender's Shadow even though it is the same story, but from a different view point.

Yes, I liked Ender's Shadow as well, though I find I don't re-read it as often as I do Ender's Game.

TOaFK was my first real Arthurian read. And while the first part(the Disney movie part) was just ok, the rest of it was all kinds of retarded and pointless and godawful.
I swear to you, if not for Pellinore, I'd have just given it half a star.
I just love me some Pellinore, what?

Thanks Hugh, added to my TBR.
Someday I'll get to it.
Someday.
Someday I'll get to it.
Someday.

although i actually prefer the separate novels, because several of the books (The Sword in the Stone, The Witch in the Wood, and The Book of Merlyn) were edited down for american audiences, to create the omnibus now known as "The Once and Future King".

I think the first one to admit it caused a wave of relief. I thought I was the only one.

I've had my eye on this one for awhile. I like dry and sardonic, so I might have to actually pick it up at some point.

I've started reading 'The Weight of Blood (The Half-Orcs Book 1) by David Dalglish. Can't say I'm terribly happy with it so far. Hard to get into child-killer POV characters :(

I'm still trying to decide on my next sci-fi and fantasy books, but I'm leaning towards Rainbows End and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. On the other hand, I still need to read On Basilisk Station and am really looking forward to Witches Abroad. Oh, decisions... *sigh*

Since I'm currently doing the Farseer trilogy, which will, apparently, leave me in tears, I think I'll hold off on this until next time I'm in the mood for something dark. :>

No one told me that would leave me in tears. *glares* Why wasn't I told, damn it?!

Um, well, I wasn't told so much as the person who's making me read them said that she cried... which I sort of took as a sort of warning.
I'm skeptical, though, personally.
Tears? I dunno why there'd be...
Well, maybe.
Well, maybe.

Again, I have no will power.
how ya liking Hard Magic, Mike?

You're not alone, Mike...lol I just keep getting books too. That mountain is becoming a planet. LOL

On a related note, I got to visit the NY Public Library yesterday. Oh my god, it's amazing.

Well, maybe."
I'm the crier, and I don't think it's typical. I just really really love the series. I've read the books three times now. The first time through, I don't think I cried. The second time though.. I sobbed. And I'm not normally a crier! And the third time through, even more tears.
But I told no one else they'd cry! I'm just a big baby when it comes to my Fity-poo :)

How did you like 'Native Star'?
@Dawn - I wasn't gonna out ya. ;)

I started Eighth Grade Bites by Heather Brewer this morning. I needed something light and frothy as a break between RA and AQ.

I actually loved Mockingjay, which surprised me because I wasn't a huge fan of the first two books, but the second one ended on such a WTF cliffhanger that I went "awww, why not" and read the third book anyway. Glad I did.
