Mary I agree Nikki Wren was one messed up hybrid but he certainly was gorgeous!

Donna (BLHmistress) (BLHmistress) | 68 comments Hi My name is Donna and read all SK books except Fang and Dev's book . Real life got in the way can't wait to read these two - debating whether to do a reread first

message 155: by Mary (new)

Mary Hi Donna welcome. The Dev book is on my list of books to read. I have such a mammoth list, I can't seem to read quick enough and like you life does seem to get in the way.

Donna (BLHmistress) (BLHmistress) | 68 comments I do too - I really should get off the pc more often to catch up - I have all the latest books from my faves but its been awhile since I read them all debating to do a reread on them all lol

message 157: by Mary (new)

Mary Well Donna I think its great if you can spare the time to do the re-read. I have so many books I want to get through, I just can't seem to keep up. Then I have my friend Sharon(Simi) who is also on this sight and has obsessive compulsive issues with buying books. She is one very quick reader, I am about 6 books behind her, I think I need to take a long holiday to try and catch up. If only! The other thing I have to do is to try and stop her from buying books. I'm working on that one, so far its not working.

Donna (BLHmistress) (BLHmistress) | 68 comments lol wish I did have the spare time too . My son thinks I'm a quick reader but I don't think I am . If I had the time I could read a book in one day but unfortunately I don't. As for obsessive buying I am so guilty of that myself.

I heard that..........

Mary OOPS! You weren't suppose to Simi. How does it go; Simi wants, bookies aki. LOL!

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Hi, I'm Cherale from small town, Ohio. And I have read every last Dark-Hunter book, Were-Hunter, Dream-Hunter/Short story that SK has written. I even have the Dark-Hunter Companion. And I'm actually saving up a little extra money to buy the book that has Zeke's Hell Chaser story in it. Oh and I have read the first book of CON too.

Before Nick went to the dark side as I think of him now. I fell hard for Nick too. He was a male version of myself. A boat load of sarcasm and doing a bunch of stuff for folks that never seemed to quit asking, lol.

To be honest I liked his animal form better than when he was human. He just seemed to fade so far into the background that I didn't really understand why he got a book. But as another user said we all have our favorites. :)

I second both parts of your post. I want Sav to have a book in a major way. Although I have a feeling that might be like 5 books in one as he is waaay more vague than Ash is about things. So likely need that many to get his back story, his present story, and even a few future stories with a possible heroine lol. And yea I re-read the books way too often not just for my favorite parts but to go over a part I may have gotten confused on or missed.

WARD, YASMINE GALENORN, JOCELYNN DRAKE, KRESLEY COLE, JEANIENE FROST, CHARLAINE HARRIS, KERI ARTHUR, LARA ADRIAN, PATRICIA CORNWELL, JOCELYNN DRAKE & IRIS JOHANSEN.

I look forward to many new friends and discussions!!

message 170: by Ryan (new)

Ryan Senkrad | 1 comments Hi Hi! My name is Ryan and I have very recently fallen in love with the dark hunters, courtesy of my mother. I managed to read the first five books, SINS OF THE NIGHT, and DARK SIDE OF THE MOON in the last two months. Which says a lot considering that I am a working full-time student with extra-curricular obligations......

I also want to say that I actually enjoy her dark hunter manga series as well. And I'm hard to please when it comes to visuals.

Anyway, it's a pleasure to meet you all.

message 171: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Welcome to the group Ryan. And glad you are finding the series to your liking as well. :)

Lakeisha (kittyphukzalot) | 2 comments Hello :D my name is Lakiesha, from Barbados i am here because i stalk Kenyon's books *insane i know* ...and the group tittle is GENIUS hahahaha. Since i am a self-appointive minion i joined. The Dark Hunters books are *drool* drop-dead-gorgeous-to-die-for-books *jersey shore fist pumps* (lol i LOVE the shore).

My fav book was Acheron, had me in tears throughout part 1, can you say ANGST!!!...had me all in knots, mom figured i finally had my breaking point...she however should know since my Harry Potter debacle that this THINGS HAPPEN!!!!

I can not wait till Redemption comes out this year, and that is the end of my Kenyon rant ;)

OK, i am a bit obsessive in my reading of: vampires and werewolves or rather any shifters, The sexy bad guy who turns good and alpha-males...one word..HAWTTTTTTT!!!

Hope to chat with you all in the future :D

message 177: by Lissa (last edited Jan 24, 2011 10:48PM) (new)

Lissa (windphyre) | 4 comments My name is Lissa and ever since my sister (then roommate) knocked on my bedroom door and handed me 'Fantasy Lover' I have been hooked on Kenyon's book. Which I quickly proved by knocking on her door 48hr later demanding, "Tell me you have more." That was more than 8yrs ago.

I have met Sherri on several occasions and even got to hang-out with her (& with above mentioned sister) at Dragon-Con before one of her talks in 2007 (I think that was the year-lol). She is amazingly funny and sweet person. And remembers her fans!

So I am happy to be joining this group today! Oh, one more fun-note about me. Like Grace from 'Fantasy Lover', I am also a Sex Therapist. I just graduated with my MS in Mental Health Counseling and started earning my certifications last year. Woot!!!

message 178: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Hi Lissa welcome to the group. And that is amazing that you have been able to meet her and go to DragonCon. I'm still hoping for my chance to do both as well. :) And Woot indeed on the sex therapist front. That will definitely be one interesting job for sure.

I totally want to go back and will one of these days. I also want to go to a DH con.

message 180: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Oh a DHcon would be soooo awesome. :D

Cheryl aka Pashion (ExRockGoddess) | 13 comments Ok No Activity for a while... I am Cheryl Lynn Cecil, and currently reside in Cincinnati, although I am originally from St. Petersburg, FL. ..(Don't ask)
Anyway I love Sherrilyn and anything she writes!!!
Met her in Indianapolis in September and she took time to talk to everyone...real class act and funny as heck! I have read all the DH, League, and Belador, and have just started on the Bad Series. Would Love to go to DragonCon... For those that don't know.. Sherri does a two author bit down in New Orleans every year... So far I have never been able to make it .. Maybe when my grandkids grow up and move out...LOL

message 182: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Welcome to the group Cheryl. Seems like you are an SK fan from way back. Glad to have you here. :) I'd love to meet her myself as well as go to a DragonCon at some point too. And yea slow activitiy at times around here but when it happens can lead to great discussions. :)

Cheryl aka Pashion (ExRockGoddess) | 13 comments Thank you ... I do not know from how far back ... but I started reading her books about eighteen months ago and LOVED them! I love the League books too! I think Born of Night was my first SK book! But I fell in love with Acheron, then Savitar... what can I say I like those really old men who still look HOT for their age! LOL

message 184: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments LOL. Awesomeness. Do you like other paranormal romance books as well? If so I think the ladies over on the book lover's hideaway will love to chat with you as well. I'm a member of that group as well and we talk about the DH books and other Paranormal romances all the time over there. Here is a link to it-http://www.goodreads.com/group/show/4...

And that is quite amazing you read her books so quickly. :)I pretty much read them as they came out. But the surprise for me was that I actually read one of her short stories out of another book and didn't even know she was the same SK that wrote the DH books. Glad it came full circle for me.

Cheryl aka Pashion (ExRockGoddess) | 13 comments I love other paranormal romance ... I will go check it out.
Thanks!

message 186: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Yep they sneak in from time to time lol.

message 187: by Chelsea (new)

Chelsea Hi Ladies! My name is Chelsea and I am currently residing in Houston, TX. I have just discovered the power of paranormal romance novels and I am sunk for sure. I started with the JR Ward BDB series and was in love with the first chapter!

I started the Dark-Hunter series a couple weeks ago and I am currently reading Archeron. Let me just say - stop my beating heart. I love the way she wrote this man, the pain and humanity she writes into his character makes him my favorite out of all of the DH men.

Thank god I have a Nook and my Hubby has no clue how many books I am downloading and devouring weekly. It is so hard to fit school in, my priorities are backward because of this new obsession.

It is nice to know that I am not the only one out there that loves these novels and needs to talk about them.

I really look forward to the chats.

message 188: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Welcome to the group Chelsea. Glad you are enjoying the books and even the paranormal genre. There are indeed some interesting discussions to be had here. So glad you joined the group. Also check out the book lover's hideaway group. We are doing year long read/re-read challenges of both BDB books and the DH books too. Hope to see you around. :)

message 189: by Chelsea (new)

Chelsea Thanks for the heads up and I will defiantly check it out.

Cheryl aka Pashion (ExRockGoddess) | 13 comments Welcome Chelsea! I do not think there is a woman here who has read Acheron and not fallen deeply madly in love with that man! When you meet Tori you are bummed because he is off the market, but happy that he is finally happy! LOL
Glad I am not the only one obsessed!

message 191: by Debra (new)

Debra | 7 comments I'm obsessed to!!! I love Acheron, I cryed so bad while I was reading his book! But I to am glad that he is happy now.

message 192: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Preaching to the choir on that one Debra. I swear I broke down into the most ugly cry of my life reading his story. And equally glad he has found somebody. I may not like certain aspects of her but she has some of my gratitude.

message 193: by Chelsea (new)

Chelsea Thanks for all the warm welcomes. I just finished the Xypher book and really liked it.

Is it just me or do these books need to be longer - I am flying through them!

message 194: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Haha, sometimes I think they do too Chelsea. But after reading the first two BDB books I'm so thankful that SK doesn't make hers as long. I'd never be able to finish them if they were up to 50 chapters. As it sometimes pays to be a bit concise in the story telling and I'm kind of glad SK's publisher or editor makes her cut back on some scenes or extra stuff that doesn't really add anything to the story too much. Makes it all the more fun too to read the deleted scenes I think.

message 195: by Mimi (new)

Mimi Smith | 17 comments Hi, I'm Mimi, from Serbia. The Dark Hunter books were the first PNR I have ever read and they got me hooked. Favorite book is Acheron, mostly cos I'm in love with him, lol.
Other than DH series my faves by SK are The League series, and the Avalon series...

message 196: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Hi there Mimi, welcome. Welcome to the group and glad you are enjoying SK's other's works as well. :)

message 197: by Laura (new)

Laura Leigh (lauraleigh72) | 6 comments Hey! I'm Laura Leigh and I'm a DH fan!!!! I was one of those people who just don't read. Never did, too absorbed in the T.V. culture. Then, on a fluke, I picked up a Kinley MacGregor book from the local thrift store almost two years ago... so the love begins (or obsession as my hubby calls it!) I own all DH books and most all Sherrilyn Kenyon/Kinley MacGregor books. Unfortunately I'm a slow reader with 4 small kids, but this is a passion I only wish I'd found earlier in life. Can't wait for our next DH book!!!!
I'm also about to move to Savannah, GA.... Any fans out there?
Thanks for a great source of info in this group!!!!

message 198: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (last edited Mar 06, 2011 08:58PM) (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Hi Laura,

Welcome to the group and glad you are enjoying the DH world right along with us. I'm sure there are more than enough fans from all over the world reading her books. So I doubt you could ever be lonely and without a few Kenyon Minions around. And I'm a slow reader as well but I like to think of it as savoring the stories all the more. :)

message 199: by Laura (new)

Laura Leigh (lauraleigh72) | 6 comments Thanks Dhfan4life! I like the savoring description!
