You use spoiler and /spoiler like an HTML tag. Click on the "(some html is ok)" link. :D

Oh yay!!! I've been so annoyed that they hadn't worked in spoiler tags before!to insert spoiler:
< spoiler > write in spoiler stuff < /spoiler >
omit spaces between < >

Just be aware that the spoiler will no longer be hidden if it is quoted in a reply.
Ah, yes, that's the downside. It's usually well into the message though in the text the reply function doesn't grab, so hopefully that's not too much of a risk.
Everyone already probably knows this, but I think it's cool. On the author pages, they are showing the series associated with the author below their books. Yay! :)
I saw that, Sandra. I think it looks nice. I've been lurking and reading everyone's thoughts on the change. I'm fine w/whatever, so I haven't posted any comments. I spend more time around the groups, than on my home page(s), so figured I'd leave it up to everyone who does to comment. I'll be interested to see what they end up with when taking all those comments into consideration.Flib, I LOVE that! I hadn't noticed it. It will definitely have me visiting authors' pages more often, for sure! Thanks for sharing that update.
It will be the header on every page not just the home page Miss Steph. And yeah, forgot to mention the 1st 7 of each author's series has been added to the author page under the book list. If you click on them it will take you to the series page and all books will be listed for that series not just the 1st 7.
I don't refresh my main page enough, but today I spotted GoodReads' "Jane Eyre" challenge (read the book & watch the movie). I'm guessing they'll have more to come. Should be fun to see what else they come out with for us.Goodreads' Jane Eyre Challenge - Read the book & Watch the movie
Hehe, I literally just saw that linked in another group and was going to mention it here. I didn't realize challenges were becoming such a big thing!
:) I'd seen mention of GR challenges on their feedback group a while back, but didn't realize they'd done more than the 2011 one. Should be interesting to see what else they come out with.
Jane Eyre is like the one classic I love. Granted, haven't read it in years, but I remember loving it at the time, lol.
*gasp* What happened to the 2011 Reader Challenge where it kept tabs the ratio of books read to 2011 reading goal?
They keep moving stuff around. But, no worries, my dear. You can access it at anytime here: http://www.goodreads.com/challenges/2

Laurie, its on your profile page on the rhs down about midway.
I just saw this, it is a Plug In someone developed to sync between goodreads and Calibre, here is a therad that discusses it. Plug In
Cool. Thanks for sharing, Regina. I only use Calibre as needed, not routinely. So, I probably won't use it, but great knowing it's there in case that changes. :)
Hope it's just me, but did anyone notice when you look at a book, the box with the common shelves is gone?! Did it move?? Am I going crazy?? How am I going to find out what shelves a book is in now?! This is madness.
Ah, mine's broken. It's not there! I looked at about 5 different random books, I think I noticed it first with River Marked?
Oh wait, it popped up when I did a ctrl-f search for it. Hmmm...maybe I am going crazy...ETA
No, I'm not going crazy! Just did
and it's gone again.
Vivian, I just clicked on the book icon and popular shelves was there.Maybe you need to clear your internet cache (Tools) and log off Gr & log back on.
I figured it's something a simple restart would fix. If that doesn't work, I'll clear my cache and try again (gotta get rid of certain incriminating evidence anyways ;) ) As long as it hasn't disappeared, I'm not too worried anymore, thanks :)
Shhh, we're not mentioning the S-word anymore. It conjures up scary images we'd rather not be reminded of, remember?
We can now get lists using big cover pics of the latest releases by genre.Go to explore on the header, genres, romance, then it lists sub genres like paranormal. Urban fantasy is under Fantasy.
Go have fun and a play around.
Ok, what's up w/the search feature? Anyone else notice the newish auto list of books when you search (w/out hitting enter) is now gone? Will it return, do ya know, Oh, Wise Librarian? I didn't realize I'd gotten so used to it.
WTH!?! I searched "One Grave at a Time" and this is what I got back!Instead of finding One Grave at a Time, I got this mishmosh: http://www.goodreads.com/search/searc...
I'll have to remember tomorrow to pop over to GR feedback group and see if they mention any wacky issues w/search. :\ Boo!
Yep, there is a bug in search, I've posted your problem Steph, but of course, it's the weekend so when the programmers get back to work they'll have a look.
This isn't a goodreads goody, but I was on Netgalley today and they have in the SciFi and Fantasy sections books that say READ NOW. Looks like an instant approval to read. There were at least 3 books marked that way, if anyone is interested. I got Frost Moon.
