I am just noticing that you can now easily find and access your Group Topics and Group Comments within each group you belong. The links are located on the right of the group's home page above the moderators:
Ok, this is NOT GR goodness ... this is a GR annoyance (one among
very
many) --- W(ho)TH decided a big bright yellow box around a group's currently reading books was a good idea? Ugh. I do not like. But, no one asked us, so I guess I'll have to learn to live with it. Bleh.
Noticed it yesterday :(There is a thread about it in New Help, if anyone feels inclined to complain (you have to log in to Help, though)

While yellow is a very abrasive color, it does draw attention to what every group is currently reading, which makes it seem more significant if you're looking to join.I keep trying to find a comics group on here, but I was drawn to all the "currently reading" boxes because of the yellow, and I couldn't find an active one. (They were all outdated...LOL)
So, annoying, but getting the job done, I suppose?

You have a lot of faith that it was a deliberate tactical choice! I just think someone was perhaps looking for a color that they haven't perhaps used before 🤣
It hurts my brain LOL. Something a bit less abrasive, like any other color you can think of, would be better 😉🤣
I definitely don't have a problem with them highlighting the group's currently reading section, but a very different/lighter color would be much appreciated. And, side note, I really don't like their "help" any longer; not that I was getting much help the old way. :( *grumble, grumble*

Thank goodness they trashed that idea re the mustard yellow! And totally agree on the new Help section. Who ever heard of logging into help and having a whole new set of usernames & passwords to worry about and as there are only about 3 people helping and staff can be fairly absent, its not much use. I think they want to rely on their help articles, and the goodwill of Tal, Faith & Emily.
While scouring google for ways to find a book on a specific GR shelf, I came across this article and figured I'd share. I was already pretty familiar with everything, but either knew and forgot or never knew about the ability to cross-reference shelves (only your own shelves, sadly). Some Lesser-Known Features of GoodReads, a Great Book-Minding Tool https://knowledgequest.aasl.org/some-...
Then, I ended up searching for help through Reddit boards and found reference to these pages. They might be some y'all would like to check out, but again, sadly, no help when it comes to BSB. 😔
GR's "Most Read This Week in [GENRE]" page: https://www.goodreads.com/genres/most...
GR's "Rate Books You've Read" page can help find books similar to one you've read and offers a quick way to rate books you've read, as well as search for other rated books throughout different genres: https://www.goodreads.com/user/rate_b...
Oh, and, I'm not sure if I've ever shared this here or not, but I keep (and try to maintain) a list of links to different helpful spots around GR, if ya wanna check them out: https://www.goodreads.com/story/show/...
