Thanks Gigi!

That's ok! I just realised too

Sorry, it took so long. I had to do a bit of digging for the paranormal books. I'm a little rusty when it comes to paranormal books. I went through some of your posts to get an idea of what you like. Your intro post helped alot. I hope I picked something you like.
Regency Historicals
Flowers from the Storm by Laura Kinsale
The Bride by Julie Garwood (RITA award winnner)
The Proposition by Judith Ivory (RITA award winner)
Paranormal
Shadow Game by Christine Feehan
Pride Mates by Jennifer Ashley
Seduce Me in Shadow by Shayla Black (I noticed that you started this series and gave the first book 4 stars. So, I thought I'd suggest the next one in the series).
Contemporary
Separate Beds by Lavyrle Spencer (I just discovered her and I really liked the one book I read).
Sugar Daddy by Lisa Kleypas (I've had a lot of people suggest this book. Its supposed to be really good).
Just in case, I was completely off base....
Virgin River by Robin Carr (Another book and series I keep hearing good things about).
Let me know which book you decided to read. Also, if there isnt anything here you like, I'll be more than happy to search again.
Enjoy!
Gigi

I've requested a couple from the library - so I'll see which comes in first.
I've gone with Pride Mates and Seduce Me in Shadow.
The recs look good!
Aren't we like detectives - or matchmakers - when this challenge comes up? I think that's the most fun part of it all.

Wow, you're able to figure out my little weird notes?LOL
Yeap, that is exactly what happened, i noticed when i went to double check. I should have figured it out when you made the re-pairing list, but i can barely recall what i was doing at the time.LOL

Annie - Gigi's recs are great, and if she doesn't mind, I'd like to recommend (just so you have them on your TBR:-p)
Lord of the Fading Lands by CL Wilson: it's one of the best books I've ever read (the first of a 5 book series),and I guess I would call it fantasy romance (I saw you had a lot of fantasy books)...It's amazing:-))
Kiss of Midnight is Lara Adrian's first book in the Breed series, which I also love, and
Beastly and A Kiss in Time by Alex Flinn are fairy tale retellings (which you and I seem to enjoy) of Beauty and the Beast, and Cinderella, respectively:-)

However, now I am starting Cry No More. Stay tuned . . . wow, I'm on a roll this month!

I definitely don't mind. Actually, I'm glad you suggested Kiss of Midnight. I would have, but I've recommended that book to someone else in a past pick it for me challenge.

Really? I tend to look at the shelves and suggest something I think will interest the person. I'm sure I've recommended the same book to more than one person because I thought they'd like it. I know I'd hate to miss out on a great rec because that person had recommended that book to someone else previously.
Can we get official clarification on this?

Recommendations are influenced by the person's GR shelves.

Whoa...sorry, I didn't mean to make anyone panic. I never said it was a rule. I just said "preferable". Thanks YZ for clarifying!

*plays with her toes* Well no....If you want you can pick some recs from my TBR.LOL

I am addicted to this series so I'm biased, but yes it does continually get better. You'll learn more and more about Eve and her past that will soften you toward her and their love for each other just gets deeper and deeper. If you're interested in audio books I would highly recommend reading this series in that format. Susan Erickson has the true talent to bring the story and the characters alive...
...but that's just my opinion ;)

Thanks Penney, that's a great idea to listen to it on audio. I am currently listening to Chelsea Handler read her book Are You There Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea and although I'm not used to audio books, I am enjoying it. I'll give Glory in Death a shot on audio- thanks again!

@Fran : Don't worry, the series does get better... I really enjoyed it starting at book 3 or 4, and the first was the one I liked the least, but it introduces you to the main characters :-)
@ Rhossy: ***shaking finger**** you have to start taking care about getting your recs :-))
From your TBR:
Black Ice by Anne Stuart : It was just recommended to me by Harper, and I really enjoyed it: I very much enjoyed Bastien, even though I had moments where I wanted to smack him :-))
No Regrets by Shannon K. Butcher : I loved this series, especially book 3, but 1 and 2 are very close behing:-) Hot ex-special force soldiers too :-)) Love You to Death by the same author is another fabulous romantic supsense (a little harsher maybe though) that I couldn't put down!
Pleasure Unbound by Larissa Ione: I waited so long before picking this book up, but I couldn't put it down! I loved it! It's definitely worth reading! I'm looking forwards to getting home tomorrow to start on books 2 and 3 :-)
Ready by Lucy Monroe seems like a fun read to me, although it's still on my TBR too (I need to order it, lol), and the first of a trilogy about hot mercenaries..
Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie is one of my fave "chick-lit" books: it's hilarious and light, and I must have read it a half-dozen times:-)
Cutting Loose is another fave by Susan Andersen: contemp chick-lit (I think, lol), and also very funny, if a little more intrigue than Bet Me
The Warlord Wants Forever by Kresley Cole... I have heard so many good things about this series, and i really need to get it off my TBR shelf as well :-)
Oh well... I never have been able to control myself, lol.. you have seven books to choose from, and I know none of them are erotica, which seems to be a fave genre for you:-) So to remedy that, I want to recommend Emma Holly's Personal Assets and All U Can Eat, which I think come close, and some of the scenes are verrrry hot:-)
Hope you find something:-)

Your TBR list :-
Dead Until Dark
A Quick Bite
Evermore
Stray
My Recommendations :-
Glass Houses
The Secret Garden
Full Moon Rising
Iron Kissed
So sorry about being late, I was on holiday with family, and I've only just got back home.

Wow Natalie, you're so late! I wish you would have contacted me.
Debbie was re-paired with Angelique. I'm going to leave it up to her to decide if she can handle more than Angelique's recommedation for this mont. Make sure to check back later or contact her through PM, if it's better.

That's how I did it...I tried to recommend books from genres I thought Julie would enjoy while also including some books from other genres that I liked myself. I was very lucky in that Julie had bunches of books in her TBR that I've already read so the choices were easy but I'm looking forward from getting another 'partner' with different tastes from mine. I didn't realize this was so much fun! I would have joined sooner. :)

I'm in this camp too, Fran. I read this book a few years ago and haven't felt the compunction to continue...but it's gotten so many recommendations that I'm considering trying out the second book soon. :)

If you do D.G., go with the audio. I think you'll enjoy it more.

Well, interestingly enough they both recommended similar books - I had already picked Dead Until Dark off of Angelique's list, now Natalie put it up also. Ironically, I just finished Iron Kissed off of Natalie's list. haha, does that count for taking both recommendations - j/k.
with regards to reading another one, I can try. I have a copy of The Secret Garden on my shelf that I have been wanting an excuse to read. this may be just the chance for me to pull it out.
- In other words, I will try. :)
Hope you had a good time on your holiday Natalie.

Let me know if you try out the audio version, we can read it together if you want

I also finished Dream Man, one of Julie's recommendations. It was a good solid read...I think it had too many things going on with the plot and I'm not sure they were tied together that well but the story has the best male relationship I think I've ever read in romance. The hero and his partner (they're cops) were great...you can tell they really knew and loved each other as brothers. Their interactions were genuine and not buddy-buddy over the top, just right. There was a point where the hero does something which really angered the heroine (I was mad as nails myself) but then his partner comes in and talks to her to try to explain the kind of guy the hero is - he even says 'He's my hero' - and there was just so much love and admiration, that I melted myself and forgave him, LOL!
Definitely a very good pick and I'm looking forward to reading at least another one of Julie's recommendations. :)

Don't worry about me, I did get my recs after all :-)know you're pretty busy :-)
I've also only read about 40 books from my big shipment (and I'm on my 21st book since last Sunday, lol) so I do have a lot of TBR on my shelves at home:-) I stole some books from your bookshelves by the way:-)) So if you have time, great, but if you don't, I won't come after you with a shotgun (promise) :-p

Got any reccomendations for me Debbie? :)
x

Sounds like a great vacation =)

Covet: Really liked this book. It was the first time i enjoyed the fallen angel theme in paranormal.
Dark Prince: This may not be the favorite in the series, but it's a good series IMHO. This is not a series you can read out of order.
The Hunger Games: Have not read this one yet, but have read fantastic reviews from some GR friends.
The Mane Attraction: I love this author and ALL of her books. I like the humor in them A LOT!
The Unsung Hero: This is a great romantic suspense series. I read this book and never looked back.
The Pregnancy Test: This author's books ave a good sense of humor and this story is really good too.
It Had to Be You: Let me put it this way, with the amount of book i have on my TBR this is the only series i have read entirely more than once. I like the author's quirky humor and the characters were very likeable.
Just the Sexiest Man Alive: This is another great author, all 3 of her books are really good. Though by far the last release is my favorite.
Annie's Song: As you probably were able to tell from my bookshelf i'm very picky when it comes to historicals. This was the book that opened my eyes to the kind of historical that i can enjoy. Have tissues handy though, it's worth it.

Sorry I had to go out of town for family stuff just got back today can I still post??????? My recommendations??????????? Ty Brandy
