message 7301: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments (Thank you so much, Maria! You're a sweetie pie. ^_^)

As a socially awkward introvert, I'd definitely say that's the case. I'm not into small talk at all as the barbers at Hair Masters will probably attest to.

TPBM has a fear of public speaking.

message 7302: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments No, despite being basically an introvert. My teacher-nature overrides that, and I've taught many classes.

TPBM enjoys writing letters to people.

message 7303: by James (new)

James Flamel (a_golden_leaf_in_winter) | 136 comments Yes. It saddens me that the letter is widely considered obsolete in favor of email. I personally believe that letters are more thoughtful.

TPBM is often confused by popular culture.

message 7304: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Hmmm. Not confused, I don't think. Puzzled, I would say, more than confused. But I am someone who reads Shakespeare, Carl Jung, and Chinese and Greek philosophers, so I am quite sure popular culture would find me at least equally puzzling or confusing.

TPBM enjoys reading the letters of significant historical figures.

message 7305: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments Yes, I feel like you can learn a lot about them that way

TPBM wonders how people who live in high rises get their furniture up so many floors.

message 7306: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments Hopefully, they have an elevator in their building. If not, they're screwed.

message 7307: by Deepak (new)

TPBM has a love-hate relationship with YouTube.

message 7308: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Lol! Not at all. I consider it another human invention used to communicate and as such will be inherently and naturally ambivalent.

TPBM loves that they can find instruction videos tondo anything on YouTube.

message 7309: by Jenn (new)

Jenn (ace-geek) I've learned from diy and cooking videos that watching someone do something doesn't give you the ability to do it, but it's still nice.

TPBM has learned this the hard way as well.

message 7310: by Deepak (new)

Deepak (noobhemingway) | 284 comments Yeah, fixing my friend's laptop didn't go exactly as planned.

TPBM has finished an entire bag of potato chips in one day.

message 7311: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I've done that before. Hell, I've eaten entire large pizzas before.

message 7312: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4489 comments Yes.

It was a half ounce bag of Herr's. ;)

And Deepak about the "love/hate" relationship I can relate. I hate the problems that YouTube is having now. From channels getting their content flagged because ultimately there were movie companies upset at the criticism to their film and they found a loophole in the Content ID rule, to the whole controversy of the Fine Bros thing, I have been feeling like my relationship with YT is to quote Facebook "Complicated." hehe.

But I do still love it and try my best to keep supporting the Youtubers that I love even when they are struggling now.

Okay off my tangent...
----

TPBM needs their coffee desperately today.

message 7313: by Deepak (new)

TPBM is scheduled for a visit to the chiropractor’s office.

TPBM thinks listening to an hour-long CD of people screaming in pain is sadistic.

message 7321: by Guy (new)

TPBM is thinking it's time to get back to a gym to do weight training.

message 7324: by Garrison (new)

TPBM wants to watch “Django Unchained” if he or she hasn’t already.

message 7325: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Not at this time, although I really enjoyed it. I am too busy, these days, to watch movies.

TPBM is puzzled how one can be too busy to watch movies.

message 7326: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I personally can watch movies anytime I want since I don't have a day job. The only reason why I don't is because most of my free time is used trying to wake up from mental tiredness. Thankfully, it hasn't been much of a factor these days due to my exercise and diet regimen.

TPBM wants to see “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”.

message 7327: by Guy (new)

TPBM wishes Pop-Tarts didn't come in tempting twos.

message 7333: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I don't eat Pop Tarts anymore, so I don't have to worry about being tempted.

TPBM has a hyena laugh.

message 7334: by Guy (new)

When choosing a story topic, TPBM always tries to find one that’s underrated.

message 7341: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Not always, but I do like to look at the underside of the topic.

TPBM finds that when s/he gets interested in a foreign language author after reading his/her books in English, that TPBM would like to learn that writer's native language.

message 7342: by Garrison (new)

message 7349: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments I haven't found that to be the case, although my being a schoolwork procrastinator lead me to too many last minute saves.

TPBM tends to underestimate how long projects will take, perhaps because s/he overestimates how easy it will be for him/her to do it.
