message 6501: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments I do. And I tell that to my Frances, one of my muses, who thinks it's b.s.

TPBM enjoys their internal discussions, ar least some of the time.

message 6502: by Deepak (new)

Deepak (noobhemingway) | 284 comments I enjoy it almost all the time.

TPBM has tried to solve the Rubik's cube one-handed.

message 6503: by Deepak (new)

Deepak (noobhemingway) | 284 comments No. I really really want my guitar back. It's stuck at a friend's place.

TPBM gets lost in thought often.

message 6504: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Sometimes, but far less so than at one time.

TPBM is on their break from work.

message 6505: by Marie (new)

Marie (naturechild02) Yes and no. Moms are never off duty.

TPBM wants to do a really epic Halloween costume one of these years.

message 6506: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Lol! What a great idea! Would it be politically incorrect if I wanted to dress up like Caitlyn Jenner? Now *that*would be epic, or just an epic flop?

TPBM likes giving out Halloween treats.

message 6507: by Deepak (new)

Deepak (noobhemingway) | 284 comments I haven't given out Halloween treats ever. But what I've seen of it in the movies, it might be something I might like.

TPBM feels lazy.

message 6508: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I do feel that way, Deepak, but once the caffeine from my diet sodas kicks in, it'll be a different story.

TPBM actually knows what a paper mill is supposed to smell like.

message 6509: by Deepak (new)

Deepak (noobhemingway) | 284 comments I might. We have a paper mill in the neighbouring town (which is more than a few miles away) and they do something once every few months (routine cleaning I guess) and we can smell it all the way in my home. It is not pleasant.

TPBM isn't exactly moved by "motivational" messages/pictures on social networks.

message 6510: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments Never. I usually find it annoying.

TPBM finds it mind-boggling that our peripheral sight can only see in black and white.

message 6511: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I never thought of that before. It surely is mind-boggling! :)

TPBM has a friend named Xavier and jokingly calls him The X-Man.

message 6512: by Deepak (new)

Deepak (noobhemingway) | 284 comments No. But I've been called that by my friends just because my surname is Charles.

TPBM is a fan of the anime version of Heidi.

message 6513: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I can't say I've ever seen it before. I'm currently living under an NCIS and WWE rock as far as television goes.

TPBM contributes to the Weekly Prompt Suggestions thread on a regular basis.

message 6514: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments I do and I don't. Growth is change.

TPBM finds platitudes to be trite and annoying, even if they contain grains of salty caramilized truth.

message 6515: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments As much as I use them sometimes myself, I can understand how they'd get old fast.

TPBM feels no shame in taking a break from his or her everyday routine once and a while.

message 6516: by Deepak (new)

Deepak (noobhemingway) | 284 comments My daily routine is filled with breaks like that. So I guess I take a break to study and then go and do other stuff. Okay I was exaggerating that a bit.
The answer is yes Garrison. That's what keeps me sane at grad school. :D

TPBM is procrastinating.

message 6517: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments The only reason why I procrastinate at all is because I'm waiting for my caffeine to kick in and wake me up from my constant state of zombie-like exhaustion. If it was up to me, I'd be a work-a-holic 24/7.

TPBM wants to one day write a short story or novel called “Necrocosm”.

message 6518: by Deepak (new)

Deepak (noobhemingway) | 284 comments If that means "Death World" it would be an interesting departure from my usual SciFi and drama. I'd love to do something like that.

TPBM has a story for Blunderbuss but hasn't been able to write it out because of his schedule.

(If you're answering Garrison, I'm pretty sure you'll say no. Your consistency is awesome!)

message 6519: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments Not only did I write a story for the Blunderbuss prompt, but I managed to make everybody on that thread laugh their asses off. That's a victory no matter how many votes I get. :)

TPBM thinks "Death World" sounds like the name of a horror-themed amusement park.

message 6520: by Deepak (new)

Deepak (noobhemingway) | 284 comments It sort of does but it gave me an old school kids TV show vibe like "Legends of the Hidden Temple"

TPBM was excited by the Microsoft event today.

message 6521: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I wasn't aware there was a Microsoft event today.

TPBM has a preference between Apple and Android.

message 6522: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Nor "keeps" but occasional prompts. And I seem to not have the drive to seek out publishers even when others do it for me.

TPBM thinks that "blunderpuss" is a word worthy of being in a dictionary.

message 6523: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments Did you mean to spell "blunderbuss" with a P or did your smart phone auto-correct you, Guy? Either way, it's hilarious and definitely belongs in the dictionary. Hehe!

TPBM wants to one day write a short story called "The Devil’s Level".

message 6524: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments [Not an autocorrect, and then 'p' was deliberate. :-) I wonder if everyone in the WSS used it it would become a word?]

No, that title doesn't inspire me to write.

TPBM thinks that anyone over 50 is old.

message 6525: by Jenn (new)

Jenn (ace-geek) 'Old' is a state of mind.

TPBM knows someone who goes baking-happy around this time of year.

message 6526: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I don't like coffee, so no, I haven't had one.

TPBM can see the architectural creativity in converting an abandoned grocery store into a concert hall.

message 6527: by Deepak (new)

Deepak (noobhemingway) | 284 comments It's been a nice but incredibly hectic day. Fall break starts in 1 hour. I cannot wait.

TPBM is looking forward to the weekend already.

message 6528: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments As someone who is currently unemployed, the weekend is no different from any other day of the week for me.

TPBM wants to get a 2016 calendar with cute animals on it.

message 6529: by Deepak (new)

Deepak (noobhemingway) | 284 comments Nope. My advisor is chasing me around with my thesis already. I really want to though.

TPBM has a pen/pencil that he/she really likes.

message 6530: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments Maybe not one pencil in particular, but I've got a whole coffee mug full of pencils that I bought on Amazon so that I wouldn't have to worry about another pencil getting lost.

TPBM has at least one character in his or her stories with the surname Cage.

message 6531: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I might have used it in a short story once, but I don't remember.

Whenever TPBM watches movies with high stakes heists, he or she wonders what a thief is supposed to do with a million dollar diamond necklace.

message 6532: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Not every time, but sometimes.

TPBM gets restless watching movies that have poorly written characters.

message 6533: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments Any aspect of a movie that's poorly written is tiring to me. The same is true with books. That's why I quit reading "Fifty Shades Darker" once I got to the 30 page mark. I couldn't stand it anymore.

TPBM can’t stand people who are unnecessarily melodramatic.

message 6534: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Hmm. Sometimes.

TPBM wonders if the phrase 'can't stand' is an example of hyperbole.

message 6535: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4489 comments Hmm maybe. And also Guy I could tell you didn't have autocorrect in that one statement in an earlier comment.

Guy wouldn't be a "blunderpuss" and make that mistake! ;) :P

message 6536: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments It's not hyperbole if you're paraplegic. (The audience boos and throws tomatoes at me.) I'll be here all week! (The audience throws even more tomatoes at me.)

TPBM actually knows what it means when a man says, "You can’t carry my jockstrap."

message 6537: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Often, yes, I have wondered ar that.

TPBM has been accused of being interested in the stupidest things.

message 6538: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments No, not sick, just tired.

TPBM is thinking of getting another pierce for a new ring.

message 6539: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I have no desires for any piercings at this moment.

TPBM knows someone who has/is getting one of those semicolon tattoos.

message 6540: by Deepak (new)

Deepak (noobhemingway) | 284 comments Is that a thing? I didn't even know that was a thing.

TPBM has had a great but exhausting week.

message 6541: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments Amen to that, Deepak. It was a great week, capped off by writing my entry for this week's "Last Goodbye" contest. I hope my audience likes it! :)

TPBM didn’t even know Good Reads existed until the early 2010’s.

message 6542: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I've only been on Goodreads for 2 years, but for a time before I made an account, I was using it to keep up with release dates. So I don't know when I found out about Goodreads.

TPBM doesn't see any use for most social media sites.

message 6543: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments My only social media sites are Good Reads, Deviant Art, and Face Book. That's about it. Anything else is just the same damn site.

TPBM keeps a paper journal.

message 6544: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments I do. I enjoy the process of putting ink to paper and the change in mental process required compared to typing.

TPBM does not have a tattoo.

message 6545: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I'm too sensitive to pain to have a tattoo or piercing, so the answer is a definitive "hell no".

TPBM has at least one character in his or her stories named Lance, either as a surname or given name.

message 6546: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments No. But it sounds like a good one to use in future stories, if I can get away from the association with the Lance family in DC Universe.

TPBM associates names with the first characters/people that they encountered with that name.

message 6547: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments Answer to Alex: I don't participate in NaNoWriMo since I can't improvise that well.

Answer to Angie: In the case of Lance, he was my best friend while I went to elementary school in Sacramento, California. Moving to Chehalis, Washington was heartbreaking for me after spending so much time playing Legos with him.

TPBM has more sharpened pencils than he or she knows what to do with.

message 6548: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments LOL! Nope, I prefer pens. Those I have in an overabundance.

TPBM wonders at the meaning of the ritual our culture has of the women changing their names with marriage.

message 6549: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I've been trying to figure that out for the past thirty years, Guy. Although, men are just as capable of changing their last names as evidenced with alternative rock singer Jack White. But seriously, what's going on here?

TPBM is hungry for a Steak Quesarito from Taco Bell.

message 6550: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments Not really.

TPBM thinks it's funny when people who don't have any knowledge of Spanish try to order quesodillas without cheese.
