please, the use of profanities are not required to emphasize your opinion. a more civilized manner of speaking would be most favorable =)

omg thats exactly how i feel about this arguing! respect other peoples opinions!

Please use something other than swear words! :)

I must say that I agree completely with you on this point. I began reading the series in first grade and fell in love with them. I had always been a reader, but the Harry Potter books really increased my passion for literature and made me the avid bookworm that I am. Really the primary concern for most novelists that write for children is engaging them and captivating them in order to foster a lifelong love of reading and learning. And Harry Potter was intended for child audiences, where it was actually rather groundbreaking, since it exceeded the previous maximum suggested lengths for children's books, had far more characters than were advised, and contained some more mature and advanced material. Sure, some of the characters may be a bit flat, and yes, the plot is essentially the same from one book to the next, and no, I would not put J.K. Rowling on a list of the Best Authors in the Universe, but she did a very nice job.

yes, please do

My two cents:
Millions of people love Harry Potter (myself included)...sooooooo I think we can all agree that they aren't the worst books ever written...
THEY ARE THE BEST!!!!!!
...but you're all entitled to your opinion ;)

hate it."
I have to disagree with you here. "Pointless" would mean that there would be no point to Harry "dying," when it is actually a very important part of the plot. It is when the horcrux in Harry is killed, meaning that Voldemort can now die. It extremely important and without this part, everyone's favorite protagonist would have actually died.
Okay, so some people may hate Harry Potter, but there is no reason to call people idiots! That's a bit mean, cuz I love Harry Potter!

Kayla,
I agree with Amber. You shouldn't insult people who like it. If someone loves something, then you shouldn't be told that your an idiot because you do.
Fine, hate Harry Potter, but you don't need to put others down because you don't like it.

I THINK U LACK CHOICE.. AND M SURE THERE MUST B SOME REALLY SILLY STUPID REASON 4 TAT...
LOOK AROUND AND CHECK OUT WHOS THE IDIOT

hello, it just seems they aren't my taste personally. I say 'oh well' not everything is for everyone. Frankly I didn't care enough to read those books into the series and THEN it starts getting interesting. It doesn't has to be a page turner from the first page, but gimme something, LOL. I do understand what you're suggesting though. As an aside, I don't know about calling people idiots over a damn book, tad bit dramatic. I think some of these people need to go hit some golf balls or get a massage to blow off that steam 0_0

Harry Potter is not stupid.
I love Harry Potter!
If it is stupid, why do you think it was sold so much?
Because everyone in the world is stupid?
I'm sure THAT IS NOT THE TRUTH!

I like Harry Potter.

Anyone that picks up a book to read is definitely not an idiot. People who write things on an open forume such as is quoted above need to be evaluated.

if you hate harry potter so much then why did you put harry potter as a book u read smart one

I LIKE HARRY POTTER
so i gues im a complete idiot
