Julia | 615 comments When I was last here I was reading The Endless Forest The Endless Forest (Wilderness, #6) by Sara Donati . It's the sixth and final book in this historical fiction, Romance, meta-fiction epic. I didn't love it, but I'd read all the others, so I needed to read this, too.
Since then I've read:
All Unquiet Things All Unquiet Things by Anna Jarzab which is a pretty good YA mystery. Unwind Unwind by Neal Shusterman which is a quite wonderful/ scarey YA dystopian novel.
Then I reread Briar Rose Briar Rose by Jane Yolen a WONDERFUL book. And today I finishedMarcelo In The Real World Marcelo In The Real World by Francisco X. Stork -- it has a terrific and unique narrator.
Next I'm reading The Good Fairies of New York Good Fairies Of New York by Martin Millar .

You fly through books so fast. How do u do it? Ive been told I read fast but it literally only takes you a few hours.

message 187: by Julia (new)

Julia | 615 comments Chakara,

It usually takes me more than a few hours to read a book. Well, Love is the Higher Law is only 167 pages and YA. But I don't speed read, I'm one of those who reads every word. I've finished and loved This Book Is Overdue!: How Librarians and Cybrarians Can Save Us All which is non-fiction about librarians and archivists in the 21st century and I'm about to start historical fiction Someone Knows My Name that all Canadians know about and almost no Americans do.

I thought this was the last one, but it looks like there is going to be another 3 pack out later this fall.

I find these stories to be really fast easy read. I do wonder about Sita though. From the first 3 to what I have read so far she seems like a totally different person.

message 192: by David (new)

David Radspinner (nowtheworld336) | 2 comments I'm currently reading Boneshaker (The Clockwork Century, #1) by Cherie Priest , I'm about half way through reading it in small off-time like breaks at work. It started off kind of slow, but so far I'm really into it, and really enjoying what's going on.

Melodie (melodieco) Kayzee wrote: "Im reading shiver lol does it make everyone else feel like a teenager again lol"

It did make me remember it a bit!

message 195: by TheThirdLie (new)

TheThirdLie I'm reading the first book in the Cal Leandros series by Rob Thurman. It's pretty good so far. The flashback scene that she did with Cal was particularly awesome and pretty chilling. It's rare for something in a book to actually seem horrifying - so many authors try to get this, but rarely do they actually get to me.

message 196: by Darcy (new)

Darcy (sunnytat462) | 822 comments I finally got my hands on Lover Mine (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #8) by J.R. Ward so will be reading that the rest of the night. I realize I am one of the few left on the planet that hasn't read it. I can finally stop avoiding all of the spoiler threads. lol

message 199: by Chelsea (new)

Chelsea (vampirebookclub) | 45 comments Read Personal Demons (Megan Chase, #1) by Stacia Kane this week while on airplanes. Wasn't sure how into it I was for the first half, but when I finished I knew I was going to keep reading the series.

Just started the 9th Anita Blake book Obsidian Butterfly (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter, #9) by Laurell K. Hamilton yesterday. Not sure if I'm going to like spending an entire book with Edward/Ted Forrester... but I'm hopeful.

message 200: by Darcy (new)
