Ohhh good to know since I now own books one and two -- I could have a complete set! Oh wait! I just remembered I haven't won anything for 3 YEARS!!! Why do I even bother people? Why??!!

p.s. I even won two audiobooks in another group and the publisher never sent them to me! Bad luck I tell you.

I agree David should read Jellicoe Road but I think he bought Finnikin when it was on sale -- am I correct David? Oh well any Melina is a start! Maybe we can push Jellicoe on him if he likes Finnikin.

Lol! One day I need to listen to the audio. I'm sure the way I've said many things in my head are completely wrong!! Then again, maybe I don't want to know how they're really pronounced. That might ruin my saumensch/sandwich fun.

Ha! Yes somethings are better left to your imagination. I do HIGHLY recommend his other book on audio though if you want to try it I am the Messenger by Markus Zusak . I think the narrator for I am the Messanger and the one for Jellicoe Road should make babies because I have a crush on both of them and I have never even seen them!

But seriously I am super exicted to have a new book to pimp! EVERYONE GO READ IT! Maybe we should make it a buddy read or a monthly book because I also know someone named SHANNEN has not read it. Hmmmmm....

Yeah...my Kindle is loaded with tons of books that I haven't gotten time to read. But I've got a 6 year old son who ADORES me! :) (I guess that's the trade off for my lost reading time)

Lloyd | 110 comments Wow...banished of to the Naughty Corner, eh? Well, as long as I can take my Kindle!

I don't get points for having already read Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta ? It's because I wasn't all gooey about the relationships, isn't it?

message 3911: by Lloyd (new)

Lloyd | 110 comments Tales from the Naughty Corner.

It's so dark and cold here...

Ah well, I guess I'll just have to keep reading Across the Universe (Across the Universe, #1) by Beth Revis for now!

Tell you what: I'll join you. I hereby banish myself off to the naughty corner because I haven't read any Melina Marchetta books yet. I'm sure that's a federal crime in Australia.

Currently reading Brighton Rock by Graham Greene .

Karen’s Library | 574 comments Whew!!! Thank goodness I read and liked On the Jellicoe Road

Karen JUST escapes the naughty corner!! Bwaahahahah...

The Book Thief is very close to home for me! My mom was a little girl in Germany at the same time as in the book and had so many horrible experiences. if I could write, it would be to tell her story.

Nice try Lloyd but no dice! I like how you even played the kid card Lloyd. It almost worked. Oh ok who am I fooling. It worked. 6 year old who LOVES you PLUS Jellicoe Road has earned your freedom from the naughty corner but I want you to remember what you did to earn your time there so that it never happens again. Ok? Ok.

Lloyd | 110 comments I promise I'll get to The Book Thief by Markus Zusak soon! I just know it's sad and I'm depressed enough as it is.

Besides...those two Patrick Ness books that I could buy for my Kindle are tempting me...greatly! Must...resist...

Actually, the Naughty Corner would be great to force me to finish all these books I'm stuck part-way through.

message 3919: by David (new)

David Estes (davidestesbooks) | 836 comments Yep you could just sit in the corner all day and get caught up. I heard there's a well stocked micro fridge in the naughty corner too ;)

Karen’s Library | 574 comments Aww thanks, guys. Mom is incredible and a very fiesty German lady! I bought her a house 2 blocks away just to keep an eye on her! She likes jagermeister and poker! Ha ha...!

One day, I'll get her amazing life story down on paper for the grandkids to read. About 20 years ago I spent a few weekends making her tell me everything she could remember while I typed everything she said. Someday maybe I can put it all together!

Becky (bek11) | 451 comments I am currently reading:

The Knife of Never Letting Go (Chaos Walking, #1) by Patrick Ness The Horn of Moran (Adventurers Wanted, #2) by M.L. Forman

The second is probably more Junior Fiction and lighthearted so I think it might balance the first.
