Hahaha Blue! Read my review. I hated all slang words and her perky attitude but mid way through it changes. Trust me!

Yay Darcy! Glad you liked it. I looked at your tbr pile and recommend White Cat - as far as I know there are no new ones coming out in that series. What are you in the mood for (fantasy, dystopian, realistic, funny??)

Becky (bek11) | 451 comments Darcy, I enjoyed the Septimus Heap books, the first one is OK but they get better as you go along.

After glancing at your TBR, you may want to do The Iron King. I believe that series is completed. It wasn't my cup of tea but I know a lot of people loved them.

And I get really, really tired of the incomplete series, too. That's why I haven't done much with The Lunar Chronicles yet.

I totally get you! Sometimes I don't read books because I find out there are more than 5 books in the series and I don't want to commit!

Some of my favorite completed YA series are:

Finnikin of the Rock Finnikin of the Rock (Lumatere Chronicles, #1) by Melina Marchetta Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging (Confessions of Georgia Nicolson, #1) by Louise Rennison Dairy Queen Dairy Queen (Dairy Queen, #1) by Catherine Gilbert Murdock Bloody Jack: Being an Account of the Curious Adventures of Mary "Jacky" Faber, Ship's Boy Bloody Jack Being an Account of the Curious Adventures of Mary "Jacky" Faber, Ship's Boy (Bloody Jack, #1) by L.A. Meyer Hex Hall Hex Hall (Hex Hall, #1) by Rachel Hawkins Rot and Ruin Rot and Ruin (Benny Imura, #1) by Jonathan Maberry and Unwind Unwind (Unwind, #1) by Neal Shusterman

I'm honestly on the search for a series with 5 or more books(but preferably not one of those series with like 20+ books) just to find something to keep me for awhile.

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 440 comments Darren wrote: "Tommy, have you read The Inheritance Cycle? It's not 5 books, but 4. Each book is long enough to keep you wrapped up in the story for a while."

I've read Eragon, but am on the fence about continuing the series. Eragon was such a unique reading experience for me because as I read it I was really bored haha. I honestly almost stopped a couple of times. But then by the time I finished it and reflected, I quite liked it.

So I found it boring... but I liked it haha.

:D True that. Options are nice. I suppose its because most series are trilogies or Quartets so finding 5 or more book series, and them being good is something a bit difficult.

Oh YAY! I think we bought it when it was a Kindle Daily Deal :) I really really liked this one. Although I did figure out the twist, you probably will too, its a really good read! And I got the author to come to David's group for a Q&A next month!

message 8170: by Jenny (new)

Jenny (juliababyjen) | 1572 comments Finished Taken (Taken, #1) by Erin Bowman and it was just an okay read. I liked the concept, but not the characters all that much.

Also finished reading Bloodlines (Bloodlines, #1) by Richelle Mead and I loved this one! Great follow up to Vampire Academy.

Now reading Flip (Slip, #3) by David Estes !! Almost done, great so far!

Going to be starting Reboot (Reboot, #1) by Amy Tintera today.

Sound good to me. I'm also trying to get my girlfriend's little brother reading more. He's about to be 9 but is pretty bright, for his age, probably more in line with an 11 or 12 year old. Think this may be something someone of that short description may enjoy? Haha.

Up next, The Spindlers by Lauren Oliver

Watching everyone here go through books so fast is so amazing! I have no clue how you guys do it.

Taking a much needed break for March ^_^ Yea, I know I didn't read much, but my brain feels fuzzy. I think it's all the cold weather we're getting here up north. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for warmer weather. I'd take -10 I don't care just as long as it's not -40, I'm getting cabin fever!

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 440 comments Finished The Spindlers by Lauren Oliver I really liked it. It was fun and quick and the imagery was fantastic. I recommend it, especially as an in-between-series read.

Up next, I'll probably reread Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (Harry Potter, #3) by J.K. Rowling until I can get back to the library later this week.

message 8198: by Jenny (new)

Jenny (juliababyjen) | 1572 comments In the last few days:

Finished Flip (Slip, #3) by David Estes --5 EPIC stars; Bloodlines (Bloodlines, #1) by Richelle Mead --4.5 stars, really liked this one; Reboot (Reboot, #1) by Amy Tintera --4 stars, really liked this one too. Great concept! ; Her Dark Curiosity (The Madman's Daughter, #2) by Megan Shepherd --3.5 stars. For some reason I'm somewhat addicted to this series, despite being creepy as all get out. I don't really like the MC at all, and I think the love triangle is stupid. But it has me hooked with this macabre storyline. So I will probably read the last one. Think The Island of Dr. Moreau crossed with Frankenstein.

Next I think I'm going to read The Prisoner of Cell 25 (Michael Vey, #1) by Richard Paul Evans
