Kristen Taber | 506 comments I'm currently reading The Summer of Letting Go and The Wolf's Cry. I'm not far into either, but I'm enjoying the writing so far.

I'm so far behind on my TBR pile...I've promised several friends I'd read their books and I just can't get focused (for writing either). I think I need a vacation! It's been two long years since my last one.

I wish :). We're supposed to go to Toronto for 5 days in September (I also have a race, so I need to train! eek). I'm really looking forward to that trip!

Yay :). I've never been (my great-grandparents were from Quebec and I grew up in Maine, so I've been to Quebec, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia a few times, and my SIL is in Seattle, so B.C. is a regular stop...just not Toronto yet, for some reason). A good friend of mine moved back there last year (she was born there). She'll be showing me around, so it should be a great time.

My race is a 10k at the zoo, so that should be awesome, too.

that's great! Toronto is a bit more different from the other places you've been to. It doesn't have the beauty of old town Quebec or the Rolling hills of BC! But I think it has its own charm!

I've never been to two cities exactly alike, but that's what I love about travelling. If they were all the same, they'd be boring :)

For some reason, I didn't see this post before. Thanks again for reading TCR this month. I can't wait to discuss it with everyone. I'm not shy about answering any and all questions, too, except spoilers. I won't even tell my husband what's going to happen next :).

Heidi, you'll have to tell me what you think of Karen (my voice actor) when you're through. She's an absolute delight to work with on my side, so I'm using her again for Aerenden The Zeiihbu Master (Ærenden, #3) by Kristen Taber . The second book Aerenden The Gildonae Alliance (Ærenden, #2) by Kristen Taber came out at the beginning of this year and she did that one, too.

I'm such a geek when it comes to this stuff; I get so excited. I love working with actors :-D. I'm sort of awestruck by what they do since I can't do it. I always come off like a paper robot when I try to act...lol.

I would totally be in awe of the actors as well Kristen! I even sometimes watch clips of my favorite narrators in action because I am such a geek! Can't wait to get to your book!

I'd say border of Middle School and YA. The main character is 14 years old but there's a bit of violence and some crazy bad guys. Our library has it in the YA section. If you're OK with some over the top action scenes then you might find it to be a fun read.

Becky (bek11) | 451 comments Kristen wrote: "becky, what age range do you think? I'm always looking for books for my sister's kids. The oldest is almost 10."

I've allowed my almost 9-year-old boy to read it, but he reads way above the average. And they have to be OK with violent deaths. They're not graphic, but people are being shot and blown up. I'm assuming my boy's imagination is hopefully not as good as mine in that aspect and I've talked to him some about it. I'm continuing to read the series mainly so that I can check the content before letting him read them. Someone mentioned the Jason Steed books as being similar to the Alex Rider books. The Jason Steed books are listed for 9-12 year olds and the main character is 12. I haven't read any of those yet, but they may be worth checking out for a younger audience.

Had a crazy busy weekend, but spent like 8 hours on a bus so I had a lot of time to read. :P So I finally finished:

Cress (The Lunar Chronicles, #3) by Marissa Meyer

It was awesome! I loved it!

And I've read about half of:

Grasshopper Jungle by Andrew Smith

It's pretty good so far, although I don't think it's my favorite Andrew Smith book. But of course, I still have a lot of it left.
