Hey everyone, I'm working on Les Miserables by Victor Hugo and The Waste Lands (Dark Tower 3) by Stephen King on my Kindle.

I'm nearing the end of Once Were Cops by Ken Bruen. My first from author Bruen. This is sharp, true neo noir crime fiction that doesn't hold back. No flash, just raw crimes warping minds and a lean storyline. It's a nice though grim diversion from my usual diet of historical (1930s/40s mostly) espionage/mystery novels.

I recently finished Crooked Letter, Crooked Letter by Tom Franklin and really, really enjoyed it. Right now I'm finishing up The Professional by Robert B. Parker, which I've found to be just as much fun as most of the other Spenser books, contrary to some reader reviews I've seen.

Crooked Letter, Crooked Letter looks good. If I didn't have so many books in the queue I'd be tempted to read it now. But if anything jumps my 'wish list' queue it'd be The Ghosts of Belfast.

Watched a BBC show called ZEN in the UK about an italian detective. Really loved it so just downloaded Ratking to see if it is any good. I will then do other 9 if it is.

I'm reading the Clan of the Cave Bear. Never wanted to carry the big books around but with the kindle, it makes reading big books enjoyable.......so many people said they read this series years ago, i must be out of the loop, but loving the 1st one so far.

Kathy, you are just in time. The final book in the series...#6....is coming out in March. I can't wait! You won't have to wait the 10-13 years in between each book like alot of us did. Lucky you! Enjoy! :)

I've not long finished The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks and I am currently reading Eat, Pray, Love.
Though at this point I should say dragging myself through Eat Pray Love. The first portion of India in the Ashram I am finding very tedious. I can't wait till she takes off travelling again.

I have so many I want to read but i'm thinking I might grab the first Discworld book by Terry Pratchett next.

Sad but true story. I find it amazing how brutal this story is yet the author remains strong. Muslim women are not as weak we think they are. Some are brutally strong.
