I just got my Kindle! I love it.. Right now, I am reading Room...interesting ...but I just finished Kissing Frogs in Cyberspace. That was hysterical. Room is kind of pricey but Frogs was 3.00...I want to read Half Broke Horse next.

Read 'Her Laird, Her Lover' by Sable Grey yesterday, which turned out ot be a novella rather than a novel. I'm looking forward to checking out what I've downloaded and chosing a new read...
Currently I'm reading Fire-Heart: A Tale of Alterra, The World That Is, Amber Magic, and soon I'll be starting The Sorcerer of the North.I seriously love my Kindle. I also suggest you all check out the blog Pixel of Ink if you haven't already.

Lauren, when I have a book that is dragging, I start a second book and just try to read like 10 or 20 pages of the slow book and then turn my attention to the new book. The only downside is if the new book drags too!!!

Thanks for the tip. I actually read Henrietta Lacks after starting EPL but didn't think to switch between the two to get it to move. I'll be doing that tonight.

I wanted to add that when a book drags, sometimes it's easier to use the audio function on ur Kindle & listen to it when ur cleaning or taking a bath. BTW...put ur Kindle in a gallon size ziploc bag & it will be protected from water in the bathroom...so if u brought it into the shower....it'd be all good, too. I got this tip on this site before, so I thought I'd pay it forward.
I'm reading Adrian Goldsworthy's Anthony and Cleopatra. (The Kindle edition includes a number of maps.)
Finished The Lemon Tree: An Arab, a Jew, and the Heart of the Middle East and now I am reading The Lost Summer of Louisa May Alcott.
I'm about 60% done with Three Musketeers (thank you Project Gutenburg) and starting on "The High king of Montival" by SM Stirling (a favorite sci fi author). Love it - two huge heavy books shrunk into Kindle form (swoon)
I've been reading Lyonesse: Suldrun's Garden. I just started today and I'm about 18% thought it. So far I'm enjoying it. It's kind of on the same level as LOTR though so if you have a hard time with high fantasy and that kind of writing style I wouldn't suggest it.
Jenna wrote: "I'm 70% of the way through The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud :)"I loved that book! I read it in under 24 hours. I breathed Charlie St. Cloud for the whole time. :) I read it last year and it was on of my favorites of the year. How do you like it? BTW my name is Jennifer. :)
I've lost my mind. Now reading a few at the same time, which is unusual for me. Off the top of my head, Carlie Huston's hardcover of The Shotgun Rule, and then on Kindle Blood of the Wicked by Leighton Gage, The Grove, a collection of short fiction by Tom Monteleone and an old Conan pulp novel.
For anyone that is interested, it appears that a bunch of Edward Marston books are on Kindle now: Most of the Christopher Redmayne, The Domesday, and Inspector Colbeck series. The Missing Mysteries series and Captain Rawson don't appear to be available yet, but I'd think they're getting on with it finally. Great fun!
The Crying Tree: A Novel and its looking as though it will be on my list of best of 2011....I started this morning and haven't stopped, its really pulled me in. If it continues this way I will have no hesitation giving it 5 stars!!
Decided to read Death in Venice on my kindle whilst reading By Nightfall: A Novel as a hard copy, its apparently based on Mann's Death in Venice.
Harry wrote: "I've lost my mind. Now reading a few at the same time, which is unusual for me. Off the top of my head, Carlie Huston's hardcover of The Shotgun Rule, and then on Kindle Blood of the Wicked by Leig..."I've been doing the same thing. Currently reading both Alice Hoffman's new novel "The Red Garden" and the March edition of "Asimov's SF" on my kindle.
This is a new pattern for me. I was a one book at a time reader. Read and finish one book. Put it on a shelf. Choose another. Has anyone else changed their reading habits because of the kindle?
I've always had a couple going at one time (one in the purse, one in the bathroom, one at the bedside), but it tends to be worse with the Kindle since the extra books aren't taking up room in the purse. I still keep a bathroom book going though, since I don't want to expose my Kindle to tile floors and water.
Cheryl wrote: "For anyone that is interested, it appears that a bunch of Edward Marston books are on Kindle now: Most of the Christopher Redmayne, The Domesday, and Inspector Colbeck series. The Missing Mysteries..."Thanks for the tip - they are even available in Canada! I enjoy historical mystery, among other genres, and was disappointed that few of my favouite authors were available last fall when I got my kindle, but it is gradually improving.
by John Lawton. Mystery/espionage set in Cold War Britain in the 1950s. Inspector Troy just doesn't fit in, but he's right in the middle of it. It's my kinda deal.
Working my thru the WEB Griffin series Brotherhood of War. It’s an old series and read them years ago but when I got my Kindle I thought of them and started reading them again
I have had my Kindle for a couple of months now, but the most of the books I have on it are free ones. I usually read the Kindle when I am away from home which hasn't been as much as usual lately. Right now I am reading by Oliver Potzsch. I need to spend more time with it.
Just finished "The Art of racing in the Rain" and "Hotel on the Corner of bitter and sweet" and find I'm not missing the paperback at all.
I am finishing up Gone with the Wind. My sister has begged me to read Scarlett along with her but its not available on the kindle. This will be the first REAL book I have held and read in a long time. It will probably take me a long time to read because I usually read my kindle up until the hubby turns out the lights and then I grab my ipod touch and start reading where I left off on my kindle. Guess I will have to find a book to read on my kindle also.
I've always wanted to read the Oz books, and then being free on digital has made that very convenient. So, I am reading The Wonderful Wizard of Oz right now. I absolutely LOVE Baum's style. Very enjoyable to read. It also shows me just how perfect the Marvel adaptation of The Wonderful Wizard Of Oz was.

How are you getting on with..."
Yes!
Only had my Kindle since last Friday but have just finished readingWolf Hall
The Confession of Katherine Howard
Really good books set in Tudor times.
Also just read
once bitten
and was disappointed with this. Huge build up and atmosphere, then very weak reveal and rushed ending....am sure he is just cashing in on the current vampire trend too.
I am currently reading:
Drood
Han d'islande
So also obviously need to read
Merriam-Webster's French-English Dictionary
For work reasons I am reading
Publish on Amazon Kindle with the Digital Text Platform
I'm currently reading William Gagliani's Savage Nights. Gagliani's got a great eye for detail. I'm enjoying this one quite a bit.Joel
author of Northwoods Deep
REVELATION!I've been reading Kindle books since I was given the Kindle as a birthday gift back in October 2010. Before this I was a 'dead tree' book girl, stacks of TBR everywhere, loving the feel and smell of books. SHOCK HORROR - yesterday I went back to a paper back (couldnt find the book on Kindle) and now I PREFER THE KINDLE. What has happened to me? I need therapy, it's such a shock, but I love my Kindle now, more than paper books!

Grace, no surprise there! I still love paper books and I have a lot of them around my house, but they are decorations now, I never read them, don't want to read any way but on my Kindle now.
The Panic Virus: A True Story of Medicine, Science, and Fear
I've been looking forward to reading this.

Thanks! I am only about 1/3 through. So much distraction with the superbowl stuff! My bf is a Packers fan. He is very happy now! LOL

Currently reading The Half-Orcs Omnibus (not sure why my add book/author link isn't working). Done with book one, now reading book two.
