I've never seen the show but I can't wait to read these! I hear they are great!
Janey wrote: "Last night I finished

Love Tess Gerritsen. I've just read Bet you can't... Find Me and have started Scream for Me (Romantic Suspense, #8) both excellent and highly recommended.
I just finished Dark Places and boy was it was dark!! Still a great read though! I've read all 3 of her books and loved each one!Now I'm back to Blindsighted, which I had to stop reading in order to get Dark Places read and returned to the library in the time alloted. This is my first novel by Karin Slaughter and so far, I'm really liking her writing style!

just finished reading
. this is so freaky! i had read all Gillian Flynn books. my most fave is
, next is
and least is sharp objects.
I am not sure what folder this needs to go in, but Before I Go To Sleep is $2.99 on kindle today. It is a daily deal.
I'm about halfway through My Forbidden Past which is one of those melodramatic old historicals written in the 40s. I picked it up because an old Ava Gardner movie I saw recently was based on it. Also almost done with Landay's The Strangler
, my first foray into Landay since
Defending Jacob. Finished Double Life: A Love Story from Broadway to Hollywood
and A Box of Darkness: The Story of a Marriage
the latter of which was irritating.
Just finished In A Dry Season by Peter Robinson and Mr. Monk is a Mess by Lee Goldberg. Am currently reading To Speak for the Dead by Paul Levine.
I just finished The Warehouse by Paxton Helling. This one's a real piece of work: a "psychological thriller" and an all-niter, too. Stock up on coffee and chips for this one.
Jackie Renee wrote: "Currently rereading Agatha Christie's 4:50 From Paddington."My goodness, I need to re-read this book. It must be over 35 years since I first read it. Let me know Jackie - is it still as good? :-)
I just finished The Anteater of Death: A Gunn Zoo Mystery by Betty Webb. Great story, good writing and very entertaining. I'll be reading the rest of the Zoo series.
I picked up and almost as quickly set aside Dialogues Of The Dead by Reginald Hill. I see from the jacket Hill is prolific and has a ton of reviews. The Pascoe and Dialudid mysteries seem to be immensely popular. Must be me.I just don't get it. I found the dialog stilted where others found it witty and rapier sharp. I thought the author tried way, way too hard to be clever. The absolute worst thing was every time anyone did anything they had to answer to some local board, committee, or commission of street sign maintenance or the ministry of recidivism and tolerance. How could people possibly live like that?
Another set aside: Lincoln Child's Deep Storm. I liked Relic when I read it long ago but another Atlantis story, puhleeze.Child and Cussler must sit around and write silly ideas on slips of paper, put them in a hat and challenge the other to come up with the most ridiculous plot lines possible. The reader can only suspend belief in the rational and embrace the unlikely so many times a page. Not my genre a'tall.

I'm currently reading Dead Over Heels by Charlaine Harris and Introducing The Honorable Phryne Fisher by Kerry Greenwood.
Currently reading the extraordinarily long The Murder Room
I'd given up on PD James long ago because it seemed her preoccupation with psychology and description eclipsed her feeling for plot and pace.
I'm pleasantly surprised to be speeding along with a true interest this time in the well-drawn characters and leisurely unwrapping of the disclosures. Perhaps sitting through 20 episodes of The Killing has expanded my tolerance for detection at a slower pace.
I'm just finishing
, which I'm loving. I've got
going in the car (LOVE Cotton Malone) and have
waiting as soo as I finish that. I LOVE retirement!!
Donna wrote: "Just started Death by Chocolate for the mEastery Challenge. I was chuckling from page one."I just bought that one for my Nook. Can't wait to read it.
I am currently reading tons of mystery and suspense novels. Dismissed with prejudice by J A Jance, Frozen Heat by Richard Castle, corktown, and a we others.
Just finished Crooked Letter, Crooked Letter by Tom Franklin. What a great mystery!!! Could not put it down.
Just started both the Jack Daniels and Lincoln Rhyme series. I find it hard to get started on Deaver's books but once I'm in, I'm IN.
Has finished Yellow Crocus - Laila Ibrahim Which I found to be like Roots: The Saga of an American Family - Alex Haley which I've only seen the film, but can picture it in my head. Now I've picked up In Stitches - Nick Edwards For a challenge I am doing at the moment,
I finished Judgement Call by J.A.Jance, a mystery. I liked the book okay but the motivation for the crimes seemed like a stretch. I think Jance maybe needs to take a rest from Sheriff Brady for a while. 3 stars.

I just finished reading The Woods. It's the second book I've read by Harlan Coben. I really love his writing style.

I've not read many of his but have loved the 2 I have read!! I read Gone for Good and Tell No One. Excellent, excellent!! He also has a series that I've heard nothing but great things about! The first one being Deal Breaker. I've not read it but plan on it!
I finished One Rough Man by Brad Taylor. It was just okay. I also finished The Program by James Swain which was excellent. I'm now reading The Black Box by Michael Connelly

Hey, thanks, Aiesha. I'll drag my lazy self over to Amazon and check these out, then I'll stick one in my 'to read' tray (which is groaning, of course, but nothing new there). :-)
