I read the first 5 chapters of book 4, Out of Control. Umm, Hawt! I love how the SEAL men talk to each other, it's so realistic and they're just funny. Plus how Brockmann describes (Wendy, It's not a huge spoiler) (view spoiler)[Sam and Paoletti as new fathers, had me laughing so hard. Tired, worn out, needing sex lmao!! (hide spoiler)]

How Brockmann can weave these characters together in such a way that you understand all the connections but it's not confusing.

I love Max. I can't wait for his story.

I think I may get this audio book right now Leea. You made me want to get it. The historical story in this one is my favorite. And I love the secondary couple. How Ken was asking Sam and the Chief about multiple orgasim. Ken said something like 'they had a look that said, they hadn't had sex in awhile' (brockmann says it better, ha!) Sam is just so funny. The historical story is really good. I love how Brockmann writes these women, they are just strong and fierce.

Wendy you will love it -- lucky for you, the hot stuff happens right away.

They are strong and fierce. She writes a character later on in the series that is not as strong, but she eventually comes in to her own. I am interested to see if you both will like her. Fans reacted strongly against her and for her.

They really are. I also like how Ken is not perfect but through Savannah's eyes we see what she wants/loves about him.

I prefer the men who aren't perfect. I think that's why I like Ken. He's sort of impulsive and reckless, but it just makes him so much cuter.

I agree, I prefer that too. Despite the fact that this is all very unreal it makes them more real.

I love Ken and Savannah, BUT, I'm also frustrated again with (view spoiler)[Ken's anger. I get that some of it is displaced anger still at Adelle, but he's just overreacting. He's being a big ass dick. I was hoping that they would just be cute through the story and the plot wouldn't be 'oh I'm mad at you' again (hide spoiler)]. It's probably my only complaint.

I'm loving ALL of the side stories too. I love Jones and Molly, so much. So So much.

I'm still on Chapter 6... We're getting our carpets cleaned tomorrow and I had to clean the whole house and get tons of stuff off the floor and then I reorganized the playroom, kids room and my bedroom.

I'm too tired to read now. lol! I'm going to read a ton tomorrow and catch up :)

Still, I think Molly and Jones are my favorite. He breaks my heart.

It's okay. I really want to keep reading but my kids are non stop these days. I woke up early to read but I could only get a chapter in before the kids were up. We have our tball end of the year party tonight so I wont get to read much again.

It is soooooo satisfying. :). I love that book.

So 5 has so really important elements, particularly about Sam. But I disliked the main heroine. I didn't believe in the romance. 6 thru 13 are all fabulous. 14 is some good closure and has some BDSM! Lol. But 5 and 14 are two I have never reread and never will. 15 and 16 are fabulous again. I guess my point is 5 is not an indication of the series going down. And it is still decent.

9 was good and that's where I stopped. I can't seem to get into book 10, Into the Storm. Jenk just doesn't seem very interesting to me, and SB didn't really build his character in the previous books. Regina, are the rest good? Are they worth continuing on with the series?

I think the only true weak ones (after 1 and 2) are 5 and 14. I really liked 10 - -how far into are you? I think Jenks and his heroine are a very sweet couple, plus there are very key Izzy parts (he is a key sub character in this one) and key Sophie, Dave, and what's his name parts in 10. The set-up was different as it is about a training gone wrong in the middle of a snow storm and then a serial killer. So I guess I would ask, how far into it are you? And I would suggest you push through it. 11, 12, 13, 15 and 16 are all really good. 16 is Izzy's book. *grin*

There are parts of 10 I found very disturbing and reading that POV was hard, but per her usual Brockmann ends it satisfactorily. I don't want to spoil it for you or anyone else, so I will just leave it at that.
