Jessica (roses7184) I just finished Never After by Dan Elconin. That book was hilarious and awesome!

You can read my review on my page, and if you REALLY have to know what it's about I'll tell you if you message me :). It is a whole lot more fun to find out as you read though.

If you are okay with cussing, and appreciate TWSS jokes....you will love this book.

Mindy (mindylu) | 82 comments I just read To Catch a Pirate by Jade Parker. I love this book. It is romance (not always my thing) I would recommend it.

message 203: by Becca (new)

Becca | 1608 comments I just read Alanna: The First Adventure and I would recommend it. It was cute and I really like Alanna's personality. Some parts of it felt pretty forced, but for the most part the story was interesting and entertaining.

I plan to read it! Thanks for your update.

Brittany (finally graduated and can once again read for fun) | 1328 comments I just finished Incarceron and have to say I really enjoyed it. I know we've had this conversation before, but I would recommend it. It does however seem to not be for everyone, but as someone who adores dystopia... I thought it was great.

message 206: by Becca (new)

Becca | 1608 comments I just finished Magic Study and quite enjoyed it. My favorite line in the whole book is the third to last. I laughed long and hard on that one. Good story, good follow up to Poison Study. I'm excited to read the next one and would recommend this one too.

Thanks Brittany! I'll have to check it out now, as I like dystopian novels. You say it was hard to get in to in the beginning?

message 208: by Heidi (new)

Heidi I plan to listen to Incarceron on audio. I already picked up. p.s. I had to drive 45 miles to get that audio book and the Darklover audiobook from another library, so I hope they are worth it! (my library won't get me any AV materials from other libraries in our circuit).

message 209: by Laura Beth (new)

Laura Beth (tampabookworm) | 229 comments oohhh - let me know how it is Heidi. Maybe I will like the audio better!

message 210: by Heidi (new)

Heidi Will do!

message 211: by Emmy (new)

Emmy The Body Finder!!!!! It is amazing! The Body Finder (Body Finder, #1) by Kimberly Derting

message 212: by Becca (new)

Becca | 1608 comments Just finished Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging: Confessions of Georgia Nicolson. I can hardly believe how dang funny this book was! It isn't for everyone though, so if you don't enjoy high school girl drama, don't read it. If you want to crack up every few minutes listen to it. The reader did an awesome job.

message 213: by Alan (new)

Alan (coachmt) | 72 comments Nickelodeon I think did a TV movie of that and I have to say it was pretty cute. My 14 year old daughter enjoyed it. Don't know how closely they kept to the book though.

message 214: by Jillian (new)

Jillian (jzmick) | 14 comments I liked Hush, Hush too! I like anything with Angels though...

message 215: by Jillian (new)

Jillian (jzmick) | 14 comments I also must recommend Black Dagger Brotherhood series...its very adult, paranomal romance. I just read LOVER MINE (#8 in the series) that came out at the end of April...

Roshini Emmy wrote: "The Body Finder!!!!! It is amazing! The Body Finder (Body Finder, #1) by Kimberly Derting"

I agree! I just finished this book. Quite a quick read but very interesting. Apparently there's a book 2 in the works.

I really liked the movie :)

I guess slow isn't really the best word for it, but it is hard to get into at first, and very confusing until you figure out what's going on, and once you do it becomes a bit predictable. I'm really glad a stuck with it. You can check out my review if you want. No spoilers.

AGREED! Loved it too!

Jen | 55 comments Laura wrote: "YAY Bluemoon! Now you have to read Hunger !!"

Definitely!!! And I was lucky enough to read the ARC of Lies which comes out in June? Or July? Super good too, and totally sets you up for the next book! Lies has a lot of new characters in it and adds some great twists!

message 221: by Jen (new)

Jen | 55 comments I just finished reading If I Stay by Gayle Forman...if you haven't read it yet I would highly recommend it. But get ready to cry - very emotional and beautifully written.

message 222: by Heidi (new)

Heidi Jen wrote: "I just finished reading If I Stay by Gayle Forman...if you haven't read it yet I would highly recommend it. But get ready to cry - very emotional and beautifully written."

Oh wow! I was just going to write the exact same recommendation! I listened to it on audio and loved it.

I just finished If I Stay too. I agree it was beautifully written, but I was teary through most of it!

message 226: by Peep (Pop! Pop!) (new)

Peep (Pop! Pop!) I just finished Halfway to the Grave Halfway to the Grave (Night Huntress, #1) by Jeaniene Frost (spicy) and I now plan to finish Rangers Apprentice, bk 1 The Ruins of Gorlan (Ranger's Apprentice, #1) by John Flanagan .

message 227: by Heidi (new)

Heidi Let me know about Ranger's Apprentice Peep!

message 228: by Laura Beth (new)

Laura Beth (tampabookworm) | 229 comments Hope you are enjoying Ranger's Apprentice!!

message 229: by Peep (Pop! Pop!) (new)

Peep (Pop! Pop!) I like it so far. It's really good but I get easily distracted reading it. It's interesting seeing the kids progress. The only weird thing sometimes, is the voice. I can't explain it. It just seems weird to me. For example, it might say, "Will hesitated for a moment. The phrase stirred a vague memory with him". Ok, I know that didn't make things clearer, I said I couldn't explain it. What voice would this book be in?

message 230: by Laura Beth (new)

Laura Beth (tampabookworm) | 229 comments If I remember correctly it goes back and forth between 1st and 3rd person. uh oh - you all may not like that - dang - well, remember.. I am the least picky :-)

message 231: by Peep (Pop! Pop!) (new)

Peep (Pop! Pop!) Ok, maybe that's why it's weird. I'll pay attention more to see if that's what it does. I am reading it in batches, so I just need to sit and read for a while to get it.

(It's still a good book though!)

message 232: by Heidi (new)

Heidi Ohhh it switches from 1st person to 3rd person???? That sounds hard to pull off.

message 233: by Cathy (new)

Cathy (catvanb) I recently re-read the Queen's Thief series by Megan Whalen Turner, before reading A Conspiracy of Kings. I love those books! Hope she writes another one soon.

message 234: by Lana (new)

Lana (lanajeany) | 17 comments Has anyone read "Perfect Chemistry" by Simone Elkeles? I have to admit, I really liked it. It's a contemporary YA romance - very sexy. Don't be turned off by the cheesy cover! If you like YA romance, I thought this was a good one. Very easy read, fun dialogue, and exciting characters.

I liked it; it's one of those guilty pleasure reads. The sequel (Rules of Attraction) is now out. Have you read that?

I just read Rules of Attraction today! I liked it. Felt very similar to Perfect Chemistry, but that's okay. It wasn't as good as the first book, but still a fun read.

Lucky you, it's still not available here. I even liked Leaving Paradise by the same author.

message 238: by Lani (new)

Lani (crahfty) | 253 comments I thought Leaving Paradise (Leaving Paradise, #1) by Simone Elkeles was one of Elkeles best. I can't wait for the sequel Return to Paradise (Leaving Paradise, #2) by Simone Elkeles !

I personally thought Perfect Chemistry (Perfect Chemistry Trilogy, #1) by Simone Elkeles was a bit cheesy. I'm still planning on reading the sequel, as soon as my library gets it.

message 239: by Peep (Pop! Pop!) (new)

Peep (Pop! Pop!) Hmmm well it doesn't sound good, and it doesn't look like a book that I'd normally pick up. But it does have great reviews; you guys all seem to like it.

I'll have to pick it up and see what all the fuss is about. You know, strictly research purposes.

message 240: by S.S. (new)

S.S. (ssrice) | 75 comments Just finished "Silver Borne" by Patricia Briggs. While i liked the MC, and would recommend it, there were a few things that bothered me.
Mostly good reading.

Really? I always see it in the bookstore and every time I've decided not to get it... But maybe I should give it a try!

I've recently read "Will Grayson Will Grayson" and I think it's by far the best book either David Levithan or John Green have written.

message 247: by Priscilla (new)

Priscilla | 30 comments I have just finished The Initiation and The Captive, Part I (The Secret Circle, #1-2) by L.J. Smith The Initiation. I enjoyed it, although it was different than I imagined somehow, but liked the way the story is going! So I have ordered Captive and the Power to read next..

message 248: by Susan (new)

Susan I just read Numbers by Rachel Ward and really loved it! The ending blew me away and now I see there is a sequel coming out soon! What a good book!!!

message 249: by Ilana (new)

Ilana (ilanamasad) | 14 comments Okay, well, I'm adding Graceling to my list of books to get!

Oooh, another really really good one is "The Magicians and Mrs. Quent" - Not even sure if it's technically a YA, but I would definitely shelve it as one.

By the way - how do you put the images of the books in your comments?

when you search for books using the book/author thing, you can choose cover instead of title, I think it is at the bottom
